Tyson Gay Loses Teenage Daughter to Gun Violence

Veteran Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay has lost his 15-year old daughter. According to various news source, Trinity Gay was shot and killed early this morning in Kentucky. Police have confirmed that Trinity was shot in the neck during a shootout between two cars in a Lexington restaurant parking lot around 4 a.m.  Authorities say that the young woman was not in either car when the shooting took place; but she was hit nonetheless and then taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead within an hour. Gay caught a flight to Kentucky as quickly as he could, telling a local news station in the process: “She didn’t make it. She was just here last week for fall break … I have no idea what happened.” Police have not made any arrests. They are reportedly seeking two persons of interest. Trinity Gay was a sprinter at Lafayette High in Lexington, finishing fourth in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200 meters at the state Class 3A high school track meet in May. She also ran on a 4×200 relay team that finished in fourth place. Tyson Gay also ran at Lafayette and still holds the state record in the 100 meters. Kentucky High School Athletic Association commissioner Julian Tackett Tweeted in response to this tragedy that he was stunned by the death of Trinity. “Shocked to hear of death of Trinity Gay. A life of such potential cut so tragically short. Sympathies to Tyson and entire family,” he wrote. Tyson Gay has competed in the past three Summer Olympics. He was part of a unit that won a silver medal in the 4×100-meter relay at the 2012 London Games, although that medal was ultimately stripped after Gay tested positive for steroids in 2013. Gay’s 100 meters personal best of 9.69 seconds is the American record in that event and it makes him tied for second fastest athlete ever in the 100 meters, after Usain Bolt. The athlete’s 200 meters time of 19.58 makes him the sixth fastest athlete in that race. We cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now and we send his family our condolences.

Anton Yelchin: Parents to Sue Automaker Over Actor’s Death

On the morning of June 19,  Anton Yelchin was found dead outside his home in Studio City, California. The 27-year-old – best known for his work in the blockbuster Star Trek reboot – was killed in what’s been described as a “freak accident.” The actor’s 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled backwards in his driveway and pinned the actor against a security gate. Yelchin’s autopsy indicated that he died almost instantly.  Just days after the tragedy, a class action suit was filed against Fiat Chrysler claiming that the Cherokee had a faulty gear shift that made drivers think the car is in park when it’s actually in neutral. Now, Yelchin’s parents have filed their own lawsuit against carmaker under the belief that the company’s failure to recall the vehicle directly resulted in their son’s death. View Slideshow: Anton Yelchin: A Career in Pictures According to TMZ, the Yelchins are also suing the AutoNation car retail chain , which is presumably where Anton purchased the car. An attorney for the couple would not specify the amount the Yelchins are seeking in damages, but did confirm that they’re suing “for the wrongful death of their son due to significant defects.” Considering the high-profile nature of the case and the fact that the manufacturing defect in the Cherokee has been well-documented, the company will likely seek to settle out of court. In addition to his work as Chekov in the three most recent  Star Trek films (including the one that’s currently in theaters), Yelchin had built up an impressive and greatly varied body of work for someone so young. As at home in indie films as he was in big-budget studio tentpoles, Yelchin gained the attention of critics in such beloved films as Alpha Dog , Charlie Bartlett and Green Room . Celebrities from all forms of media expressed their condolences on social media in the days following his passing. Yelchin’s friend and former co-star Justin Timberlake described him as a “genius actor, amazing human being.” View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Passed Away in 2016: Gone, But Not Forgotten

Kylie Jenner: PREGNANT With Tyga’s Baby?!?

Did Kylie Jenner just announce her pregnancy to the world?!  We’re praying the answer is no, but she just posted a disturbing video to Snapchat that may be suggesting just that. Last night, Kylie was documenting her every move, as she does, on the way to The Nice Guy club in Los Angeles. She was taking video selfies and admiring herself singing with her friends in the back seat of a car as they were mugging to the camera. You know, standard Kylie stuff. But when she arrived at the club, she – and her camera phone – spotted her bae Tyga and snapped a video with an alarming caption. Yep, that says “Baby daddy.” God, no. While Tyga is the father of Blac Chyna’s child, we have doubts that the 18-year-old would refer to her boyfriend as someone else’s baby daddy in her snap. Could she mean future baby daddy? Possibly, but Kylie’s a celebrity and a social media maven, and she knows posting a caption like that is going to send tongues a-wagging. For the last couple years, fans have been concerned that Kylie’s been growing up too fast and essentially trying to become her older sister Kim Kardashian, but this is too much. Back in December, there were reports that Kylie was jealous of the attention Kim was getting after giving birth to baby Saint.  Getting preggers at age 18 by a 26-year-old D-list rapper, possible pedo and confirmed douchebag is definitely a way to grab attention, but not in a good way. George Harvey Dies; Howard Stern Show Wack Packer Was 56

George Harvey, a regular guest on The Howard Stern Show for six years who was better known to listeners as Crackhead Bob, was found dead inside his Texas home on Sunday. He was 56. According to the farewell message on Stern’s website, Crackhead Bob was always first to arrive at every signing. “He was a huge champion of our show,” the radio host said on his program yesterday, mourning the loss of Harvey. According to TMZ, the cause of death is unclear at this time. Harvey’s death, meanwhile, comes after the passing of three fellow Wack Pack members in the recent past. Stern favorites  Eric the Actor , Riley Martin and Johnny Fratto  all passed away within the last year and a half. We send our condolences to Harvey’s family, friends and loved ones.
