The Black Twitter Wikipedia page, which was posted on Wednesday, defines it as a “cultural identity in the Twitter social network focused on issues of interest to the black community, particularly in the United States.” It goes on to chronicle African-Americans’ over-indexing use of the social network, and the distinctly different ways the community interacts on the site, as well as the entity’s influence on social change. Of course, once Black Twitter heard the news, Black Twitter did what Black Twitter does best– erupt into full-blown commentary. Double the bundle …double the fun. Kim Zolciak Expecting Twins According to US Magazine Set two extra places at the table, because Kim Zolciak is having twins! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star will be having not one, but two bundles of joy with her fifth pregnancy, a source confirms to Us Weekly (E! was the first to break the news). “Kim is having a lot of anxiety about her pregnancy, she’s completely changed her ways,” the source tells Us. “She’s reached out to some nutritionists and other specialists about staying healthy as of recent.” Earlier this year, the reality star — who is already mother to sons KJ, 2, and Kash, 12 months, with husband Kroy Biermann, as well as daughters Brielle, 16, and Ariana, 12, from a previous relationship — shared a photo of her very pregnant belly in sweats, captioning the snap, “You asked for it … here is my baby bump this morning!” Zolciak confirmed the pregnancy during a June 25 episode of her Bravo spinoff series Don’t Be Tardy after Us Weekly first broke the news earlier that month. “Pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant,” she read off the results from several at-home pregnancy tests to her footballer husband, 27. “Kroy, we have not one negative test.” Her pregnancy comes just nine months after the birth of Kash, who was born just 14 months after big brother KJ. “How exciting is that, love muffin?” she exclaimed as she hugged the Atlanta Falcons player. “You did it again, lovey … Are you excited, love muffin? It must be the athlete sperm.” Zolciak, 35, “loves being pregnant,” another source told Us in June. “She really wants a little girl.” Kim will be poppin’out Kroy’s seeds until she is 60. I had no idea,” the reality star says. “It was a natural conception but twins do run in the family so I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. “I can’t believe I am going to be a mom to six children. It’s going to be very busy but it’s a dream come true.” Zolciak is already mother to sons Kroy Jr., 2, and Kash, 1, and daughters Brielle, 16, and Ariana, 12, whom Biermann recently adopted. Christina Milian Flaunts Ring On Her Ring Finger YMCMB songstress Christina Milian seems to have much to celebrate these days. Between her steady gig on “The Voice,” her new record label home and her daughter Violet among other things, CMili is in a pretty good place. She recently stopped by Rolling Out magazine to chat it up about all of the above and more. Check out a few interview excerpts below: via Rolling Out On finding out she was pregnant with daughter Violet: “I wasn’t scared. I was excited when I found out I was pregnant. Of course, when you find out that first time, you’re like ‘Oh my God! My life is changing. From here on out my life has changed.’ And then you realize that miracle that is inside of you and what’s happening. Even the ups and downs outside my pregnancy, I enjoyed each and every moment of my pregnancy. And the second that I had her, I knew that it was meant to be. Like I never questioned God and I knew that everything was happening for a reason. Now if you had asked me before I was pregnant and before I was married to The-Dream, I thought that I would never have a baby at this time in my life. But everything fell into place,” she says. On her relationship with her daughter: “I’m just thinking about her all the time,” says Milian. “I’m thinking about her even though I have to work all the time. … And I’m very fortunate that I work in an industry where family is more accepted now and I have a family that supports me. Sometimes I need her. When I’m tired and I see her, then I’m awake again. And I act like a kid with her. She is like a ball of fire, a spark of light that when the moment I see her, she lets me know how much she loves me,” says the proud mom. On being a part of YMCMB: “I have a good team around me. With this album I have Young Money and this is great because they are the first team of people that understood that I needed a family, that I don’t feel like I’m out here on my own. There’s a difference with being with a label and being out on your own, like, ‘hey, I run this and no one else is with me.’ Let’s be real; there’s nothing better than having a family to back you up. A lil’ positivity… Hospital Changes Decision About Denying Treatment To Dying Teen Over Legal Troubles Earlier this week, we reported on the case of a 15-year-old Georgia boy who was given six months to live but being denied a heart transplant by hospital administrators partly because of his past run-ins with the law. Well, it seems the powers that be have had a change of heart. via Think Progress Anthony Stokes, the 15-year-old Georgia resident who was initially denied a place on a heart transplant list because of his history of “non-compliance,” is getting a second chance. His family says that his doctors have changed their minds, and Anthony was placed on a transplant list at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on Tuesday. Anthony has an enlarged heart, and likely only has six months to live unless he receives a transplant. But at the beginning of this week, the doctors at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta informed his family that he wasn’t eligible for the transplant list, partly because of his history of low grades and trouble with the law. Doctors weren’t convinced that Anthony could be trusted to follow directions and manage his follow-up care. “I know he will comply with all the rules,” Melencia Hamilton, Anthony’s mother, told ABC News in an emotional interview before the family learned the good news. “He will take his medicine because he knows that is how he has to live.” On Tuesday, hospital officials reversed course. They did not explain why they had changed their minds, but they indicated that Anthony would be one of the first in line for a heart transplant because his condition is so serious. “We met with hospital officials about 30 minutes ago,” family spokesman Mark Bell told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday afternoon. “After reviewing the situation, they said Anthony would be placed on the list for a heart transplant and that he would be first in line, due to his weakened heart condition.” Despite the blatantly shady reasoning behind the transplant denial in the first place, we’re glad that this young man will get another chance at life. Man Wins $86 Million Powerball Jackpot According to Mail Online A Minnesota man came forward Thursday to claim his share of a $448 million Powerball jackpot, one of the largest in history. Paul White, father of two from Ham Lake, strode into a Minneapolis press conference in along with beaming girlfriend Kim VanRees to receive a giant replica check made out for $149 million, the pre-tax amount he’ll split with two other still unnamed winners. ‘It’s crazy,’ said the 45-year-old. ‘I’ve gone through this in my mind so many times. You almost feel like it’s coming true.’ The project engineer opted for a lump sum and will therefor take home $86 million after taxes. The divorced dad made no mention of his ex-wife, nor has the mother of his son and daughter come forward with her own feelings about her ex’s win. While White’s new partner VanRees appeared overjoyed, his boss Ron Bowen was also on hand and White joked he ‘is going to end the day as my chauffeur.’ White told reporters he intends to pursue charitable endeavors, help out his parents, and buy his son the car of his dreams. As surprised as he was with the huge news he is a newly crowned millionaire, White said he always had a hunch he’d be a winner one day. The father of two teens said he played the lottery around once a month or when the the jackpot was especially big, though he said he was always ‘more of a scratch-off guy.’ He also said he nearly forgot to get tickets this week. Lucky for him, he remembered and bought $10 worth. White said he checked the 10 tickets he bought and realized he had nailed all six numbers on one of them. The ensuing hours, he said, had been a blur. ‘It’s just surreal at this point. I don’t think you guys can understand — it’s crazy. No worries anymore. It’s crazy,’ he said.
