Hollie Cavanagh may have been eliminated from American Idol last night , but a great deal of buzz surrounding the show afterward centered on Jennifer Lopez and, specifically, her very sexy rendition of “Dance Again.” Alongside boyfriend Casper Smart . “I don’t think we’d work together if we didn’t work well together,” Lopez told Ryan Seacrest this morning about grinding all up on her 25-year old man in front of millions. “It has to be easy or it’s not worth it.” Lopez her certainly made her two years on American Idol worthwhile, using them to kickstart what had been a floundering music career. Producers of VH1’s Basketball Wives are thinking about filing a lawsuit against cast member Jennifer Williams for publicly trashing the reality show. After Jennifer Williams sued Nia Crooks for slapping her in the face while taping an episode (below), VH1 reportedly became absolutely livid with her. Now producers are ready rebut Williams’ legal and media rampage, during which she said the show portrays African-American women negatively. Basketball Wives FIGHT: Jennifer Williams Slapped! Producers feel Williams’ lawsuit is frivolous – her contract says she waives such a right to sue based on physical confrontations, the network says. Moreover, her explicit show-bashing is in violation of her contract , which forbids cast members from doing media appearances or press without approval. Or speaking negatively about the show, which the nut job clearly has. VH1 feels J-Dubs is “ruining the brand” they worked so hard to build, which is hilarious, but actually not a legal stretch if she’s in breach of contract. Crooks, for her part, was charged with battery for the slap. Really.

The pregnant Jessica Simpson has just signed a deal worth $3 million to be a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers, according to a report from the New York Post . Her weight has been scrutinized in recent years (see fat Jessica Simpson pictures ), but now that she’s eating for two, she’s turning a negative into a positive. She reportedly fielded several offers from a number of celebrities weight loss companies before settling with the Double-Dubs for a staggering sum of money. A source told the Post , confirming earlier reports, “The deal is in place, and after having her baby, she’ll start with Weight Watchers to lose her baby weight.” Rumors about the contract began last month, with reports saying that the company wanted to help her get back to her famous Dukes of Hazzard physique. The brand wants her to use their famous points system to emulate another celebrity spokeswoman, Jennifer Hudson, to “lose a significant amount of weight.” Simpson plans to wed her fiance Eric Johnson after having the baby, which could be another motivation for the former singer and actress to drop weight. In an interesting piece of TV news, The Bachelor is suing Stephen Carbone, a.k.a. Reality Steve, claiming $75,000 in damages, according to reports . NZK Productions and Alternative Television, Inc. take issue with his tactics of “soliciting information from participants, cast, crew and/or other employees” by “inducing them to breach their confidentiality obligations.” Steve has been posting lots of The Bachelor , Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad spoilers for years, and surprisingly detailed, mostly accurate ones at that. The wild ending of Jason Mesnick’s season of The Bachelor, when he dumped winner Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney after the show aired, was Steve’s first big scoop . It’s unclear who the mole is – Steve is just some dude from Texas who posts this stuff in long-winded rants on his personal site – but producers claim he’s liable for damages because those who participate sign confidentiality agreements. Several of his tactics are highlighted, like this one email: “Let me just say, I’m very well aware of your contract,” Carbone allegedly wrote an unnamed source. “I also know that over 500 contestants have been on this show and not one of them has ever been sued for the $5 million.” “It’s just a scare tactic. Trust me. Just like they had no idea you sent me that last email, they’ll have no idea about any correspondence either.” “I know you’re scared and a little paranoid, but don’t be. Unless they are hacking your email or tapping your phone, there’s absolutely no way for them to find out.” The suit also highlighted this email to a former contestant: “I’m aware you were eliminated at the SF rose ceremony, so I probably actually know more about what’s happened since you left than you do, however … I do have some blanks that need to be filled in during the early episodes.” “I’m aware of your contract, but no one would know of our conversing.” The producers claim to have sent cease-and-desist letters to Carbone earlier this year. Now they’re arguing his actions “constitute unfair and illegal business acts” and are “unscrupulous, immoral, unethical, oppressive and injurious.” Carbone did not respond to an email from EW . Kieffer Delp, the oft-troubled ex of Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans, is often cited as the root of the North Carolina native’s emotional and legal problems. He was also cited for ganking some steaks from a grocery store. Delp got busted “concealment of goods” for allegedly trying to steal steaks from the Food Lion supermarket in Oak Island, N.C., in late July. Classy. Seems like everybody’s got beef with Kieffer Delp. A source close to the MTV star says Jenelle Evans ‘ friends and family worry about her mental state whenever she’s around this shady character. “Kieffer is a bad influence on Jenelle,” the source says . “She didn’t get in any trouble before she met him.
