Where Will Bruno Mars’ ‘Rain’ Fall In ‘Breaking Dawn’?

MTV News takes a closer listen to ‘It Will Rain’ for lyrical clues about its placement in the film. By Jocelyn Vena and Amy Wilkinson Bruno Mars Photo: Jemal Countess/Getty Images On Tuesday (September 27), Bruno Mars dropped the sweeping, heartbreaking “It Will Rain,” the lead single from the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” soundtrack , which drops November 8. The Smeezingtons-produced song is all about the pain someone feels when they are deeply in love. On it, Mars croons tortured lines like “There’s no religion that could save me/ No matter how long my knees are on the floor/ So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m making/ To keep you by my side/ And keep you from walking out the door.” While Twilighters will have to wait until November 18 to find out where the song will be featured in the flick, there are several lyrical cues that offer hints. Hit play on the embedded video as we talk through the song, then read on for a deeper exploration. The Wedding Of course it won’t appear in the actual wedding scene, like when Bella walks down the aisle, but lines like “I’ll never be your mother’s favorite/ Your daddy can’t even look me in the eye/ If I was in their shoes I’d be doing the same/ Say, ‘There goes my little girl/ Walking with that troublesome guy’ ” certainly mirror Charlie’s feelings about the nuptials. Jacob’s Goodbye When Mars sings, “Don’t you say goodbye/ Don’t you say goodbye/ I’ll pick up these broken pieces till I’m bleeding/ If that’ll make it right,” it seems to mimic the heartbreak Jacob feels as he sees Bella marry another man and says goodbye to her once more. The Honeymoon Sure, the song is about heartbreak and pain, but the sexy, sultry nature of the track could make for the right kind of mood-setter as Bella and Edward finally get it on. The Pregnancy As Mars cries, ” ‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight/If I lose you, baby/ There’ll be no clear skies/ If I lose you, baby/ And just like the clouds, my eyes will do the same/ If you walk away, every day it’ll rain,” it mirrors Edward’s angst as he thinks he might lose Bella if she has their child, a vampire/human hybrid. Soulja Boy Ripped For Anti-Army Rap

A number of military veterans are demanding an apology from Soulja Boy after the rapper ignited a wave of controversy with his song, “Let’s Be Real.” After plugging his Twitter page (really), Soulja drops this bomb: “F**k the FBI and the army troops … fighting for what? Be your own man … I’ll be flying through the clouds with green like I’m Peter Pan.” Mmmyeah. Soulja Boy – Let’s Be Real Fred A. Flores, a retired U.S. Marine and commissioner for the L.A. County Veteran’s Advisory Commission, spoke out against this “offensive statement.” Flores, who has two children currently serving in the military, calls Soulja Boy “Ungrateful” … adding, “He should apologize to ALL armed forces.” “[The rap] is very irresponsible, especially for an entertainer for the youth of our country, and especially with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 coming up.” Seriously, Soulja. Just because you spell your name wrong doesn’t give you license to start bashing actual soldiers who protect your ass daily.

Beastie Boys Battle Assassins In ‘Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win’ Video

Spike Jonze-directed clip features action figure alter egos, a Yeti and Santigold. By Gil Kaufman The Beastie Boys’ Ad Rock as an action figure in “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win” Photo: Beastieboys.com The Beastie Boys have donned plenty of disguises in their videos over the years, playing everything from cheesy cops to futuristic sanitation workers and famous Hollywood actors in their famed “Fight for Your Right Revisited” mini-movie. But they break new territory in the “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win” clip, which premiered on Monday night. The Spike Jonze joint draws inspiration from such diverse sources as “Robot Chicken,” the 1960s “In Like Flint” spy spoof movies, “Toy Story,” “Shaun of the Dead” and low-rent homemade YouTube videos. Longtime pal and collaborator Jonze (“Where the Wild Things Are”) sends up tough-guy action-hero legend G.I. Joe in the clip, which finds the B-Boys battling against assassins who chase them off the stage and into the snow as guns blaze, TNT is detonated and plastic bodies go up in toxic flames in the purposely hand-made looking clip. In fact, Jonze made no attempt to fall back on CGI to make the video feel futuristic, instead leaving in the visible guide wires and manipulating the figures with hands that often intrude into the frame. It’s not all just guns and fake blood, though: Halfway through the 11-minute version of the clip on the Boys’ site , they are saved from a potentially deadly zombie attack by a giant Yeti who joins their team and hops a helicopter ride with them into the clouds, where, you guessed it, jet-pack-wearing assassins fire RPGs at them, killing their abominable pal. In classic Beastie fashion, as they free-fall from their lofty perch, the boys engage in some witty banter, with MCA asking Mike D about the rumors he read online that he was planning on breaking from the crew and going solo. “I never said that,” Mike responds as the free fall continues. Chutes deployed, they manage to miraculously change outfits, only to be attacked by killer sharks. Luckily, track guest Santigold (in a Bond girl-style plunging neckline wetsuit) is on hand to bail them out, joining them in their submarine as they dodge torpedoes. The Boys finally get to relax at the end and chill on their boat, drinking wine coolers as Santi water-skis behind them and Jonze assures viewers that “no Yetis were harmed during the making of this film.” Related Photos Beastie Boys: A Career Retrospective Related Artists Beastie Boys

Miyah finds out she has Justin Bieber tickets!

She had no reaction for the first 30 seconds and I continued talking to her about it, but then I looked at her and she had her head down. She was crying so hard she wasn’t breathing, so I had to start recording. Man, she seriously loves Justin Bieber! We got enough money for the tickets at the last second because we rented out our house and Manoli was late for her plane to go back to Ohio to sign the papers, which is why she’s in such a hurry to run out the door. Miyah is such a good girl that we just had to make her JB dream come true! http://www.youtube.com/v/AwBI63iYIeA?f=videos&app=youtube_gdata Read the original here: Miyah finds out she has Justin Bieber tickets!

Before the Storm (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics

A video I made for Justin Bieber using the song “Before the Storm” by Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. Lyrics: Miley: I know this isn’t what I wanted, I never thought it come this far, Just thinking back to where we started, And how we lost all that we are. Nick: We were young and times were easy. But I could see it’s not the same. I’m standing here but you don’t see me, I’d give it all for that to change. But I don’t want to lose her, Don’t wanna let her go. Miley: Standin’ out in the rain, Need to know if it’s over, ‘Cuz I will leave you alone. Nick: I’m flooded with all this pain, Knowing I’ll never hold her Both: Like I did Before the storm (Yeah, before the storm) Nick: With every strike of lightning, Miley: Comes a memory that lasts. Both: And not a word is left unspoken, As the thunder starts to crash. Miley: Maybe I Should give up. Standin’ out in the rain, Need to know if it’s over, ‘Cuz I will leave you alone. Nick: I’m flooded with all this pain, Knowing I’ll never hold her Both: Like I did Before the storm Miley: Trying to keep The lights from going out Both: And the clouds from ripping out my broken heart. They always say, That a heart is not a home Without the one who gets you through the storm. Both: Standin’ out in the rain, Knowin’ that it’s really over. Please don’t leave me alone. I’m flooded with all this pain, Knowing I’ll never hold ya, Like I did, Before the storm. (The storm) Like I did Before the storm. http://www.youtube.com/v/p5aD18XV_xk?f=videos&app=youtube_gdata Originally posted here: Before the Storm (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics

Apollo Brown: "Time Passed Autumn" (Video)

http://www.youtube.com/v/bNywrh1AotU

Read the rest here:

When listening to Apollo Brown’s latest project, the fully instrumental Clouds , I tend to envision something similar to the above visuals for “Time Passed Autumn.” You know: A slow shuffle in a snowy urban setting, which is filled with nostalgic imagery, under gray skies. The reason for that is the Detroit producer’s album can be heavy on the atmospherics, which creates an almost ambient-like setting…. Spraying the Skies: 1975 U.S. Patent for Powder Contrail Generation

Posted in this story is a very interesting PDF available for download here for a 1975 U.S. Patent issued to Donald K. Werle, Romas Kasparas, Sidney Katz, assigned through the U.S. Navy, that describes a dispersion method for a “powder contrail.” As other researchers have also pointed out, the Powder Contrail Generation patent document could be a useful clue into the true agenda and purpose of the “chemtrail” phenomenon, which is clearly tied to almost a century of man-made weather manipulation. Already, it is admitted that the government has experimented with geo-engineering, which is says would help reflect heat and combat phony global warming / climate change. It also references 5 other patents that deal with aviation fuel dispersants that go back to the 1920s. It further references the “chaff” application, as to create a radar jamming reflective screen, and other potential applications, including the use of numerous other powder formulas. • March 1, 1927 Patent #1619183 by Bradner and Olgesby for the Process of Producing Smoke Clouds from Moving Aircraft • June 30, 1936 Patent# 2045865 by Glen H. Morey and assigned by Phillips Petroleum for Skywriting Apparatus • April 8, 1952 Patent# 2591988 by Oswin B. Willcox and assigned to “Pont DU” (a.k.a. DuPont?) for Process for producing improved tio2 titanium pigments •See Also: April 8, 1969 Patent# 3437502 by Alfred J.
