Florida Man Stabs Roommate Over Towels An argument regarding a dirty bathroom towel ended in a drunk Cape Coral man slashing his roommate with a box cutter. Via News Press : Police arrested John Kevin Herrick, 54, on a charge of aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, the Cape Coral Police Department said Friday. On the way to the home, about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, officers heard from a dispatcher that a man had cut his roommate and ran away. As they investigated, officers found that Herrick, who police said was intoxicated, and his roommate were arguing about the towel, but the shouting match turned physical when a box cutter fell out of Herrick’s work belt. “Herrick began slashing his roommate’s legs with box cutter when the tide of the fight turned against him,” police said. Then he ran. Emergency personnel took the roommate to an area hospital. When Herrick saw the ambulance, he went back home. Police arrested him and took him to Lee County Jail where he remains with a bail of $100,000. Herrick has been in jail twice before on drunk driving charges, most recently about 10 months ago. New Jersey Amusement Park In Trouble For Raunchy Charity Event A charity event held last Saturday at a New Jersey amusement park was shut down early as the adults-only event got a little raunchy. The Grio reports: Family-friendly Clementon Park and Splashworld has since come under fire for hosting the event, as many videos of women twerking, grinding and some fight videos have surfaced online. The event was called ‘Summer Splash’ and was billed as an “adults-only” fundraiser for Sickle Cell Anemia. Some residents have even said they will not be returning to the park with their kids for fear of what they might see. “I would like to reiterate that Clementon Park and Splash World is a family-oriented park, and is an important part of this community,” a spokeswoman for the park told NBC10. “This type of event will never occur on our property again.” Jeremy Featherson was in attendance at the “event.” A video he shared of three women explicitly dancing on top of a car has been viewed nearly 400,000 times as of Friday morning. Featherson referred to the woman as “strippers” brought in specifically for the occasion. Some have defended the event, saying there were no children in attendance and it was a private function. Last week, Scott Disick checked into rehab following an embarrassing incident at an Atlantic City hotel. It seems Scott was found drunk and barefoot , wandering the lobby of the Harrah’s Resort at 8 am, Sunday morning. Scott was escorted to his room, where he fell asleep and missed his checkout time and his flight to Chicago later that day. Not surprisingly, the incident made Scott realize the severity of his drinking problem, and just days later, he booked a room at the Rhythmia Life Advancement Center – a non-traditional addiction treatment facility in Costa Rica. The center specializes in Iboga therapy, in which patients consume all-natural hallucinogens and go on supervised “trips” that are intended to help them overcome their addictions. Sadly, it looks as though even such an unusual treatment method couldn’t keep Scott’s attention, as TMZ is reporting that Kourtney Kardashian’s baby daddy will be back in LA on Monday. Insiders say Scott actually had a flight home booked for today, but he had a last-second change of heart and decided to stay at the facility a bit longer. Even so, he’s falling well short of the recommended 21-day treatment plan. Disick has a long history of bailing on rehab , and he once ditched a Malibu treatment center after just 12 hours of in-patient care. His latest brief stint came last summer after Scott was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning . Disick admits that he could’ve died from the incident and it inspired him to seek help, but he lasted just one day in rehab. Earlier this week, Scott Disick checked into rehab for what some claim is his fifth attempt at getting sober through in-patient care. Yes, Scott has a long history of bailing on rehab , but sources close to the reality star say that he appeared to be serious about getting off the sauce this time. Yesterday, Us Weekly “confirmed” that Chelsea Handler had a boob job to celebrate her 40th birthday. Today, the comedienne bared her breasts (for roughly the 4,000th time this year) to prove to fans that she’s still 100% natural: Chelsea tweeted the above photo last night, along with a caption reading, “Here idiots. A totally sober portrayal of proof.” We’re not sure if the pic actually proves anything (other than that Chelsea is fun a lot of fun at a party), but we’re inclined to believe that Handler has not gone under the knife.
