Beyonce – “Hymn For The Weekend” Beyonce and good friend Chris Martin (lead singer of Coldplay) have talked up a possible collaboration for quite some time now…and fans can finally hear what they’ve come up with. Described as a “gospel-infused party jam,” the track — “Hymn for the Weekend” — is meant to Chris Martin’s desire to have a Coldplay party jam . According to Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman, Bey’s piece of the puzzle not only made the song, but was the easiest component due to how great a recording artist she is. As he told E! , “[Chris] asked Beyoncé to sing on it, and she very kindly said she would. And it was amazing. She came in. She did her thing. She’s unbelievably professional.
