Chit-Chatter: Ashanti Talks All Things Nelly Including Whether Or Not He Cheated, Airing Him Out In Her New Single And Their Previous Plans For Kids

Ashanti is finally talking that talk about getting dirty-dogged by Nelly… Ashanti Gives Revealing Interview On Break Up With Nelly Former common-law couple Ashanti and Nelly were initially pretty quiet about their break up heard around the world late last year and were also notoriously known for keeping their entire relationship on the hush even when they were still together. But following in the surprising footsteps of her tatted up ex rapper boo-thang, who gave a very candid interview about his views on marriage, Hollyweird relationships and a whole lote more earlier this year , the former Murder Inc. misses is ready to talk that talk. Ebro Darden  and K.Foxx of Hot 97 radio  in NYC recently sat down with Ashanti for a quick interview where she [kind of] let it all out about her new music, previous plans for children with Nelly, being cheated on, and more. Check out a few interview excerpts below: On her new album “Braveheart:” “Yes. Album is coming July 30th, Braveheart. I’m super excited. It’s definitely top 40ish and that’s what we were trying to do with the platform that we have with ‘Army Wives’, it just makes perfect sense because that’s that audience.” On whether or not her new single “Never Should Have” is about Nelly: “It’s very obvious that the song came from a sincere place. A lot of people are asking, ‘What is that about?’ or ‘Who is that about?’ It came from a very sincere place. A lot of people have been in a situation where they’ve been betrayed or lied to or taken advantage of.” On whether she planned to have kids with Nelly: “I mean, me and Nelly, we talked about a lot of things. We talked about a whole lot. He has kids, he has great kids. His niece, his nephews. We talked about a lot… so much.” Ashanti has to be the queen of dodging questions, but this might be the most she’s opened up about her personal life ever. Hit the flip to hear her response to whether or not Nelly cheated on her, the current status of their relationship now, and more… Continue reading

Newark Mayor Cory Booker Makes Official Announcement That He Is Running For Senator!

SuperBooker is ready to take it to the next level Newark Mayor Cory Booker Announces That He Is Running For Senator Via HuffingtonPost Newark Mayor Cory Booker on Saturday formally announced he’s in the race to finish the U.S. Senate term of the late Frank Lautenberg. The 44-year-old Democrat made his candidacy official at a news conference Saturday in Newark, New Jersey’s largest city. He was joined by former U.S. Sen. Bill Bradley, a former pro basketball player who for 18 years held the seat Booker is seeking. Bradley, who endorsed Booker, called him “the right person for the right office at the right time.” Booker began raising money for a Senate run even before Lautenberg, who died Monday, announced retirement plans in February. He had raised $1.9 million by the end of the last reporting period in March. Reps. Frank Pallone and Rush Holt are also planning to enter the Democratic primary. Booker is considered the early front-runner. Pallone, 61, had $3.7 million in his campaign coffers at the end of March and has deep union support. Holt, 64, a former research physicist, had $800,000 on hand. No need to worry though, Cory has always been gangsta at gettin’ gwap. According to a Senate campaign filing made in May, Booker has brought in $1.3 million for 90 speeches he has given around the country since 2008. His campaign says he has donated the majority of that money to charities that serve Newark. Booker’s campaign has said that the networking he does ultimately helps the city. In 2010, he was seated next to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg at a dinner during a conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. Two months later, Zuckerberg announced a $100 million donation to improve education in Newark. Would you cast a vote for Newark’s charismatic mayor?

Please Stop The Violence: 13 More People Shot Overnight In Chicago As Annual Shooting Toll Continues To Rise

13 More People Shot Overnight In Chicago The spree of Summer violence in Chicago is underway and doesn’t seem to be getting any better. At least 13 people were reported shot yesterday in the gang via Chicago Tribune A man was shot multiple times in the Sheridan Park neighborhood last night and left in critical condition, one of at least 13 people shot across the city Friday and early Saturday morning, officials said. Paramedics took a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, according to Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez. In a separate incident tonight, at least three people were shot in the 5900 block of South Wood Street about 7 p.m., according to authorities. One man shot in the torso or abdomen was taken in serious-to-critical condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, while another man was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Holy Cross Hospital, according to the fire department and police. Another man, whose age wasn’t available, was shot about 8:18 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Albany Avenue in the Gage Park neighborhood. He was shot all over his body and police said he was in stable condition. A 25-year-old walked into West Suburban Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his ankle about 7:10 p.m., Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said. In earlier attacks Friday afternoon, two teenage boys were shot in separate incidents in the Cragin and South Shore neighborhoods, authorities said. A 16-year-old boy was stabilized and taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital following a shooting where a group of boys or men in a white SUV drove up, stopped and at least one person got out and shot at the boy, hitting him in the leg. The boy was believed to have shouted out slogans for a gang he belongs to as the SUV drove up, and those in the SUV belonged to a rival gang and shot him after he shouted the slogans, a police source said. Earlier in the South Shore neighborhood, a 15-year-old boy was taken to Jackson Park Hospital with his condition stabilized after he was found wounded, according to the fire department. Early Saturday morning, two men were shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood in an attack witnessed by paramedics driving through the area. They’re both in serious-to-critical condition. A couple minutes before that, a 23-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and taken to Roseland Hospital. Two others were shot in their legs early Saturday morning in the 3800 block of West 28th Street in the Little Village neighborhood. An upside down crown — a gang symbol inverted and meant to show disrespect — was painted on a dumpster across from where the two were shot. Police said both men were gang members who did not cooperate with investigators. There has to be some way to stop this madness from happening every year. SMH! Continue reading

The movement has since changed, now calling for the ouster of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan… Continue

People Aint Isht: Florida Cop Fired For Running Over A Man With His Squad Car As He Fled

Some cops are pigs. Cop Fired For Running Over Man According to Raw Story A Florida cop was fired on Friday amid an investigation into the death of 38-year-old Marlon Brown, who police say was run over by a squad car last month as he fled an officer. Dashboard video taken from DeLand, Fla. Officer J.P. Harris’s car shows him pursuing Brown and running him down, according to Deland Police Chief Bill Ridgway. Ridgway spoke to reporters over the weekend, saying he felt compelled to take immediate action after watching the dashcam footage. “This is a regrettable and tragic situation for everyone involved,” he said. “This decision was made in the best interests of the community, the city, and the department. It should be noted that the traffic accident involving Marlon Brown’s death is still under active investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Due to that ongoing investigation I am unable to comment further.” Brown was killed on May 8 amid a pursuit that began when Harris tried to pull him over for not wearing a seat belt. Police later said that Brown was driving with a suspended license. He did not have any contraband in his vehicle. “I can’t sleep and can’t eat and I have this vision in my head,” Laheia Olvera, who was in the car with Brown that day, told The Daytona Beach News-Journal. “From his neck to his waist, he was completely smashed. His head was swelled up.” Brown’s ex-wife Krystal explained to Jacksonville’s News 4 that she’s not satisfied with Harris being terminated. “We actually want charges,” she said. “Just a termination is not good enough, but it’s a start.” Damn, his head was all smashed up. They need to arrest him. Shutterstock

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Attitude Is Forever

The Real Housewives of New Jersey opens up season 5 with a “Garden State of Emergency” and we recap all of the ignorance and attitude in our THG +/- review. The Housewives return to the Jersey Shore to witness the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.  Entire neighborhoods are destroyed and as someone who spent summers at the Jersey Shore, it is heartbreaking to witness. Of course it’s s little hard to shed any tears for the housewives as they tour their once opulent vacation homes. Minus 15 . As Caroline points out, there are real people whose only homes got swept away by the storm. Teresa laments how she could have “drownded” if she’d been there. Plus 10. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard Teresa-ism. And Melissa stares wide eyed and wonders aloud how the water could possibly have gotten inside their house. Minus 18. I just wanted to turn her around and show her the water lapping at her deck on a calm day. What part of hurricane does she not understand? Of course the storm did bring about some good. Joe Guidice finally has a job doing half fast construction and Teresa’s decided to give her out of date clothes to the needy because when you’ve lost everything, the first thing you’ll need is sequined dressed and six inch heels. Plus 22. It’s been a year since our last reunion and the Gorgas and Guidices haven’t spoken since. They’re all still playing the blame game, as in “if he/she really cared he/she would have called.” Minus 11 . Newsflash folks. The phone works both ways. At Teresa’s home the kids are calling one another jerkheads while stumbling around in blinged out heels and Joe refers to Aunt Melissa as “horsey face” to the kids. Can you feel the love? But it truly is sad to watch the kids (in one of the show’s most blatantly set up conversations yet) cry about not seeing their cousins. Minus 25. It’s like pulling teeth to get Melissa and Teresa to agree to a play date and 11 year old Gia intervenes to make it happen. Speaking of the little princess, she grows more obnoxious with each passing season but it’s hard to blame her once you meet her parents. Teresa is obviously in over her head with this one already. The play date is civil at best.  The kids are fine…it’s the grown ups that can’t pull it together.   First off, I actually agreed with Teresa (and that doesn’t happen often). Melissa needed to leave the kids alone to make their own damn necklaces. Minus 12 . They’re little girls. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be fun. And Teresa almost had me again when she made the offer to move her daughter’s Communion party so that the grandparents didn’t have to choose. Plus 20 ….up until she had to take the jab that she was willing to be the bigger person.  Sigh. The bigger person doesn’t actually point that out. Minus 8. Over in Hoboken, Caroline and Al have rented a cool apartment overlooking the city. Plus 25 …but is this about downsizing or staying close to her boys?  Either way, Hoboken’s a fun little city and the views are awesome. It was actually kind of nice to see Caroline giving Joe Gorga a shoulder to lean on, considering the women in his life are all a little nuts. I have no doubt it will come back to bite her. And Jaqueline seems to have extricated herself from the drama, although I doubt that will last long. Watching her family handle Nicholas’ autism is both heartbreaking and uplifting. It really seems to have brought them closer together as a family. Plus 30. Kathy was so irrelevant that I can’t even come up with a comment for her short segment. But as this hour ends and a new season begins I was left with one question… Who should win the trashiest comment of the night? -Joe Guidice referring to Melissa Gorga as a “skank ass beyotch” or… -Jacqueline Laurita announcing that the Gorga /Guidice drama is “right up there on my priority list with bleaching my assh*le.” That’s a tough one. But have faith RHONJ fans. The way this season is looking, Bravo is breeding their next round of reality TV stars right here. How long do you think it will be before we get The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Kids in Therapy ? I predict many seasons of dysfunctional success to come. Episode total = +18!                             Season total = +18!

Celebrity Cribs: Super Model Adriana Lima Lists Her Midtown Manhattan Condo For $5.5M [Photos]

Adriana Lima Lists Midtown Manhattan Condo For $5.5M Must be nice! Via Zillow Blog: Maybe she’s Maybelline. Maybe she’s a mom of two. Either way, Adriana Lima has been living the high life from the beaches of Miami to the metropolitan mecca of Manhattan. Her city-dwelling days may be winding down, though. The Brazilian supermodel is selling her Midtown apartment, located at 146 W 57th St #42DE, New York, NY 10019, for $5.5 million. Described by real estate agent Adam Modlin as a “trophy residence” with “jaw-dropping views of Central Park and the city,” the 2,200-square-foot condo is what you’d expect for the world’s fourth-highest paid supermodel. Visitors are greeted by a 24-hour, white-gloved doorman and concierge, and residents can enjoy an exclusive restaurant and dining terrace, as well as a renovated fitness center. Entering Lima’s unit, mirrors, windows and glass reflect light off nearly every surface, creating a luxurious and spacious feel. A plush media room is lined with a chocolate-colored velvet sofa, while the oversized master suite comes with a customized walk-in closet, soaking tub and spa-like shower. Lima bought the condo for $1.995 million in 2003 — the same year she became a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics. The Victoria’s Secret Angel also owns a 4-bedroom, 4-bath home on Florida’s Indian Creek Island. Between the two properties, it’s not surprising Lima is holding onto the beachfront property with her active family: basketball player-husband Marko Jaric, 3-year-old Valentina and 8-month-old Sienna. Even for Midtown Manhattan, though, the condo is on the pricier side, well above the median list price of $1.544 million. An estimated monthly payment is $20,382, assuming 20 percent down on a 30-year fixed mortgage.
