Reese Witherspoon is featured in the latest issue of Red. And while the actress spoke to the magazine prior to her surprising arrest for disorderly conduct this month, at least one excerpt from the Q&A may shed some light on what the Oscar winner was thinking during the unfortunate incident. Or not thinking, we should say. “Ever since I had the baby, I can’t remember anything. Serious, this child stole my brain,” Witherspoon says of son Tennessee, who she and Jim Toth welcomed in October. “I’m losing friendships over forgetting to get back to people,” she continues. “But you can’t keep up with everything. I’ve got a 13-year-old, a nine-year-old and a baby.” The actress (humorously) adds that keeping track of her children is “like CNN ticker tape running through my mind at all times . . .’Where is Ava? She’s okay. Good. Where is Deacon? He’s okay. Good. Where is Tennessee? Is he okay? Yes. Great. Back to Ava…’ It doesn’t stop.” So it’s understandable why new parents would want to down a few drinks during a night out. But less understandable why her husband would then get behind the wheel and why she would disobey police orders. Ironically, Reese also touches on her reputation as America’s Sweetheart, telling the publication: “People definitely hug me a lot, and hand me their babies. But it’s better than people throwing stuff at me, right? I’m always met with smiles.” It will be interesting to see if that continues to be the case.
Mom at some point you have to wake up from the fog. Boston Bombers’ Mom Calls Bombing Fake According to The NY Post The father of the two Boston bombing suspects said Thursday that he is leaving Russia for the United States in the next day or two, but their mother said she was still thinking it over. Zubeidat Tsarnaev told CNN that she believed the terror attack was staged, calling it “a show.” “That’s what I want to know, because everybody’s talking about it — that this is a show, that’s what I want to know. That’s what I want to understand,” she said. The mother told the network she had watched a video about the conspiracy theory and said she hadn’t seen images from the bombings. The mother wildly claimed the blood on Boylston Street was paint but then cried for the victims of the brutal blasts. “I really feel sorry for all of them. Really feel sorry for all of them.” The parents of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev returned last year to Dagestan, one of several predominantly Muslim provinces in southern Russia, where they lived briefly before moving to the US a decade ago. Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed in a gun battle with police, spent six months last year in Russia’s Caucasus, which has been ravaged for years by an insurgency led by religious extremists. They say a mother’s love is unconditional, but we think this mother’s love is just plain delusional. AP

Big Roland has hit the pavement walking, Huff Po is reporting: CNN political analyst Roland Martin announced on Twitter that his last day with the network will be in April, Breitbart reported on Tuesday. Roland, who was a regular presence during the network’s election coverage and on its morning show “Starting Point,” was suspended from CNN last year after he tweeted offensive comments during the Super Bowl. About a month later, CNN lifted the suspension and reinstated his presence on the network. Martin responded to his Twitter followers who asked why his last day on CNN would be April 6. “New boss wants his own peeps,” Martin wrote, presumably referring to CNN’s new president Jeff Zucker. Zucker assumed his role as president in January. He moved Soledad O’Brien from her spot hosting “Starting Point” and hired Chris Cuomo to anchor the network’s morning show. CNN has not yet named a female co-anchor for the show though primetime host Erin Burnett is expected to fill the role. Pretty sure Roland will land on his feet… running! Huffington Post
Steubenville Teens Found Guilty In Sexual Assault Case The verdict has just been announced in the high-profile case of the two Ohio teens accused of forcing sex on their classmate. via CNN Two Steubenville high school football players accused of forcing sex on an allegedly drunk 16-year-old girl were found guilty by an Ohio judge on Sunday. Judge Thomas Lipps announced his decision after reviewing evidence presented over four days of testimony in the case against 17-year-old Trent Mays and 16-year-old Ma’lik Richmond, who were tried as juveniles. Mays and Richmond were tried before Lipps, a visiting judge, without a jury. The trial moved quickly — and through the weekend — to accommodate the judge’s schedule. Mays was also found guilty of disseminating a “nekkid” photo of a minor. Mays was sentenced to a minimum of two years in a juvenile correctional facility. Richmond was sentenced to a minimum of one year, but like Mays could be in detention until he is 21. Photo Credit: CNN
We can’t afford to lose good teachers… New Orleans Teacher Terrilynn Monette Still Missing Via HuffingtonPost A talented young teacher credited with turning around her underperforming elementary school class in New Orleans has been missing for almost two weeks. Second-grade teacher Terrilynn Monette was last seen on March 2 after a night of drinking with friends. The 26-year-old was celebrating her nomination as “Teacher of the Year” in her district, CNN reported. A barkeeper cut off the tipsy Monette, who told friends she was going to sleep it off in her car parked nearby, WGMB reported. Friends said they saw the California native talking to a man near her car at 4 a.m. — by sunrise she and her 2012 black Honda Accord were gone without a trace. Her cellphone stopped emitting a signal several hours before she disappeared, police said. The man that she was seen speaking to in the wee hours of the night has been interviewed by police and ruled out as a suspect in her disappearance. Volunteers, including co-workers from Woodland West Elementary School and family members from her hometown of Long Beach, turned out in droves to search for Monette, WWLT reported. More than 200 people checked New Orleans’ City Park, which is near Parlay’s Bar in the Lakeview section where she’d been partying with friends. Not only is Terrilynn a loved friend, sister, and daughter, she is a valuable part of the lives of her students and community. If you live in the Nawlins area please keep an eye out for
