Donald Sterling Pulls Out Of Holiday Fundraiser In Predominately Black Neighborhood Via TMZ : Donald Sterling pulled out of a charity toy drive in Watts Saturday night … because his security team feared for his safety in the hood with racial tensions running so high across the country. TMZ Sports broke the story — Sterling was scheduled to show up for something called the Chrismukkah Soiree “Party in the Projects.” But a rep for the ex-owner of the Clippers tells us he abruptly canceled after we posted the story. Apparently, Sterling wanted his appearance to be a surprise. We’re told his security team was worried too many people knew where he was going to be — and considering his track record with the black community … things could go south quickly. Donald’s rep says he still donated a sedan-full of toys during a Friday night event held in a much more … Sterling-safe environment — Beverly Hills. L.A. City Councilman Joe Buscaino — who reps Watts — probably didn’t help matters by coming on TMZ Live, and demanding Sterling stay away … unless he’s ready to donate much more than toys. He wanted to show up as a surprise, though? Exactly who did he think was about to be happy to see him??

Matt Barnes’ Aunt Murdered, Star Asks For Help Finding Killer On Social Media The aunt of Clippers’ star Matt Barnes was brutally stabbed and left for dead last week by her estranged husband, who went on the run shortly thereafter and has not been seen since. Matt is well-known to be all about his family , so we’re sure this is a very trying time. Via MailOnline : A furious Los Angeles Clippers star has begged his 262,000 followers for help tracking down the man who is accused of murdered his aunt. Matt Barnes, a 34-year-old small forward, told his fans: ‘This dude stabbed my auntie in the neck last week & left her for dead on the sidewalk, she ended up dying on the way to the hospital in the ambulance.’ The family of his aunt, Tanganyika Williams, 38, meanwhile, has created a GoFundMe page to raise $5,000 to pay for her funeral. Before the start of last season, Barnes signed a three-year, $10.2million contract with the Clippers. On Twitter and Instragram on Tuesday, Barnes posted a picture of the suspect, 51-year-old Michael Williams. Williams is accused of murdering his estranged wife, Tanganyika Williams, 38, after a fight at their Sacramento, California, home on July 8. Police identified Michael Williams as the suspect in the murder, but he fled the scene and police have not been able to find him, the Sacramento Bee reports. He is believed to be hiding out on the streets of Sacramento. This is a truly sad story. Out thoughts and prayers are with Matt and his family during this difficult time. We certainly hope the police are able to locate this fugitive quickly.

In slightly less surprising NBA free agency news than LeBron returning to Cleveland , the New York Knicks have severed ties with Lamar Odom. The 34-year-old never even suited up for the orange and blue. Knicks president, Phil Jackson, who coached Lamar for five years in his prime with the L.A. Lakers, just signed Odom in hopes of revitalizing his career. So much for that. “Unfortunately, Lamar was unable to uphold the standards to return as an NBA player,” Jackson said. “We found it necessary to free up the roster spot.” He did not elaborate on why the Knicks ended Odom’s two-year contract after less than three months, and without him ever playing in a game. You can imagine a whole host of reasons, though, if you’re a Keeping Up With the Kardashians devotee or read any amount of celebrity gossip. His last stint in the NBA was in 2012-13 with the L.A. Clippers, but last summer, during the 2013 offseason, Odom was arrested on a DUI charge. He reportedly abused crack cocaine (the Lamar Odom crack video was an all-timer) and cheated on his wife, Khloe Kardashian, with various women. Khloe has since filed for divorce and sold the home the couple shared, which has been featured (and robbed) on the current season of Keeping Up. Ghana are set to meet Portugal in their final match of Group G in Brasilia on 26 June and Bonsam claims to have conjured a special powder from his gods, mixed with several leaves and concoctions which have been placed around an image and caricature of the former Manchester United player. “I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him,” Bonsam, who serves at the Kofioo Kofi shrine, said in an interview with the Kumasi-based Angel FM. “I am very serious about it. Last week, I went around looking for four dogs and I got them to be used in manufacturing a special spirit called Kahwiri Kapam. “I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World up or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out though injury. “This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. An attorney on behalf of the embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner announced Wednesday Sterling and his estranged wife/co-owner Shelly Sterling reached a deal with the NBA to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a record $2 billion plus various additional benefits. The NBA banned Sterling from the league for life and fined him $2.5 million after a recording released in April captured him making racist remarks about African-Americans. He might as well have given up the ghost since at this point, NO ONE was in favor of him remaining the owner of this team. Good riddance!
