Michele Bachmann said President Barack Obama can’t relate to “the common man” because of his extreme wealth, failing to note that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney is worth hundreds of millions more. “President Obama is extremely wealthy,” Bachmann said when USA Today asked how someone with “vast wealth” could connect to the American public. “He and his wife have been wealthy for a number of years, and so I think that’s really the issue. President Obama is wealthy–what does he understand about the common man right now?” According to financial disclosure reports released by the White House in May, the Obama’s hold assets worth between nearly $2.6 million and nearly $8.3 million. Man Bites Snake To Death After Being Attached Bet the snake didn’t see this one coming…. A Nepali man who was bitten by a cobra snake bit it back and killed the reptile in a tit-for-tat attack, a newspaper said on Thursday. Nepali daily Annapurna Post said Mohamed Salmo Miya chased the snake, which bit him in his rice paddy on Tuesday, caught it and bit it until it died. “I could have killed it with a stick but bit it with my teeth instead because I was angry,” the 55-year-old Miya, who lives in a village some 200 km (125 miles) southeast of the Nepali capital of Kathmandu, was quoted by the daily as saying. The snake, called “goman” in Nepal, is also known as the Common Cobra. Police official Niraj Shahi said the man, who was being treated at a village health post and was not in danger of dying, would not be charged with killing the snake because the reptile was not among snake species listed as endangered in Nepal. This past Thursday the Common Ground Foundation and Virgin Mobile hosted From the Ground Up, a benefit to help raise funds for The Night Ministry of Chicago . Held in his hometown, the day was also reason to celebrate the opening of Virgin Mobile’s first ever flagship store. The Night Ministry of Chicago works to provide housing, healthcare, and human connection to members of the community struggling with poverty or homelessness. The event included poetry, singing, and other performances with kids and young adults from The Night Ministry. Common even did a quick freestyle and gave individual critiques during his meet and greet. All ticket proceeds went to the foundation. It’s stories like this one that give us a break from shaking our heads at all the crazies out there.

One day it will all make sense… why Common hasn’t paid his mortgage. Or at least we hope so! Via TMZ reports : Mortgage payments are allegedly an uncommon practice for rapper Common … who is now in danger of having his Chicago apartment foreclosed on because he allegedly hasn’t paid his mortgage since March. According to legal docs,Common (real name Lonnie Lynn) and his manager, Derek Dudley, got a mortgage for a condo back in 2008. But Bank of America claims … beginning in March, the duo stopped making the monthly, $2,285 mortgage payments. So now BOA is getting tough, filing foreclosure docs. The Bank wants to sell the property, and recoup the amount of the mortgage, plus interest and penalties, which total $345,389 … and 52 cents. Calls to Common’s rep were not returned. Common is a successful rapper and actor, we hope this is just a case of him forgetting to pay bills and not a “nah bruh, I ain’t got it this month” type of situation. Either way, pay yo bills Common!
