When criticizing reality stars, viewers often fall back on the “get a real job” argument. This is understandable, as some of the folks who have become obscenely wealthy from living their lives in front of a camera crew appear to do very little in the way of actual work. Amber Portwood, for example, pulls in a mid-six-figure income despite a lifestyle so indolent that she's adopted the sloth as her “spirit animal.” But not every star in the Teen Mom universe has adopted such a disdainful attitude toward work. Take Briana DeJesus, for example. Briana says she has a real job — and she also claims that putting in long hours week after week is really starting to pay off. Here's the latest on DeJesus' financial situation — and why her latest comments have left some fans confused: 1. Every Day She’s Hustlin’ Briana is the newest addition to the Teen Mom 2 family, which means she hasn’t been raking in MTV paychecks for her entire adult life like the rest of the ladies. 2. Started From the Bottom Sure, Briana got her start on Teen Mom 3, but the show only lasted for one season, which means there were several years in which she was a single mom without a reality show gig to pay the bills. 3. Cue the Dolly Parton Song Which means that, like most Americans, Briana had no choice but to start workin’ 9 to 5. 4. What a Way to Make a Living “I hate when people tell me to get a real job. Southern Charm is now displaying one of the downsides to Austen Kroll's on-again, off-again relationship with Madison LeCroy . It seems that she and Shep don't get along — so much so that Madison claimed that Shep was giving out STIs like candy. But Danni, whom Madison had included in her STI story, says that there's simply no truth to the rumor. Hmmm … “You thought you and Austen were going to fall back into each other's arms and run off into the sunset?” Shep asked incredulously. “Wouldn't that have been nice?” Madison replied. “No,” Shep answered bluntly. “It would have been foolish, I think, for both of you.” “I think it's sad that your opinion weighs so heavily on our relationship,” Madison countered. “Because, to me, it doesn't matter.” Shep and Craig then lament how Austen doesn't seem to speak to them. Madison explains that it's because neither of them seem to actually care about his feelings or desires. “What do you think you know about me? … I've got nothing to hide,” Shep asked and then claimed to Madison. Here, he is clearly trying to goad her into saying something messy. “You sure about that?” Madison asked in warning. “I heard that you gave her chlamydia.” As she said that, she gestured to Danni Baird. Craig burst into a fit of giggles while Danni looked absolutely stunned. Speaking to Bravo's The Daily Dish , Danni reflected upon being an innocent victim of a very unkind rumor. “What Madison said was very hurtful and untrue,” Danni affirms. “And I feel as though it was clearly calculated,” she adds. “Both directed at Shep and to me.” “I don’t think that Austen is innocent in the matter,” Danni admits. She explains: “They had both, unbeknownst to me, had been harboring some underlying resentment toward me particularly.” Danni speculates that it has something to do with revealing that Madison had been in Gentry Todd's DMs while still dating Austen. “I think [Madison] had harbored that,” she says. “And I had no idea.” “I mean,” Danni adds. “I had actually done everything I could possibly do to kind of protect her in that situation as it was unraveling.” She wanted to keep things calm “and not have it escalate into something bigger,” “But,” Danni admits. “I also had no idea that I had literally given Craig Conover ammunition.” “I didn’t know their relationship backstory,” she confesses. “And quite honestly, I couldn’t have cared less.” “Shep and I dated almost a decade ago,” Danni notes. “And we, or at least I, did not even know Madison and Austen back then.” “So what she said is completely untrue and unfair,” she emphasizes. “It was hurtful.” “She was trying to target Shep,” Danni acknowledges. “But I know good and well she threw me in there for a reason, subconsciously or not.” Nothing like a little armchair psychology when you're breaking down some reality TV drama, right? “And it’s just been really hard for me to comprehend how you can do that to somebody else,” Danni concludes. “It’s not my nature.”

In the year or so since Paris Jackson began dating Gabriel Glenn , the 21-year-old model has experienced more ups and downs than some folks see in a lifetime. Much of the tumult had to do with the release of the Michaek Jackson documentary Leaving Neverland, which contained shocking new evidence linked to the pop legend’s alleged sex crimes. On social media, Paris defended her father and dismissed the charges against him in a fashion that many found callous or inappropriate. Insiders worried that Paris was headed for an overdose, a meltdown, or some other personal tragedy. Things seem to have stabilized for Jackson these days, and Glenn — who stood by her side throughout — seems to have had a stabilizing influence. Often, tough times test our bonds and bring us closer to those we love. Which might be part of the reason so many are convinced that Paris and Glenn secretly got married sometime in the past few weeks. Another good reason, of course, is the fact the pair appeared to be sporting matching wedding rings at a recent red carpet event. Earlier this week, Paris and Glenn attended the premiere of an acclaimed bnew film entitled The Peanut Butter Falcon. But not surprisingly, their finger bling has been overshadowing the movie in today’s press coverage. Thus far, however, the media’s best efforts to uncover the truth have been in vain. Insiders say Paris won’t even answer her family’s questions with regard to whether or not she and Glenn are hitched. “The family is freaking out,” an insider tells Radar Online. “She is not answering any of them. No one knows what to think; Paris is a loose cannon.” Meanwhile, Jackson is still gushing about Glenn on social media — as she has been for much of the past year. “Appreciation post for the light of my life, my symphony of a soul, my darling sunflower … we’re playing footsie in bed right now,” she wrote today. “You really shouldn’t have, I don’t deserve this post or you but I’m glad you’re mine just the same,” Glenn replied. “Wouldn’t trade you or our fur family for anything in the world. We can practically guarantee this will never be the case ever again, but in this one instance … we couldn’t have said it better than Donald Trump. “A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden,” the president tweeted moments ago. “It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!” Yes, the celebratory puns are flowing like Trump Vineyards Champagne today, as fans all over the world celebrate the release of rapper A$AP Rocky from a Swedish prison. As you’ve likely heard by now, A$AP was arrested on assault charges , and he’s spent the past month in jail awaiting trial. According to TMZ, Rocky appeared in court today and was set free following testimony from two witnesses who say he did not strike the alleged victim with a champagne bottle, as the plaintiff had claimed. Today’s court date was only a preliminary hearing, and Rocky is still scheduled to stand trial on August 14. But considering he was released from jail and granted permission to leave the country, it’s been widely assumed that he’ll be found not guilty in absentia. After all, extraditing him would be a nightmare, given the fact that Rocky has the full support of President Trump. Trump took up A$AP’s cause last month and he has repeatedly called for his release in recent weeks. “Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM,” Trump tweeted on July 25. “We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. For baffling reasons, Mario Lopez thinks that it’s “dangerous” to support trans kids . What’s more, he decided to voice that awful opinion. The backlash was loud and well-deserved. Now, sources say that Mario could lose his job Mario sat down with infamous conservative pundic Candace Owens and suggested that two things were dangerous. One, believing women who come forward after being assaulted. Two, emotionally supporting transgender children. Now, RadarOnline reports that Mario’s entire career may be in jeopardy. “The execs at NBC held an emergency meeting yesterday to discuss Mario’s future with the show,” an insider reveals. The source explains that they held this meeting “because they do not see how they can just let this fly” “Mario’s comments are not an accurate representation of what the network stands for at all,” the insider points out. “The network prides itself on equality,” the source adds. “And,” the insider expresses. “Do not accept anti LGBTQ hate speech at all.” Sometimes, people think of transphobic statements as merely a character flaw, like having a bad opinion. But statements of bigotry — celebrities calling supporting trans kids “dangerous” — can get trans children killed. It’s more than “just words.” “If you come from a place of love, you know, you really can’t go wrong,” Mario said during the ill-advised, ill-fated interview. “But at the same time,” he continued. “My God.” “if you’re 3 years old, and you’re saying you’re feeling a certain way or you think you’re a boy or girl whatever the case may be,” Mario said for some reason. He continued: “I just think it’s dangerous as a parent to make this determination then.” Mario did not explain how accepting your child for who they are might be “dangerous.” Mario did, at least, apologize after his name trended in the worst way for hours. “The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were,” Mario said. “I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community,” he insisted. “And,” Mario added. “I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself.” “Moving forward,” he vowed. “I will be more informed and thoughtful.” Mario apologizing is a good first step … but not everyone is convinced that it’s anything more than an effort to save his career. “His apology really meant nothing at all,” the insider says dismissively. “All it does is solidify that he was aware that his comments were transphobic and hurtful,” the source adds. Apparently, Mario’s PR team thinks that the network may “make an example out of him,” and the insider thinks that they’re “probably right.” “He lost a lot of fans from this,” the source points out. “And there is no way that he could ever really recover them back.” Mario has hosted Extra since 1994. The show was quick to release a statement: “While we have enjoyed a long relationship with Mario Lopez, who we know to be a caring person,” the statement began. Extra continued: “The opinions he expressed in this interview do not reflect those of Extra.” “We wholeheartedly embrace our friends from the LGBTQ community and believe they need support and love,” the statement eaffirmed. The statement concluded: “For more support on these issues you can go to GLAAD.org.” It is believed that Mario may keep his Access Hollywood gig, but public reactions could always change. Honestly? It’s a wonderful thing that society has reached a point where someone being transphobic is a scandal but being trans is not. That said, some suggest that if Mario is sincere about making this a learning opportunity, that can only be a good thing. Years ago, Katie Couric asked some very impertinent questions of some trans women and faced huge backlash over it. Since then, she learned from that and used her voice and profession to be an advocate for the trans community. It would be amazing to see Mario do the same. This time around, she has become the first woman to take home a whopping seven medals at one single World Championships. According to SwimSwam.com , on July 26 in Tokyo, Manuel won four golds and three silvers throughout the week, including being the first American woman to win the 50 and 100 freestyle last Sunday. In addition, the 23-year-old Houston native was on the “winning mixed 4×100 medley relay, then took silver on the women’s 4×200 free relay and 4×100 free relay, and mixed 4×100 free relay.” Despite breaking records, a humble Simone wrote On Twitter: “By no means was this a perfect meet, but that’s okay. I had to bounce back from adversity and trust in God’s plan. Failure isn’t final IF you stay the course and keep fighting. I’m pretty dang proud of myself. All glory to God. Kelly bail in his federal racketeering case, saying he was “extremely troubled” by allegations that the singer had intimidated witnesses in another case. Judge Steven Tiscione ordered the disgraced singer to remain behind bars until his trial, saying that he didn’t believe that there were any set of bail conditions that could ensure that Kelly wouldn’t skip town. “I am also extremely troubled by the allegations of obstruction… And that there could be witness tampering,” the Judge Tiscione said. “Given the serious nature of the charges… He has an incentive to flee.” The disgraced singer appeared in federal court Friday morning for his first appearance in a case that alleges he was the leader of a criminal network that ferried girls around the country to him for sexual exploitation. A hunched over Kelly looked a far cry from his days of performing and only spoke to affirm that he understood the charges against him. Federal prosecutors argued that Kelly was a flight risk with access to lots of cash who’d had already paid off and intimidated witnesses in his 2002 child sex abuse case, where he was ultimately acquitted. Prosecutor Elizabeth Geddes said Kelly had a “history of obstruction” and had his lackeys bribe victims, made them sign false statements and recorded them to use as collateral if they decided to cooperate with authorities. “He did this over the course of many decades and he did it with many women and children,” Geddes said, adding that Kelly allegedly committed sex assault and kidnapping while out on bail in the 2002 case. But in his defense, Anton said there was no evidence of any recordings and said any claims against him were still “unproven accusations.” Anton said his client had been on bail from roughly 2002 through 2008 for his state child sex abuse case and he never tried to abscond. In an update, CBS reveals a funeral for his babies will take place today. “Today there will be a funeral for 1-year-old twins who died after their father left them in a car, apparently by accident. Juan Rodriguez is charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and endangering the welfare of a child. There’s been 24 hot car deaths this year,” the news site tweeted out, alongside a clip detailing the incident. If you aren’t aware of what happened, the story is absolutely horrific . A disabled war veteran, Rodriguez was supposed to drop his kids off prior to going into work (where he cares for the homeless and other vets). Rodriguez dropped his 4-year-old son off at daycare, then went about his day, forgetting that his twins were in the backseat and needed to be dropped off at their separate daycare center. Rodriguez parked at the hospital where he works at 8:22 a.m. and didn’t return to his car until 4 p.m. Then, 10 minutes after he left work and drove off, he pulled over because he realized what he’d done. “I left them in the car!” he reportedly screamed, as witnesses called 911. His kids were pronounced dead on the scene. Today there will be a funeral for 1-year-old twins who died after their father left them in a car, apparently by accident.
