Smith will play Nicky Barnes in the upcoming film The Council , a movie based around the never-before-told story of a crime syndicate consisting of seven African-American men who ruled Harlem in the 1970s and early 1980s. Per the synopsis, “No ordinary crime syndicate, the men dreamed of a self-sufficient and self-policing African American city-state, funded by revolutionizing the drug game.” Wow. The movie apparently centers on the court intrigue between The Council’s Nicky Barnes aka ‘Mr. Untouchable’ and all the different members as one unlikely rising protégé emerges. Remember, we found out that Barnes actually passed away earlier this year and he had lived a life of being rather anonymous after he was arrested in 1978 on racketeering and drug charges. In 2005, Sean “Diddy” Combs played Barnes in the Carlito’s Way prequel, Carlito’s Way: Rise To Power and in 2009, Cuba Gooding Jr. portrayed Barnes in American Gangster starring Denzel Washington . As spotted on Bossip , Rocko and Future have mended their once sour relationship. On Friday, September 20 the “Wicked” rapper treated his hometown to a very special set of his Legendary Nights Tour. He not only brought out 21 Savage and Lil Baby but he also invited his former mentor and business partner. Naturally the surprise appearance took the crowd by surprise as they not only hugged it out but proceeded to perform “Chosen One” together. This peace treaty was highly unlikely as Rocko, who originally discovered Future , claimed he was not properly compensated when his former mentee signed his recording artist deal at Sony Music. In response to the allegations, Future said Rocko robbed him with an unfair contract. They would be at odds for almost five years. In a recent interview with ESSENCE , the star couldn’t stop raving about a skincare product that she says saves her skin while wearing makeup. “It’s been hot right now in LA, so with that daytime makeup, you’ve got to make sure you have your blotting papers on you,” she tells ESSENCE . “Because if you just let it sit and it gets oily, then that sits on your face, that’s going to turn into a bump. So I personally always have to have blotting paper.” She continued, “And just for sure, wash your face. Wash that makeup off as soon as you can; it’s a big one. Because if you leave makeup on, like three days later you’ll have a big bump coming up.” We definitely agree! Blotting papers do a fabulous job of lifting away oils without disturbing our makeup. Source: Mindy Best / Getty Even before Tekashi 6ix9ine was out here dropping dimes like he was in a State Farm commercial a la Kevin Love and became Hip-Hop’s most infamous snitch, he was rubbing people all over the rap industry the very wrong way and none could’ve been more problematic for the rainbow haired rapper than triple OG Rap-A-Lot boss, J Prince . At the height of his success, Tekashi found himself in a war of words with the Rap-A-Lot shot caller due to some friction that went down between 6ix9ine and Prince’s son, J Prince Jr. and during his testimony last week, Tekashi revealed that he and his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods actually robbed some Rap-A-Lot associates when they landed in New York a month after the initial incident. But according to TMZ , J Prince disputed 6ix9ine’s testimony and basically said that the Brooklyn troll turned snitch committed perjury by lying under oath. The rap boss says he’s been warning everyone for awhile … that if Tekashi “keeps campaigning with dumb sh*t that he was gonna get elected! Election Day has come and now I’m hearing lies he’s telling under oath about robbing me or representatives of #Rapalot.” J. Prince adds … “If him or any of those clowns were to try to rob me or anyone from the #Rapalot family bad news would’ve beat them home.” For those who aren’t familiar with how the drama between the two factions got started, word was that Tekashi 6ix9ine and J Prince Jr. met at a clothing store in Houston and chopped it up for a minute. Later on that night Tekashi and his crew were denied entry into a Rap-A-Lot party and things between the two factions really went south after that. In case you missed it … during day 2 of 6ix9ine’s snitch-fest, he detailed how his relationship with his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods, began to sour. He claims he was denied entry to a Houston gig in March 2018 by Rap-A-Lot peeps because he didn’t “check in,” and it cost him money. As revenge for the diss, the Nine Treys planned to rob J. Prince’s people a month later in New York … and Tekashi says they pulled off an armed robbery on Rap-A-Lot reps in the lobby of a building. J. Prince says Tekashi’s version of events isn’t how it went down, and the gig he got turned away from was his son’s party … because they simply didn’t want him there. He says … “Let this be a lesson to those who know better to do better because there was never a question mark in my mind that this kid #takashi69 was rat material that’s why my sons didn’t allow him to come into their party. It was never about a rat checking in with us.” Whether or not the two individuals were actually Rap-A-Lot reps is unknown but what we do know is that Tekashi ain’t never put that work in on the streets, but he knows who did and is letting feds know who they are. Now she is claiming that a person that closely resembles her in the video is not her at all. On the latest episode of the Foodgod podcast, Kardashian was asked by her good friend, Jonathan Cheban, if there was something he didn’t know about her. To his and listeners surprise Kim K revealed that she was in a 2Pac video when she was only 14. “Okay, there’s the most random thing,” Kim responded. “When I was, like, 14, I was in a 2Pac video.” When asked if this “Goog-able?” Yeezy’s boo responded: “No, no one would ever know. First of all, we lied and said we were 18 probably, I definitely looked 18. I didn’t even drive. Kim Stuart was in something, I think it was for a soundtrack. As of September 2019, Uncle Sam remains the undisputed champ of those who think it’s a game in these streets. The latest victim to the tax lien haymaker is none other than former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Peter Thomas . After being arrested earlier this year in Miami for a bounced check, the bad luck keeps on rolling in for Peter. His establishment, Sports One Bar & Lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina closed recently due to some serious financial troubles. According to reports from TMZ, the bar is more than $237,000 in debt, which ended up causing a federal tax lien. Thomas’ plan, you ask? To close the doors, pay the bill down, and then open his business right back up. This seems to show a pattern of bad money habits and the only person who’s gonna lose in this scenario will be Peter Thomas. The reason for all of this debt racking up was cited as certain investments in other projects–but you should probably pay the bills at the place generating your revenue before you invest elsewhere. As for his Miami arrest, his first his explanation was that his account was compromised and he didn’t know. Then, it was a thirsty booking agent who allegedly filed charges for no reason . What happens at one business is bound to happen at the other, but hopefully, he gets his money straight before investing in anything else. Best of luck to Thomas on his upcoming business ventures. Tax Troubles: Former ‘RHOA’ Star Peter Thomas’ Sports Bar Has Closed Due To $237K Tax Lien
Demi Moore has gone public with a truly shocking and harrowing admission. It has to do with something that happened to the actress as a teenager… her mother’s role in this tragedy… and the affect it continues to have on the star. According to Moore in her just-released memoir, “Inside Out,” her very own mother orchestrated a sexual assault against Moore when the actress was 15 years old. In this book, Moore claims that her alcoholic mother, Virginia King, began taking her to bars to get noticed by men when Moore was a young teenager. One night, she came home to find an older man there … in possession of a key to the apartment. After this man had raped her, Moore alleges he said her mother had sold her to him. In the book, she writes: “It was rape. And a devastating betrayal, revealed by the man’s cruel question: how does it feel to be whored by your mother for $500?” Asked if she believed the man, Moore told Diane Sawyer in an interview this week: “I think, in my deep heart no. I don’t think it was a straightforward transaction. But she still did give him the access, and put me in harm’s way.” Moore’s mother died in 1998. At the age of 12, Moore writes that her mom tried to commit suicide and she was the one who saved her life. “I remember using my fingers, the small fingers of a child, to dig the pills my mother had tried to swallow, out of her mouth,” Moore writes in the memoir, labeling this a “life-changing moment” for her. The actress would go on to check into rehab drug and alcohol abuse in the mid 1980s, prior to making it huge in Hollywood with roles in such blockbusters as Ghost, A Few Good Men and Indecent Proposal. She has made numerous headlines over the past several due to the many revelations in this book, such as: – One of the reasons she split from ex-husband Ashton Kutcher is that he talked her into threesomes that she later regretted . – She miscarried a baby girl six months into her pregnancy back when she was married to Kutcher. – After her divorce from Kutcher, she dropped down to 102 pounds and collapsed at a party and was hospitalised after smoking synthetic cannabis and inhaling nitrous oxide at one point. “I guess the fundamental question that came forward for me was, ‘How did I get here?'” Moore shared with Sawyer, referencing the party collapse and adding: “I mean, from where I started to what I’ve experienced, where I’ve been, how did I get here?” Continued the actress of this time period: “I lost me. I think the thing, if I were to look back, I would say, I blinded myself and I lost myself.” Inside Out went on sale on Tuesday, September 24. We wish Demi Moore the best.
