President Barack Obama made his first appearance on Ellen this week. Elsewhere, Obama said he enjoys House of Cards, but has never seen Scandal . He’s aware of the ABC hit, however, and does offer some perspective on it. “I have to tell ya, life in Washington is a little more boring than displayed on the screen,” he said. “The truth of the matter is, if you followed me, most of my day is sitting in a room listening to a bunch of folks in gray suits talking about a whole bunch of stuff that wouldn’t make very good television.” The President also quipped that the Situation Room could use more dancing and said he plans to get a tattoo in order to “reduce the cool factor” of such ink and discourage his daughters from marking up their bodies. In the following photos and accompanying video from The Oregon Zoo, three cubs try to have some fun with their very serious father, who seems more interested in roaring than climbing or licking. But these little guys are mostly undeterred, doing their best to make a loving impression on dear old dad: And it worked! “The cubs rushed him as soon as they saw him,” an Oregon Zoo keeper said of this initial first meeting, which took place last week. “At first he was surprised but as time passed he grew more patient.
