My name is Marian and I’ve been a belieber since December 2009. My best friend Sofia and I met Justin Bieber on October 19, 2011 , so NEVER SAY NEVER GIRLS! It was here before the concert in Venezuela . I’m going to start from the beginning, but its not to much to say because it all happened very quick! The day before the concert, some friends and I planned to go to his hotel that he was staying at. We finished school that day and in the afternoon, I talked to my mom and begged her to drive us there. She accepted and I told my friends that we could go. An hour before we went, my aunt hat works in a company that was sponsoring the concert, told me that she got me a meet and greet! I couldn’t stop crying and shaking! Like really, I was dying! She told me that I couldn’t say anything to anyone until the next day. I cleaned my face and still made my mom drove us to the hotel. We stayed there for 2 hours but we couldn’t see anything, we saw some guys doing things from the window but we didn’t know if it was Justin or not. We didn’t got disappointed because we were excited just to be there, after everyone started going, we left. The next morning I went to school. I talked to Sofia and she told me that her uncle that works in the same company, found her a meet and greet too! We couldn’t believe it! I started to felt dizzy and have stomach pain from the excitement! I felt really sick. My mom made me sleep so the sickness could go away but that didn’t happen. I prepared myself, got everything ready and went to the concert. I got there 4 hours before! We walked down a hill and got into the line of the meet and greet. A white man told us to give to him the things that we wanted to give to Justin because we couldn’t bring anything inside with us. Then we started going inside, and saw Justin, “extremely beautiful” is the only way to describe him. I just could not believe it and still, I can’t. It was our time to take the picture. I went straight to him and told him, “I’m going to hug you because I love you”. He laughed. Sofia was next to me when we took the picture, and she had a terrible cough because of the asma! In the exact time that everyone got quiet, she coughed like a dog, it was really funny! She got to hug Justin too and then we left so the concert could start. My names Valerie and I’m 16 years old, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada . My dream has always been to meet Justin or at least see him up close because I had been to his concert here in Vegas, but it’s not the same feeling as if you see him up close or meet him. The day he went on Ellen in November to tell Whitney Elementary that he would donate money to them and perform for them , it was like an ‘omg’ moment. I wanted to go, but one problem. I’m not in Elementary school. I’m a sophomore in Highschool. I told my friend about it and she’s a huge Belieber as well, so we decided that somehow we would get to see Justin that day. I didn’t believe it, but I told myself in order to feel good. I talked to some friends who had gone to Whitney when they were younger and they said they might be able to get me in, but that didn’t work out. So my friend and I kind of started loosing hope and just starting to realize we weren’t going to see Justin at all. We forgot about it until at our local radio station they started talking about how Justin was coming and he was going to perform . They mentioned them hosting a Meet & Greet and they would be giving out tickets daily, blah blah blah. I freaked out, my friend and I called day and night. We only had a week to do this and win those tickets. Ends up we didn’t win them. It’s Thursday night and we’re devastated, so she calls me and tells me, “We’re going. We’re not giving up. I’ll get my dad to drive us tomorrow, but we have to ditch school and not get caught”. I was ready for it. The next day December 16th, 2011 I woke up thinking I could meet Justin today. I wasn’t getting my hopes up though. We went to school but towards the middle, we ditched. We got to Whitney Elementary and they had bunch of security. We tried several times to sneak into the school but we stopped once the police told us we could end up tased, lol. Anyways, we waited and waited until finally Justin arrived in these really nice sleek black cars. He got out with Alfredo and waved to us. There weren’t that many girls yet. But he ended up going in Ellen’s Swaggin’ Waggin’ that was parked outside Whitney. He got changed and while this was happening, Scooter and Kenny were outside waiting for him. We started yelling and screaming so they would come over and they did. They happily came and signed autographs, gave hugs and just talked to us . Kenny signed my jacket and Scooter took a picture with me & my friend. By this time I was already so happy. I just can’t even explain it. I hugged Kenny and told him thank you. I told Scooter thank you. When they were about to leave, we asked him if Justin would come talk to us and he smiled and said “I’ll get him to come here. He wants to anyways” I was like akdfjaljklsjfklasdf. We waited another while after this and finally Justin came out of Ellen’s bus. By now there was a lot more girls waiting for him including me. Everyone was going crazy, many were crying uncontrollably, others just screaming and jumping up and down. He came towards us and waved, he kept smiling and laughing. I couldn’t believe how close I was to him. He moved down the row of girls, and finally he got so close. I can’t describe what I was feeling. He looked at me and my friend and said Hi, he signed some autographs, and hung out for a few minutes, he tried to get to as many fans as possible. There was a lot and I’m just grateful for even being 3 ft of distance to him. By now he was in hurry cause he had to perform, so he left and said maybe he would come back, but he didn’t. My friend and I waited til the private concert was over and he came back out but didn’t get close to the fans he went back into the cars and drove away, but what I do and always will remember was him waving goodbye as he was driving out of the school. That day I went home knowing that I could die happily. My hero, inspiration, my everything had said hi to me and smiled. One smile, that’s all I asked for. My name’s Shereen, I’m 18 years old and I’m from South Florida. I’ve been a fan since the summer of 2009, and ever since then it’s been my biggest dream to meet Justin Bieber. I’ve read so many stories from other people about meeting Justin and I NEVER in a million years thought I’d be writing this. But my dreams came true on February 1, 2012 and February 5,2012. On January 30th 2012, I saw statuses on Facebook and all over Twitter that Justin was in Miami. I didn’t think too much of it because I thought it would be IMPOSSIBLE to meet him. I’ve tried so many times and always failed, so I just kind of gave up hope. The next day I went on Facebook and saw that my friend had met Justin at his recording studio and I was freaking out! I asked her how she met him and she told me she went to the studio he was recording at and he came over and met the fans waiting. I texted my friend Kari and told her, and we decided to go the next day to try and meet him. Kari picked me up from school as soon as I got we ran to my house to get a few things and then made the hour drive down to Miami. We got there at around 5:30pm and we were the only 2 people there for 2 hours and it wasn’t a good area so we just sat in Kari’s car. At around 7:30pm more people started showing up so we all went and stood by the gate. We stood there for about an hour and kept seeing tons of cars pulling up, but none were Justin. Finally at around 8:30ish we see a car pull up and Moshe was driving! We all start freaking out because we know Justin was inside there! At this point, there were only 10 girls. Justin got out of the car and we all said “Hi” to him, and he says hi back, waves and walks inside. I was kind of dissapointed because I thought he wasn’t going to come back out until later, and I had to leave at 11. But then about 2 minutes later Justin, Alfredo, and Moshe are walking out of the studio and over to us. He said “Hello” to all of us and asked us how we were doing as he touched our hands, then he got to me and GRABBED MY HAND and said “It’s nice to meet you.” I don’t even remember what I said back. After he said hello to all of us, he had his hands in his pockets and was looking down at the floor asking us how we knew he would be at the studio. He was being so shy and it was so cute. He told us we were gonna take a group picture and Justin, Alfredo, and Moshe took our cameras. Justin stood right in front of me for the picture so I had to stand up on the fence to make sure I was in the picture. After that he turned around and talked to us a little more and then the gate was opening and he was about to get hit so Kari said, “Watch out Justin!” and he backed up and then ran and hid behind a car, by the time the gate opened again he was walking in to the studio. Alfredo came back over to us and returned our cameras. We took pictures with him and talked to him for a while. More and more girls started showing up after that and later we got to watch Justin skateboard . Soon, the cops showed up so Kari and I decided to go home. The next day our picture was all over the news, tumblr, and twitter. Then JUSTIN BIEBER TWEETED THE PICTURE AND CALLED US FAMILY . I was freaking out! Justin had called me family and actually seen the picture of us together! Everyone at school was asking me how I met Justin it was crazy! Then, on Saturday February 4th, 2012 we decided to go back down to Miami to look for Justin so our friend Ashley could meet him. We got down to the studio at around 3 pm, but the studio was closed so we decided to go down to the hotel we heard he was staying at. We went there until 6:30 but had no luck finding him. At around 7 we got back to the studio and there was about 6 girls there. We left at 8 because Ashley had to be back home at 9. After we dropped her off we made our way back to the studio. We got back to the studio at around 9:30 and there was at least 200 girls there now. We saw a black escalade inside the gates and knew it was Justin. We had to crawl through a bush in able to get near the gate. We saw Justin sitting in the car and Alfredo sleeping in the back, then Justin crawled in to the studio. At around 12:30 am on February 5th, we saw them pull Justin’s car up right next to the front door. They had the door of the studio open and the door to the car open, and we were all afraid he was gonna dip. My friend and I saw him get into the car, I’m not one to shriek and I don’t know why but I just scremed “Justin!” Then all the girls started screaming and then Justin got out of the car and started walking over to the side of the gate I was at. He pulled out a sharpie and began signing things. He came over to me and my friend, and signed my CD, and her Miami Dolphins jersey that says “BIEBER” on the back with the number 6. We weren’t able to get a picture with him, but we are so thankful to be able to meet him again. I hope this shows all of you out there who haven’t met him yet that your day will come! Before ‘Part Of Me’ is released, MTV News takes a look back at recent concert flicks from fellow pop stars like Justin Bieber. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry Photo: Getty Images This summer, Katy Perry will be taking fans on a candy-coated, 3-D adventure when she drops her first-ever 3-D concert flick , “Part Of Me.” After rumors hit the Web earlier this year that the pop singer was in talks to bring her brand of cotton-candy eye candy to a theater near you, on Wednesday, MTV News confirmed that the flick, named after her current Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection single, will be the latest spectacle to hit the cineplex. Over the last few years, it has become quite popular for pop stars to film their concerts and bring them to theaters in 3-D. Perry now joins the ranks of “Glee,” Miley Cyrus (and her alter-ego Hannah Montana), the Jonas Brothers, Michael Jackson, and, of course, Justin Bieber. So, in the end, did those movies live up to the hype? Glee: The 3D Concert Movie Released in August 2011, the “Glee” concert movie opened to lots of promotion and hype. Given all the buzz and fandom around the TV show, it seemed poised for big-screen success. However, after a disappointing first week at the box office, which grossed just $5.7 million and landed it 11th place that week. In the end, the flick earned just under $12 million domestically. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Justin Bieber hit box-office gold with his part biopic/ part concert flick. The Jon Chu-directed film serves as the gold standard of 3-D concert film releases busting records and raking in tons of dough. Opening over Valentine’s Day weekend in 2011, in its opening day it made $12.4 million and nabbed $29.5 million in its opening weekend. Currently it holds several U.S. records by the end of its theater run, including being the highest-grossing concert movie since 1984 and the third-highest-grossing documentary since 1982. It probably didn’t hurt that weeks after the first release, Paramount also dropped “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never – Director’s Fan Cut” to give fans even more Bieber for their pleasure. Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert The film, released at the height of Hannah Montana fandom, grossed a whopping $31.1 million in its one-week, limited-engagement run in February 2008. With a budget of $7 million, it eventually went on to gross $70 million worldwide. As if that wasn’t enough success surrounding it, months later, when it premiered on Disney in July, it averaged 5.9 million viewers, and another viewing later that month averaged 20.6 million viewers. Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience In early 2009, the Jonas Brothers went on the road , flying around the country to special screenings of their 3-D flick to get fans hyped for the release. Filmed during their 2008 tour, it also featured cameos from their superstar pals Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato, as well as eye-catching renditions of their biggest hits. However, in the end, while it didn’t do terribly (it made $19.1 million domestically), it also didn’t live up to expectations. Michael Jackson: This Is It Released posthumously in 2009, “This Is It” documents the rehearsals that went into what would have been Jackson’s great return to the stage. Directed by Kenny Ortega, it was released in October 2009 and gave Jackson’s fans a final glimpse at the star, just days before he passed away in June 2009. My name is  Emily , I’m 16 and I live in Tennessee. I went to Justin’s concert on  August 11, 2010 ,  and to this day, I remember exactly what happened on that incredible evening. We arrived at Bridgestone around noon, waiting to get into soundcheck. I was so nervous. I didn’t eat all day, and my stomach was turning like crazy. I couldn’t get the fact that I was about to see Justin up close out of my head. I had recently been experimenting with some terrible things, like avoiding eating and causing harm to myself, and I knew that this concert would somehow give me hope. Boy, was I right. After a long time of waiting and waiting, we finally sat down for soundcheck. When I saw Justin, my heart leapt out of my chest. He did his dougie routine, and began to answer questions. Everyone raised their hands as my friend  Raven  and I tried to decide what we may ask. That’s when I realized I had my hand up, and Justin chose  me.   I looked behind me, face red, confused, and he said, “Yes, you sweetheart.” My voice was shaking, and I asked, “Uhh… What’s the worst date you’ve been on?” He looked confused, and replied, “What’s the worst state I’ve been in?” The crowd laughed, and some said, “No! Worst date!” to which Ryan replied, “OH! I thought she had it out for one of the 50.” Justin giggled, and said “I haven’t really had a bad date.” Someone in the crowd said, “What about Kim Kardashian?” and Justin shot back, “No, no, no. Kim is perfect.” To have even spoken to Justin made my year, it probably made my life just knowing I had talked to my role model. Raven and I had 2nd row seats. During the concert, Justin went up in his metal heart and sang ”Never Let You Go” (my favorite song). This was my favorite part of the concert because when he sang, it honestly sounded like an angel was singing. He took his ear piece out and listened to the crowd, making everyone scream louder. He was so enthralled with how incredibly loud we were that he took time to listen to us. I felt a tear come to my eyes as I watched this all unfold in front of me like a dream.  The best feeling in the world is knowing that he truly does love us. He loves everything we do for him, and we love everything he does for us. That’s how it’s supposed to go. All we want is his happiness, and all he wants is ours. I love you Justin! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. You’ve gotten me through these tough times, so thank you very much for producing the music that you do . On his 18th birthday, we take a look at the superstar’s upcoming acting gigs. By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Justin Bieber Photo: Valery Hache/ AFP/ Getty Images By this point, it’s no secret that Justin Bieber has his sights set on the silver screen. Ever since his meteoric rise to stardom and his success with the concert film “Never Say Never,” talk has circulated about his first dramatic film projects. Now, on his 18th birthday, let’s take a closer look at Bieber’s big-screen potential! We got an early look at his acting chops on an episode of “CSI,” in which he played troubled teen Jason McCann and was famously blown away in a hail of gunfire. The cameo indicated his purported desire to take on darker roles, along the lines of those played by Mark Wahlberg. The most concrete movie project on the horizon for Bieber actually involves Wahlberg . The two have been developing a basketball movie, in the vein of “The Color of Money.” Wahlberg will play a weathered baller who takes a younger player (Bieber) under his wing. MTV News spoke with Wahlberg about the project , and he said his interest in working with the pop star comes from his intuition about Bieber’s acting ability. “I see the guy and spent time with him, and you see what he does and how he does it,” Wahlberg said. “Then you actually have a conversation with him, and it’s there.” The basketball project is currently in development at Paramount. Another Wahlberg-related project with Bieber’s name attached is a rumored remake of the 1996 film “Fear.” MovieWeb reported back in January that Bieber is supposedly “obsessed” with the movie and hopes to land the psychotic role to mirror Wahlberg’s career path. There hasn’t been an update on the remake’s progress since. Happy 18th birthday, Justin Bieber !
