Billy Ray Cyrus: My Divorce is Off!

During an appearance on The View that will air today, Billy Ray Cyrus made a startling announcement: he said he’s called off his divorce from wife Tish. “I want to put my family back together,” he told the hosts and the audience, adding: “Things are the best they’ve ever been.” That’s quite the departure from how things have been recently, considering the interview Billy Ray gave to GQ last month in which he blamed Hannah Montana for destroying his family and said Satan was attacking Miley. But Billy Ray claims things are much better now: “I feel like I got my Miley back in a way,” he said during yesterday’s taping. “I feel like we are the daddy and daughter that we were before Hannah Montana happened.” In October, Billy Ray and wife Tish issued a joint statement announcing plans to end a 17-year marriage. Miley has often been seen out with her mom since then – often defending her from paparazzi – but sources say she hasn’t spoken to her dad in months. We’d be very happy for the family if that’s changed, but we also must be a bit hesitant to believe anything Billy Ray says. The man has proven to often be full of it.

The Black Eyed Peas Just Can’t Get Enough

“This song is about love and strength and is dedicated to our friends in Japan.” That’s how Will.I.am introduced his group’s rendition of “Just Can’t Get Enough” last night, as The Black Eyed Peas followed Lee DeWyze and performed on the American Idol results show. Toned down a bit from their Super Bowl spectacle, the single featured Will.I.am on the piano and Fergie in a white dress with St. Patrick’s Day-themed nail polish. A nice touch. Christina Aguilera Aims to Empower

With her face plastered on tabloids and with a recent arrest on record, Christina Aguilera faced the press yesterday. The singer made her first public appearance since being booked for public intoxication, telling journalists gathered for an event to hype NBC’s The Voice that life can be difficult in the spotlight. “We’re only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about,” Aguilera said. On the panel, Christina joked around with fellow judge Adam Levine and played with son Max throughout the interview. She continued: “You take the good with the bad. It’s by telling our stories, sharing our experiences and really giving a first hand look at us as human beings [that shows] who we really are, apart from what we seem to be.” Her goal as a judge on this American Idol -like competition? To inspire contestants. ” The Voice isn’t about tearing people down. I want to bring people up. I want to empower them and give them all the tools I had. I love that I get to be apart of that.”

Britney Spears Talks Femme Fatale, Kids, Music, Life With Rolling Stone

“Hold It Against Me” is a #1 hit. “Till the World Ends” is not far behind. Two additional tracks, “I Wanna Go” and “Inside Out” , leaked just last week. Both have drawn waves. The pop princess is back, baby. Britney Spears opens up to Rolling Stone in a fun new Q&A session. She talks a lot about her new album, Femme Fatale , as well as her home life. Some excerpts from her interview below … On the kids’ take on FF : “They definitely dance to it but they are still confused …. It’s like, ‘who is this Britney Spears singer in contrast to mommy?'” On her involvement in the process : “I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I’m very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album.” “I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me. Very few songs do that. I guess it’s a good process because I love all my music. I know there are a lot of artists that hate songs they recorded.” On the sound of Femme Fatale: “I wanted to make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you’re going out at night that gets you excited but I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now.” “I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout.” On what she listens to at home : “I love the Peas but I also love Deadmau5. I guess I’m all over the place. Lately I have been listening to Robyn and Adele non-stop but I also love to find new artists that very few people know about.” On working with will.i.am : “The Peas make incredibly catchy, fun pop/dance records and I LOVE will.i.am’s style. I have always wanted to do a song with him and would love to work with him more in the future. He is so interesting.” On working with Dr. Luke : “We have known each other for a long time. Most people don’t know this but we worked together when I was recording Blackout . He was incredible back then and he has only gotten better over the years.” Here’s Britney’s latest efforts from the new record … Britney Spears – I Wanna Go Britney Spears – Inside Out

Selena Gomez Blushes Over Justin Bieber

I’m blushing. So responded Selena Gomez on The Late Show last night, as David Letterman peppered her with questions about Justin Bieber. After showing the singer a photo of herself and the Biebs at a Vanity Fair Oscars party in February , he asked Selena how long she’s known Justin (two years), how they met (his manager called her mom/manager) and whether or not the duo are dating. Selena’s unclear reply? “He’s been in my life for so long, and it’s just nice to have someone that understands what you’re going through.” Selena Gomez on The Late Show: Avoiding Bieber… Gomez and Bieber are absolutely entitled to their privacy, but consider the lesson of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart : it might be best to just admit to a relationship and end the speculation once and for all. Otherwise, the young stars will continue to be asked about their status and will be forced to come up with awkward answers that pretty much confirm it anyway.

Jimmy Fallon to Tiger Woods: Thank You!!!

Tiger Woods made a rare television appearance last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon – the golfer’s first such interview since the late 2009 “incident.” We don’t have to get into Rachel Uchitel , the car crash and everything else. Fallon started off asking Woods what he’s been up to the last year and a half. “Oh, nothing, nothing… Playing bad golf,” the champion said, smiling. “From a comedian’s stand-point and my monologue writers, thank you,” Fallon said, speaking for all of us. “Your awful pain, we laughed at your pain.” Even Tiger had to chuckle when Fallon added: “Not even making jokes, it kind of wrote itself. Balls, shaft, holes, foursomes … it really writes itself!” Woods had a fairly good time after that, talking about his charitable foundation, his recent top-10 finish and his bachelor pad/backyard golf course. Later, Woods, Fallon and Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler demonstrated Tiger’s new golf video game (ostensibly his reason for being there). Thia Megia Makes Like Pocahontas

Tasked with covering a song from the year of her birth, Thia Megia went all Disney on American Idol viewers last night. The season 10 hopeful delivered a lovely version of Vanessa Williams’ “Colors of the Wind” from the 1995 film Pocahontas . Wow. Yes, Thia Megia was born in 1995. It’s a safe choice, one that shows off Megia’s steady, strong tone and style. Randy thought the selection was a bit too safe, while Jennifer Lopez questions the quality of her vibrato. Watch the performance for yourself and sound off now: What do you think of Thia? Thia Megia – Colors of the Wind
