So that “Western” movie role Amber Rose has been talking about turns out to be the sequel to “Gang of Roses” — the 2003 Jean-Claude La Marre “classic” that starred Lisa Raye, Stacey Dash, Marie Matiko, Charity Hill, Bobby Brown and Lil Kim. So you know the acting in that one set the bar soooo high for Amby Cakes. Amber tweeted the above photo along with a lil info about the film: At least we know Vivica Fox is no snob. SMH. So it looks like Amby’s “Roses” role is Tara X — a bounty hunter. Sources tell BOSSIP that Amber will have to learn how to ride a horse, shoot various firearms and perform other stunts required by actors in Western films. She’s filming the last two weeks of August, however there is currently no scheduled release date for the project. If you had to choose between watching Amber Rose onscreen and watching Lisa Raye — which one would you pick? What about Amber vs. Stacey Dash? VS. Lil Kim? How about some visuals to help with your decision? Keep clicking for some great shots from the original “Gang of Roses” and don’t forget to comment and let us know Who Owns It!
That group of floozies Shaunie doesn’t want to claim has already lost one of the few legitimate wives on the cast. The majority of season one of Basketball Wives: L.A. will find Tanya Young Williams mostly dealing with her divorce from Super Fail aka Jayson Williams. But she still feels like she might be the best example of a “Basketball Wife” on the show. Jayson Williams’ estranged wife, Tanya, has joined the cast of VH1′s “Basketball Wives: LA” and says she’s so far shot three episodes while navigating divorce proceedings. “I signed on to participate in the show to elevate the negative perception . . . that [it] is purposely filled with flighty, overly emotional and sense lessly dramatic women,” she told us via e-mail. “Yes, my life is chaotic, dramatic and surreal, but I am also a businesswoman.” Former Nets star Williams is behind bars for assault in the death of a limo driver and is up for parole next month when the show premieres. Yeah, all that “I’m going to elevate the perception” yang really probably means this broad and her fighting-one-time-over-golf-carts shenanigans are gonna make her the Tami Roman of the L.A. cast. Remember we said that. Source
Chris Bosh was spotted yesterday spending some quality time with his daughter Trinity. Isn’t she precious? It’s a big deal that Trinity’s mom let him have her this weekend since he’s actually getting married Saturday! Trinity’s mom Allison Mathis has given Chris hell in the past, even going so far as to call him a deadbeat dad . He even had to take her to court in attempt to be allowed a visit during the NBA Finals. Forest Whitaker was also spotted spending the weekend with his daughters. The Whitaker family was in Italy for Ischia’s Global Fest. More pictures of the Whitaker family and Chrissy and Trinity below: SplashNews/WorldRedEye
Jamie Foxx’s little girl Corinne is growing up! And lots of folks are taking notice — including American Cheerleader magazine who did a photo shoot with 17-year-old Corinne a few weeks ago. She was joined on set by actress Debbie Ryan and TSC CEO Dave Kirschner. Corinne tweeted a few of the shots so we figured we’d share them with you. Check them out!
We wonder if Chrissy’s wife knows that she is in a same-sex marriage? Miami Heat star Chris Bosh and his fiancée, Adrienne Williams, will take a romantic honeymoon in Europe, hitting St. Tropez and various glam locations in Italy after their wedding later this week. The couple, who will wed in Miami, will jet-set on a lavish Mediterranean tour. Sources tell us their close friend, designer Domenico Vacca, has agreed to show them the sights on part of the trip. One source tells us the honeymoon includes “chic parties in St. Tropez, romantic dinners in Capri, sunbathing in Positano, sightseeing in Rome and Naples and yachting in Sardinia and Capri.” The big wedding bash is expected to be attended by a host of stars including Bosh’s Miami teammates and team staff, who have all been given permission to attend. But a rep for Bosh said, “Nothing has been decided as yet.” “Given permission”?? Damn, that doesn’t seem like team camaraderie to us, what ever happened to inviting your boys? Sounds like they asked if it was ok to attend and Chrissy said “I’ll think about it”…SMH Source
Kate Hudson and her British K-Fraud welcomed their first little joint bundle of joy into the world last night. The little guy joins big brother Ryder, Hudson’s 7-year-old son with ex-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes. Us Weekly was first to break news of Hudson’s second pregnancy in January 2011. She and the Muse frontman Bellamy, 33, debuted their romance in late spring 2010; they reportedly met years ago in Australia “He’s lovely,” Hudson (whose mom is actress Goldie Hawn) told Elle UK back in September. After confirming her pregnancy in late January, she admitted that life was a little more chaotic with another baby on board. “I babble a lot. I forget words. And how to put sentences together,” Hudson laughs. “I just give up.” “This is a totally different pregnancy, completely,” Hudson said in April. “It couldn’t be more opposite…With Ryder, I didn’t even have a nursery. I didn’t really have a house until I was seven months pregnant.” Congrats to the happy couple and their families. Source
If you thought you had no life left to live when ABC announced it was cancelling its two oldest shows , we’ve got some good news for you. The network has found a way to get around its willingness to sacrifice fan satisfaction for money by finding someone else who is willing to spend that dough to keep these fan favorites alive. ABC announced Thursday that it had sold online rights to the two soaps to a Hollywood production company that wants to keep them going as Web series. ABC announced in April that it was driving a stake into “Children” and “One Life” to launch two new “The View”-esque daytime shows. One is about all things food, stars a bunch of foodies and is called “The Chew.” The other is about people trying to lose weight and stars the inimitable fashion guru Tim Gunn, among others; it’s called “The Revolution.” ABC will carry on with its plans to broadcast its final episode of “All My Children” on Sept. 23 and will air the final episode of “One Life to Live” next January. After that, the decades-old soaps will use the same cast, crew and talent in making the move to the Web. “ ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ are iconic pieces of television history that captivated millions of fans since their beginning over 40 years ago,” Brian Frons, president of daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group, said in Thursday’s announcement. “Each of the shows have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history and informed our consciousness in their own way. We are so glad [production company] Prospect Park has assumed the mantle for these shows and that they will continue for the fans.” The audience still commanded by those two soaps might be too small for ABC’s ambitions these days but would go a long way to help launch a new, it’s-TV-only-on-the-Web venture. That includes those rabid fans who have been e-mailing, letter-writing and phone-calling to ABC suits, Disney suits and The Reporters Who Cover Television in an effort to save their soaps. Agnes Nixon, the creator of both soaps, said in a statement Thursday that she is “so happy for our loyal fans, whom we love so much, and who have been so supportive over the last 40 plus years.” “One Life to Live” was born in 1968 and “All My Children” in 1970. On second thought, we’re not sure how great of an idea this is… View This Poll online surveys
