Khloe Kardashian-Lamar Odom Reality Show Spinoff: Coming Soon!

It was only a matter of time before Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom got their own show. Every other combination of people in that useless family has. The L.A. Lakers star and the … whatever she is will begin filming this awesome E! spinoff show in the spring, according to Us Weekly and Radar Online . No word on when Kendall and Kylie Jenner get theirs. Because we don’t know enough about the Kardashians . Keeping Up With The Kardashians first gave us a glimpse into their lives in 2007. Khloe Kardashian then spun off with Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami . Khloe and Lamar married in September of last year 2009 and he’s been making regular appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians since. Their spinoff show, which has yet to be titled, is expected to be a Newlyweds -style effort, offering insight into Khloe’s day-to-day life as a wife. She’ll also play stepmother to Lamar’s two children, Destiny and Lamar Jr., who he had with ex Liza Morales. Should be absolutely riveting TV. What do you think? Will you watch a Khlomar spinoff?

VMA White Carpet Covered In Plastic Until Stars Arrive

By Kara Warner VMA white carpet Photo: Jonathan Goldner / MTV News With the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards mere hours away, everyone here at MTV is working overtime in preparation to make this year’s show the best and brightest ever. Earlier this week, the white carpet crew (a team of about 55) started assembling the soon-to-be star-studded area, built to capture this year’s theme, “Hollywood Mansion.” Crew members pulled 16-hour shifts during the five days for the five days leading up to the show. On Saturday, nearly 600 feet of white carpet were rolled out and promptly covered in plastic in order to prevent any unwanted sullying. Staging supervisor Aaron Chawla said he won’t be removing it until the last possible minute before the VMA Pre-Show begins. In the event of any unforeseen spills or stains, Chawla assured us his team has plenty of tools in place for quick fixes, including vacuum cleaners, Resolve, steam cleaners and, if all else fails, props that can be creatively placed over any stubborn markings. The worst possible substance to come in contact with the white carpet? Chewing gum. Adam Stewart, production manager for staging and light, agreed that gum is a challenge; he also mentioned colored liquids as potential hazards. Scientists Discover Star 300 Times More Massive Than The Sun

Astronomers have identified the most massive stars known. These objects are millions of times brighter than our Sun and the largest of them all is a whoppin' 300 times the mass of our favorite star. The stars were discovered in two clusters—NGC 3603 and RMC 136a—and researchers used a “combination of instruments on the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope, in addition to archival data from the Hubble Space Telescope, to study the stellar nurseries.” With this combination of tools, they were able to discover some almost scary details about R136a1, the most massive of the stars: Its current mass is approximately 265 solar masses, and its estimated birth weight was as much as 320 times that of our sun. R136a1 also has the highest luminosity of any star found to date – nearly 10 million times greater than the sun. Oil Gusher Could be 100% Capped by Monday

(CBS/AP) The federal official leading the Gulf oil spill cleanup says a new containment cap and an additional ship collecting oil could effectively contain the spill as early as Monday. National Incident Commander Thad Allen said Friday that the work to replace a leaky containment cap on the well head with a tighter one will begin Saturday. At the same time, a ship connecting to a different part of leak is expected to come online Sunday. If all goes according to plan, the combination could collect all of the oil leaking from the seafloor. Workers at the site of BP's massive spill are set to begin the complicated cap-switching operation this weekend. But oil may flow unimpeded for several days during the process. Allen said Friday that undersea robots will begin removing a cap mounted over the jagged remnants of the well head Saturday. Special Section: Disaster in the Gulf They plan to put a new containment cap that will form a better seal. Then, up to four ships will begin collecting the oil and gas. The time from beginning the removal of the old cap to attaching the new cap will take several days. Work continues on what officials hope will be the ultimate solution: a pair of relief wells intercepting the leaking well far below the seafloor. BP said Thursday that the first of the relief wells could be done by the end of the month. And if that doesn't succeed, one backup being considered is transferring the crude to non-producing underwater wells that are miles away. BP would run the flow through pipelines across the floor of the Gulf of Mexico, Allen said. Allen on Thursday sent BP a letter demanding details about contingency plans in the event they have to proceed with the simultaneous maneuver or if the sealing cap installation fails, including due to severe weather. The oil company has 24 hours to respond. Crews are working to connect a third ship, the Helix Producer, which would help another 25,000 barrels daily. By Kara Warner Chris Hemsworth Photo: Entertainment Tonight Hot on the heels of the release of the first official photo (and alleged concept art) from “Thor” comes a video report straight from the Santa Fe, New Mexico, set, courtesy of “Entertainment Tonight.” The clip features a charming exchange between two of the film’s stars, Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) : The duo discuss their chemistry and Hemsworth’s impressive build. Portman also expresses delight upon discovering that Hemsworth was on Australia’s version of “Dancing with the Stars.” The topic of Hemsworth’s toughness and physique are played up the video, along with a few brief action scenes. “He’s a god,” Portman says of her co-star, even alluding to his healthy, “big appetite.” Later, Portman pokes fun at herself with a fake teaser: “Chris and that little midget girl, starring in Thor!” Director Kenneth Branagh praised Hemsworth’s dedication to the role, saying the actor worked himself into peak condition. “He took seriously the challenge that had to be taken on by whoever was going to play Thor, to find this combination we wanted of a sort of Herculean strength, and gosh, he’s strong,” Branagh said. “We’ve had him doing all sorts of physical feats on it. Howard Stern’s getting a lot of Internet traffic and buzz from Emma The Amish Model, the latest guest on The Howard Stern Show . For some reason the combination of “Amish” and “model” draws more attention than ” Denver Broncos Tim Tebow blasted by hot chick at bar .” But more important and more serious is her story. Emma The Amish Model was kicked out of her community for being a model. She left when she was 18. Still, while she may not know a lot of things as Howard claims, I can’t help but feel sorry for her. Is Howard going to get her a good modeling contract? What’s the future for her?
