Perry is set to premiere the clip on ‘MTV First’ tonight at 7:23 p.m. ET, followed by an MTV.com Q&A. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry in her “Part of Me” music video Photo: Capitol We’re just excited as you are about the premiere of Katy Perry’s “Part of Me” video tonight at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV. But before Katy herself introduces the video and answers your questions on MTV.com following the debut, we have a wish list of five things we’d love to see in the visuals. Directed by Ben Mor and filmed at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base in Oceanside, California, in February, the clip promises to show Perry in full combat mode. So what do we want from the sure-to-be-feisty video? Katy Perry Getting Tough She’s always been pretty fierce, but seeing her crawl around in the dirt and maybe even shoot a gun? Well, that’s a side of the singer we have yet to see. But given how aggressive she is in the video teaser, we know she can live up to the challenge. Katy Perry in Night Vision Who hasn’t imagined what the California Gurl would look like in the green light of night vision? Based on the tease, it seems Katy Cats can see Perry in a whole new, um, light. Katy Perry In Uniform Of all the looks we’ve seen from Ms. Perry (which have even included a bra that shoots whipped cream ), getting a glimpse of Perry in a uniform would be a whole new style. And given that she usually looks impeccably feminine and super glossy, it could be fun to see this new, more lo-fi side of the star. Katy Perry With Black Hair Sure, we love Katy’s blue hair , but have we missed Katy in her signature jet-black hair? Yes! It’s her look, and we can’t imagine a video for a song as dark as this would include candy-colored locks. Katy Perry Kissing Off a Former Lover Given the fact that the song is all about saying “buh-bye” to a dude who doesn’t deserve you, we hope that story line pops up in the video somehow. How that ties into the Marine theme of the video? Well, that will remain a mystery until the premiere, but we can’t help thinking about the old adage about not messing with a woman scorned … Following the premiere, the singer will talk all about her new projects, including Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, during a 30-minute interview with MTV News’ James Montgomery on MTV.com. Don’t miss “MTV First: Katy Perry” tonight, when the pop star will debut her long-awaited video for “Part of Me” at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV. Then head over to MTV.com for an exclusive 30-minute interview with Katy herself! Related Videos Get Ready For ‘MTV First: Katy Perry’

Black-and-white photos show the two artists reigniting their on-screen chemistry in a ‘minimal’ way. By James Dinh Rihanna and Drake Photo: Lester Cohen/ WireImage Drake and Rihanna get close in the long-awaited clip for the MC’s single, “Take Care,” as shown in video stills that surfaced Monday (March 12). Reigniting their on-screen chemistry, the two chart-toppers are seen holding each other before a blank backdrop. Simplicity seems to be the focus, as the duo sport plain wardrobes in the black-and-white images. ThisIsRNB.com , which first leaked the images, revealed that the clip also features a “group of muscular male performers acting out tribal dance scenes” as well as shots of various animals moving in beat to the Jamie xx-produced tune. News of such a minimalistic and artsy clip isn’t all that surprising, as director Yoann Lemoine revealed to MTV News, “They seemed to be super close and that’s what I wanted for the video. Visually, it’s a very humble video. … It’s not crazy. It’s actually the most indie video I’ve done my whole life. It’s probably the most famous artists, and they were so open to a project that was so minimal.” Lemoine isn’t the only one who had a particular expectation for the visual, but also Drake himself. Back in December, Drizzy Drake admitted that he wanted the clip to be the best of his video catalog. “I want to make it perfect — the best video I’ve done to date — so I’m just taking my time,” he said. “Take Care” serves as the duo’s first video collaboration since Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” where the pop darling takes a stroll through New York City and embarks on a flirty venture with Drake. In the cinematic video for his single “Pretty Lil’ Heart”, Robin Thicke barely has to do any work to channel classic Hollywood hunks like Marlon Brando and James Dean — the man just oozes cool confidence. It was fun! I also like your hair like that, both ways.. and I thought the old school touches of yourself was a smart idea – or maybe you did it naturally? Even the album cover is your old school ways, and I thought it was smart,” she wrote. “I hope you do well with this album. I like that it’s dance as well. People respond well to FUN! Good luck with the superbowl, just kick ass and don’t be nervous – just do your ‘thang’!” Charlie Richey added, “The vid is super fun and the song super catchy!” Fans have also been taking to several of Madge’s biggest fan sites to praise the Queen’s latest video offering.
