Certified Chubbylumpkins Chris Christie Lashes Out On White House Doctor Who Said He’s Too Fat To Be Prez…”Shut Up, Hack!!!”

Mr. “I am the healthiest fat person” Chris Christie sure got a little touchy when a doctor said he was too fat to be president…. Via Philly Mag: Yesterday, CNN decided to ask a doctor if Chris Christie was too fat. The doctor, who used to work at the White House, and helped Bill Clinton shed 30 pounds, did not mince words. “It’s almost a like a time bomb waiting to happen unless he addresses those issues before running for office,” said Connie Mariano. ”I’m worried about this man dying in office.” Chris Christie, as is his wont, went on the offensive. He called her a “hack” and said she should “shut up.” Oh, it’s on. “I find it fascinating that a doctor in Arizona — who’s never met me, never examined me, never reviewed my medical history or records and knows nothing about my family history — could make a diagnosis from 2,400 miles away,” Christie said told Bloomberg. “She must be a genius. She should probably be the surgeon general of the United States, I suspect.” Responded Mariano, upon being dutifully contacted by a reporter for comment: “You don’t have to be a doctor to see that he is obese.” Also, she added, “I’m not a hack.” Lmao. She’s absolutely right. Poor Chris needs to shut up his damn self and hop on a treadmill. He’s always defending his weight , poor thang

Jimmy Lee Dykes Dead; Alabama Hostage Standoff Ends

The Alabama hostage situation , in which a man held a boy in a bunker for seven days, ended with the suspect dead and the 5-year-old safely rescued. Reports of an explosion at Jimmy Lee Dykes’ Midland City property came first on Monday afternoon, followed shortly by media reports of his death. At a hastily organized roadside press conference near the crime scene, FBI agent Steve Richardson said negotiations had deteriorated over the last 24 hours. He said they entered the bunker shortly after 3 p.m. fearing the child was “in imminent danger,” because they’d seen Dykes, 65, carrying a firearm. The boy, identified only as Ethan , was transported to a hospital, state Rep. Steve Clouse told CNN. He appeared physically unharmed, remarkably. Witnesses said they heard a boom and gunfire. Ambulances arrived soon afterward. The crisis began last Tuesday, January 29, when authorities say Dykes boarded a school bus and demanded that he take two boys between six and eight. The bus driver, Charles Albert Poland, Jr., is hailed as a hero for putting himself between Dykes and the children. His valor cost him his life. Dykes shot Poland several times before taking the 5-year-old from the bus. “You didn’t deserve to die but you died knowing you kept everyone safe,” said a letter from a student that was read aloud at the bus driver’s funeral. The bunker in which Jimmy Lee Dykes holed up was four feet underground. He equipped it with electricity and was said to have weeks of supplies stored. Negotiators communicated to him through a ventilation pipe. Because of the risk of tornadoes in Alabama, bunkers are a relative fixture on the landscape. Authorities sent Ethan’s prescription medicine into the property as well as items the boy requested like Cheez-Its snacks and a red Hot Wheels toy car. There was open communication with Dykes, according to authorities, but he’d made few demands, making it unclear what he hoped to accomplish. Some neighbors believed that Dykes may have timed the abduction to nearly coincide with a court appearance scheduled for the day after he shot Poland. In December, Dykes was arrested for shooting a gun to frighten a neighbor. For that incident and others, people who lived near Jimmy Lee Dykes were leery of him long before he became a hostage-taker who made national news. They said he once beat a dog to death with a pipe, warned children they’d be shot for crossing onto his land and guarded his property with a flashlight and gun. He was reportedly an anti-government loner who allegedly lost contact with an adult daughter years ago, according to people who lived near him.

Get The Switch: Papa Joe Jackson Defends His Decision To Mollywhop His Kids And Says Parents Today Are Too Soft

Joe Jackson Says Parents Today Are Too ‘Soft’ On Their Kids The late Michael Jackson often documented his strained relationship with his father Joe and blamed much of their dysfunctional father-son bond on the fact that papa Joe was quick to the put them paws on Michael and the rest of his brothers frequently back in the day. Joe has always stood by his claims that it was his rear end rearing that turned MJ into the superstar that he became, and now he’s even saying that today’s parents could learn a thing or two from the way that he raised his clan. via The Grio Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the infamous Jackson family of performers, argued that parents today are too “soft” when it comes to disciplining their kids, on a recent episode of CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight. “Yeah, they are too soft. One of the reasons I say that is because kids nowadays are killing their parents in some cases,” Jackson said. “Let’s get into this ‘beating’ thing. There’s no such thing as ‘beating a kid.’ You whip them or punish them over something they did, and they will remember that. And they’ll remember it in such a way that they won’t do it again. That’s the way I was.” Jackson has been accused of beating and physically abusing his children in the past, most notably by the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. His father admitted spanking his son but always denied that he crossed the line. “I whipped him with a switch and a belt…I never beat him. You beat someone with a stick,” Joe Jackson told the BBC in 2003. From what we know of the story, most would agree that papa Joe went overboard with the beatings when it came to his kids, but does he have a point about today’s parents lacking the gut to discipline their kids altogether?

Freaky Deeky Georgia Math Teacher Popped For Chopping Down Seven High School Students!

Here’s a math equation for that a$$! Ms. Wilson + sex with 7 students = $35K bail money!!! Via NY DailyNews reports : A ninth-grade math teacher allegedly had sex with seven students, one of whom was below the age of consent. DaNita Wilson, 32, was arrested Tuesday and charged with seven counts of sexual assault, reported CNN. “Some of the (relationships) had been going on for at least one year or longer,” said Stacy Carson, assistant special agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Wilson is accused of having sex with six students who are over 16-years-old, Georgia’s legal age of consent, and one 15-year-old student, Carson explained. Wilson was suspended with pay from her job at Charlton County High School, pending a formal employment hearing, where the school district’s superintendent, John Lairsey, will recommend her termination. “We’re just shocked and disappointed,” said Lairsey. “And it’s just hard to believe. Just disappointed and disheartened that people we put our trust in would violate that trust.” The school district started investigating the claims after receiving a complaint about Wilson, who has worked at the school for a decade. “We received information within the school system,” he said. “The main meetings continued on Tuesday. At that point, we got the sheriff’s office and GBI involved, and (Wilson) was removed from class before lunch.” Lairsey escorted her to police custody just before lunch and handed her a letter that explains her suspension, according to CNN. Wilson’s bond was set at $35,000 — $5,000 for each case of sexual assault. Her court dates have not yet been scheduled. SMH, based on these pictures we’re thinking maybe DaNita suffered from a lil low self este

New Black Kid On The Block: Rockie Fresh Premieres New Track “Superman OG” Feat. Lunice

Whatchu know about Rockie Fresh? Is good hip-hop still out there? Via Pitchfork : Twenty-one year old Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh covered plenty of ground already for his age, parlaying early connections to Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump and Good Charlotte’s Madden Brothers into a deal with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music imprint. Since breaking in with 2009′s Rockie’s Modern Life, he’s been prolific enough to establish a sizable back-catalogue of entry points. His latest single, “Superman OG”, finds Rockie sitting back in the pocket, throwing around braggadocio (“Y’all niggas Dr. Scholls/ You about to see defeat”) while Montreal producer and TNGHT member Lunice supplies a mutant of a beat, all percussive Bic flicks and chattering digital noise building to a point where the thing goes full water temple at the two-minute mark. The beat is the type of Aggro Cragged-out elbow music that would, in most cases, shed your average rapper’s dead weight. Take a listen and, as always, your feedback is always appreciated! Chelsea Clinton Tweets From Mother’s Bedside; Doctors Insist Hillary Did Not Suffer Stroke

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton remained hospitalized Wednesday for treatment of a blood clot in her head, as daughter Chelsea tweeted from her bedside. After being photographed looking visibly distraught outside the hospital, Chelsea wrote that she was grateful to be starting the new year with her family. “Wishing all a healthy & happy 2013,” Chelsea, 32, wrote. “Grateful to be starting the new year with my family.” Former President Bill Clinton has been spotted driving to and from his wife’s side at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for much of the past 48 hours. Hillary is being treated with blood thinners to help dissolve the clot, which is located in a vein behind her right ear that helps carry blood away from the brain. In a statement yesterday, doctors assured it was not a life-threatening condition and assured that Clinton had suffered no brain damage or stroke. “In all aspects of her recovery, the Secretary is making excellent progress and we are confident she will make a full recovery,” Drs. Lisa Bardack and Gigi El-Bayoumi said. A clot occurs when a blockage builds up, either from partial thrombus (coagulated blood) or an outside compression. When the vein becomes blocked, the coagulated blood may extend to veins draining the area, which could lead to a lack of oxygen and tissue death. For Clinton, ‘the particular vein they’re talking about, there are enough other areas for the blood to travel through so it doesn’t build up in the brain,’ Dr Sanjay Gupta said on CNN. The condition can be treated with blood thinners administered over several months until the clot breaks down. Doctors are keeping her under their watchful eye as they adjust the dose of her anti-clotting medication. Chelsea, who was spotted leaving the hospital Monday by the New York Daily News, was the first member of the Clinton family to be seen publicly at the hospital. Chelsea, 32, a special correspondent for NBC News, looked upset as she left the hospital – cell phone in hand. She ignored questions from a reporter and went back inside. Aides and doctors say Clinton contracted a stomach virus in early December and became dehydrated, then fainted, fell and hit her head on December 9. She was diagnosed with a concussion on December 13 and hasn’t been seen in public since.

Ann Curry to NBC: Let Me Leave!

Ann Curry has already been screwed over once by NBC. Now she’s determined for it not to happen again. With CNN reportedly wooing the anchor, sources tell Radar Online that Curry wants out of her NBC contract. Big time. “She has formally asked her attorney to explore exit options from the network,” the Curry insider claims . “However, NBC bosses have indicated they are unwilling to release Ann from the contract. If Ann were to just quit, there is a non-compete clause, which would prohibit her from working for another news outlet for two years.” Because Curry was demoted from The Today Show, she believes NBC breached the terms of her deal and she ought to be released. The CNN gig is especially attractive to the reporter because former NBC boss Jeff Zucker is now in charge there. He wants her to lead a program at 8 p.m. every night. In other morning show news: Folks are screaming at Matt Lauer . Robin Roberts will not return to Good Morning America until mid-2013.

Hillary Clinton Hospitalized With Blood Clot

It’s been a tough few weeks for Hillary Clinton. The Secretary of State was hospitalized after doctors found a blood clot during an exam related to the concussion she suffered during a fall earlier this month. “Her doctors will continue to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion,” Philippe Reines, deputy assistant secretary of state, said Sunday. “They will determine if any further action is required.” She’s being treated with anti-coagulants and is expected to be stay at New York Presbyterian Hospital for 48 hours so she can be monitored, CNN reports. The 65-year-old, who has visited more than 110 countries in the past four years, suffered a concussion when she passed out and fell in her D.C. home. Reports at the time said dehydration suffered after a trip the former first lady took to Europe was the cause of her fainting spell and thus the fall that concussed her. Clinton was recently named one of Barbara Walters’s 10 most-fascinating people of 2012 and plans to step down from her secretary post early next year. President Barack Obama has named John Kerry her replacement.

The FCC Announces It Wants To Lower Those High Prison Phone Charges

Inmates families get hit hard when a loved one makes a call home but what do you think about this decision ?? Via CNN In the age of free phone calls and Skype, one group of people is still paying exorbitant rates for talk time: prisoners. The bill for a typical 15 minute state-to-state call tops $16 in some areas. That’s because most prisons offer exclusive deals to phone service providers in exchange for astronomical commissions. The Federal Communications Commission labeled interstate inmate calling services (ICS) a government-sponsored “monopoly.” The FCC wants it broken up. On Friday, the agency opened for public comment its proposed rules to lower interstate prison phone call rates. Its plans include the establishment of an interstate rate benchmark, caps on rates and the end of exclusivity agreements. The fees providers pay to prisons add 43% on average to the cost of a call, the FCC estimated. As a result, prisoners pay far less for interstate calls in the small handful of states that do not charge commissions. New York, for instance, has banned commissions, and its average per-minute rates are as low as 5 cents per minute — the lowest of all states’ rates. Colorado’s ICS, which does charge commissions to its payphone vendors, is the nation’s most expensive, at 89 cents per minute. On top of per-minute rates, most ICS operators charge prisoners call-initiation fees, which vary from 50 cents to $3.95 per call. Prison calling services differ from typical payphones in some crucial ways. They can block inmates from making calls to certain people, including judges or witnesses. They can’t dial 800 or 900 numbers, and phone conversations can be monitored. If a prisoner is repeatedly making a call to the same number, for instance, corrections officers might listen in or record future calls. The systems also periodically notify the recipient that the call is being placed from a jail. All those features — and the personnel needed to manage the systems — make prison systems more costly to operate than regular payphones. But the wide disparity in ICS rates suggests that some operators are going overboard. The FCC proposal comes more than a decade after a U.S. District Court dismissed a class action lawsuit initiated by Martha Wright of Washington, who claimed that she paid $1,000 a year to cover the costs of her grandson’s phone calls from various state prisons. The judge in the case referred Wright to the FCC, which she contacted nine years ago. Thoughts?? Images via tumblr
