Cheap Chateau: Landscaping Company Hits Sheree Whitfield With $10k Lawsuit

Sheree Whitfield Hit With Lawsuit From Landscaping Company Can Sheree Whitfield pay her bills ? The RHOA star has faced many challenges while building her grand Atlanta mansion but a recent report by RadarOnline claims Sheree hasn’t paid for services done to her property. In court papers obtained from the Magistrate Court of Fulton County in Georgia, contractor company Heritage Landscape is suing Whitfield for $10,012.50 plus $500 in costs. “Mrs. Whitfield contracted the landscaping services of Heritage Landscape to help in the completion of her home,” the claim filed on January 3rd read. “Mrs. Whitfield has paid some (less than half of her bill), although she was happy with the work.” The lawsuit claims Sheree first told the landscaping company that she “did not have the money” at first then blamed the company for “poor work quality.” “We would just like to get the balance owed,” the court papers read. Whitfield has 30 days to file an answer to the claim. Maybe Sheree should hit up Kenya for a loan? IG

Fair Or Foul? Soap Star Sues Mental Hospital Over Son’s Suicide

Fair Or Foul? Soap Star Sues Mental Hospital For Son’s Suicide Soap actor Kristoff St. John is suing a mental facility for his son’s suicide and he may have some merit to his claim. TMZ explains: Kristoff St. John is suing the hospital where his son committed suicide — blasting the mental facility for giving him access to the plastic bag he used to kill himself. The “Young and the Restless” star’s 24-year-old son Julian St. John killed himself in November while getting treatment at La Casa Mental Health Hospital in Long Beach. He was found dead in a bathroom with a plastic bag over his head. The reason for Kristoff’s wrongful death lawsuit — he says his son did the same thing less than 3 weeks before his death … attempting to asphyxiate himself with a trash bag from his room. In the wrongful death suit, Kristoff says after that failed attempt … the hospital never removed the trash bags from his room. In his lawsuit, Kristoff says there’s evidence the nurses were falsifying records. He says staffers were supposed to check on Julian every 15 minutes because he was a high suicide risk — but records show they were logging welfare checks before they even happened. For instance, Julian was pronounced dead at 1:44 PM, but nurses had already logged 6 welfare checks between 2 PM and 3:15 PM. Kristoff feels the facility was negligent in its supervision of his son — and if the staff had “acted with even the slighted regard for Julian’s safety, he would still be alive today.” Does his claim sound strong enough to be rewarded?

Black College Student Who Had Bike Lock Put Around His Neck By Racist White Roommates Files $5 Million Lawsuit

Black San Jose Student Files $5 Million Lawsuit Following Abuse By Racist Roommates An African-American San Jose University student who suffered abuse at the hands of his white roommates towards the end of last year is about to have the last laugh all the way to the bank. via Mercury News The victim in a racially charged bullying case at San Jose State has filed a claim seeking $5 million from the university, alleging that a dormitory adviser ignored a “clear” warning sign that “a potentially explosive and dangerous situation was developing in Room 704.” The young black man, identified for the first time as Donald Williams Jr., plans to follow up with a lawsuit if the university rejects his claim, his attorney, Carl E. Douglas, said Thursday. In addition to being hit Thursday with the claim, San Jose State also came under criticism from a task force on racial discrimination that President Mo Qayoumi created earlier this year to critique the way it handled the bullying incident. Williams, a 17-year-old freshman this past fall, says he was subjected to a litany of abuse by four of his white suite mates. Among the allegations outlined in court documents, police reports and emails between members of the campus housing staff: Williams was called “three-fifths,” referring to the way the government once counted blacks as just a fraction of a person, and when he protested, they dubbed him “fraction.” The roommates outfitted the four-bedroom dormitory suite with a Confederate flag. They locked Williams in his room. They wrote the “N-word” on a dry-erase board in the living room.  They wrestled Williams to the ground and fastened a bicycle lock around his neck and told him they lost the keys. Sounds like this young man deserves every penny he’s asking for. Kudos to him for following through to make an example out of this incident. Continue reading

Princess Diana Conspiracy Theory: Letter Alleges Military Involvement in Royal’s Death

A new theory of conspiracy in the death of Princess Diana in 1997 has royal family watchers buzzing once again, but is there any merit to it at all? Princess Diana Death Conspiracy Theory Fourteen years after she would’ve seen her son wed Kate Middleton and 16 years after she would have welcomed a Royal Baby grandson, Diana’s death still fascinates. The new conspiracy theory? That someone in the military was behind the tragedy. Officials seem to be already knocking down the claim, however, denying the British military was involved in the deaths of Diana, her boyfriend and driver. “This is not a re-investigation,” London police tersely stressed in a statement. The story appears to have been sent to military authorities and London police. The parents-in-law of a British special forces sniper whose marriage had fallen apart, according to an article in the Sunday People newspaper, made the claim: A handwritten letter by the in-laws alleges that the soldier boasted to his wife that the elite British Special Air Service commando unit was behind the deaths. Military authorities have been aware of the claim since a 2011 court-martial of the soldier’s former roommate on weapons charges, the paper reported. The unnamed soldier mentioned in the letter was a witness in that case. Neither the Sunday People piece nor an earlier version carried by Press Association offered details of the claimed involvement by soldiers in the deaths. Diana, 36, and Dodi Fayed, her 42-year-old boyfriend, died when the Mercedes they were traveling in hit a pillar in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris. They were being followed at the time by paparazzi after leaving the Ritz Hotel. Their driver, Henri Paul, also killed, was drunk and driving at high speed. Bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones was the sole survivor. The princess left behind her two children, Prince William, whose wife Kate recently gave birth to Diana’s first grandchild George, and Prince Harry. A British coroner’s inquest in 2008 concluded that their deaths were the result of “grossly negligent driving of the following vehicles and of the Mercedes.” The inquest found no evidence of murder, yet conspiracy theories accusing intelligence services and/or members of British royalty of orchestrating it have been a constant. Prince Diana remains wildly popular in death, and news of the new claim sparked an immediate surge in discussion of her death on celebrity gossip sites and social media. But many seemed skeptical, and it’s unclear if the allegations will make it any farther than previous claims have. London police certainly aren’t taking it seriously. The U.K.’s Ministry of Defense said “this is for Metropolitan Police to investigate.” “Not Prepared to Discuss Further,” Scotland Yard said in its own statement.

Iggy Azalea Hotness From The Front

I’m glad to see that my new favorite Aussie hip hop artist Iggy Azalea is blowing up these days. And now she’s even famous enough to get her own photoshoot. What I’m not happy about though is why the photographer didn’t capture Iggy’s best angle: from behind. It doesn’t make sense. Everybody knows that booty is her claim to fame.
