If there’s one thing we learned from The Hunger Games stars at this weekend’s Comic-Con panel, it’s that the new Catching Fire trailer looks dope! It’s there’s a second thing, it’s that Jennifer Lawrence is a glamorous individual. Or not. J-Law and co-star Josh Hutcherson relayed a story to the enormous crowd in San Diego that offered quite a contrast to the officially sanctioned new footage. “Oh my god, we should’ve brought that clip with the snot,” she exclaimed when asked a question about how hot the kissing scenes in the new film are. “In the resuscitation there was a kiss and there was slobber, and the slobber sort of got connected to my face,” Hutcherson explained. “It will be very hot.” Sounds it! “I’ll put it on YouTube or something,” Lawrence said. “You gotta see it. There’s all this snot coming out of my nose, and when I go to kiss Josh, it connects with his mouth.” Lovely. Catching Fire Trailer (Comic-Con 2013) Other highlights from the panel, which also featured Liam Hemsworth , Lenny Kravitz, Willow Shields, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, and Frances Lawrence: Sam Claflin is a sex god. Who couldn’t be there. But “He is a sex god!” said Hutcherson of the actor, who some fans worried isn’t hot enough to play Finnick . Liam Hemsworth is into pain, and we’re not just talking about watching Miley Cyrus Twerking . He takes a whipping in front of all of District 12. Lawrence is trained in archery and parkour to help embody Katniss Everdeen, but “the hardest stunt is probably still just basic running,” she joked. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premieres November 22.

The first footage from The Vampire Diaries Season 5 was revealed at the end of a long series retrospective today at the show’s Comic-Con panel. In San Diego, TVD’s “big three” and executive producer Julie Plec teased a number of new developments, along with our first look at the new season. One featuring Paul Wesley (Stefan), now in full Silas mode: The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Preview The closing moments of the series-summarizing montage show the ancient, mysterious, supernatural being addressing a crowd of captivated townsfolk. Talking about the blood he’s consumed and his upcoming plans for the residents, Silas/Stefan will clearly be in rare form when we return to Mystic Falls. Also, it looks like Damon and Elena kiss. So there’s that. TVD Season 5 premieres October 10 on the CW.

Justin Bieber is facing a new lawsuit. But here’s the good news, Beliebers: it’s not from any new scandal! In his legal filing, Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran alleges that he was trying to snap pictures of Bieber and Selena Gomez last year in Calabasas when Justin jumped out of his Mercedes and “delivered a martial arts-type kick … in the lower rib cage on the left side of his abdomen.” From there, according to TMZ, the paparazzo says Bieber punched him in the face and pushed him against a parked vehicle. Gomez returned to the scene of the suppose crime a few moments later, grabbed her cell phone and apologized for her then-boyfriend. No word on what kind of damages Duran is seeking – but the suit actually brings up many of Justin’s past deeds, from speeding in his neighborhood to allegedly stealing the SIM card of another journalist.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will have a panel at Comic-Con next month, Lionsgate announced today in both predictable and awesome news. It’s unclear which Hunger Games stars will be in attendance, but Lionsgate promises that “talent” from the film will be there for the Saturday, July 20 panel. One can only hope (nay, pray) for Jennifer Lawrence . And Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson and Sam Claflin (above) too, sure. But for reals, Lionsgate … J-Law. Make it happen. The Lionsgate panel will also debut an exclusive new Catching Fire trailer and new footage from I, Frankenstein , whose cast will also be on hand. Buy your tickets to San Diego now!

Hobbit director Peter Jackson is nothing if not a man of the people, so when he took to San Diego’s Comic-Con earlier this month to present footage to 6,000+ lucky fans shortly after wrapping, he recorded a video diary to share with the rest of the Lord of the Rings faithful. Watch as Jackson navigates the perils of press junkets and Hall H’s screaming fans, filming on his trusty iPhone along the way! Or, y’know… skip ahead a few minutes to fantastic 10+ minutes of behind-the-scenes peeks from the set of The Hobbit . The set footage is the real treat for fans hungry for Hobbit peeks, but you’ve got to also hand it to Jackson and his videography crew for interviewing just about everybody involved in production, down to the freaking key grip. And yet, my favorite part? Mark Hadlow in costume as the Dwarf Dori, quoting Anchorman .
