Drake Bell may think Lady Gaga is “repulsive,” but the singer still has some very high-profile fans. Lady Gaga and Bill Murray on David Letterman Bill Murray, for example, wasn’t a scheduled guest on last night’s Late Show with David Letterman, but that didn’t stop the legendary comic from showing up, crossing a few items off his bucket list, and getting friendly with the Mother Monster. Okay, so Murray and Gaga’s time together may not have been a “date,” exactly, but the two enjoyed each other’s company on Letterman so much that while they were still filming, the 28-year-old singer asked the 63-year-old actor to escort her to her show at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom just across the street. No word yet on whether Gaga made good on her promise to “sing some songs” directly to Murray and Letterman during her concert. As for Bill’s bucket list he managed to cross off both “meet Ms. Gaga” and “take a selfie” over the course of the night, so it’s safe to say he can chalk the evening up as the latest in a lifetime of epic wins. As for Gaga, we’re sure Gaga still likes being submissive to Taylor Kinney when she’s at home, but she certainly seemed to enjoy the adoring attention of a couple aging icons last night. As Seth Rogen said in a caption to the following photo, this simply “had to be done.” A day after the Kim Kardashian Vogue cover hit the Internet, Rogen Tweeted a Photoshopped image of himself and James Franco once again spoofing the reality star and Kanye West. The actors, of course, also parodied Kim and Kanye’s Bound 2 music video back in November. In that instance, Kim reacted to the mocking well, writing that Rogen and Franco “nailed it” and saying they’re version was “sooo funny.” But will she be as amused this time around, considering an appearance in Vogue marks a dream come true for Kim ? While this month is typically associated with St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness, Christina Aguilera, via Twitter, promoted another holiday this week: Steak and BJ Day. “Hope you all cashed in this month on steak & bj Day. If not, celebrate tonight! :),” a pregnant Christina Aguilera tweeted randomly on Friday, March 21. For those unaware of this special occasion, its goal is precisely what you think it is. The trusted Urban Dictionary defines Steak & BJ Day as such: “On March 14, Steak and Bl**j** day is a holiday for men, celebrated the month after Valentine’s Day – a holiday for women,” reads the dictionary entry. “The idea is simple: no cards, flowers, candy or other whimsical gifts. A federal judge Friday struck down Michigan’s ban on gay marriage. As such, the state becomes the 18th in the nation to allow gays and lesbians to join in legal matrimony just like their heterosexual counterparts. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette immediately filed for an emergency request for a stay of the ruling in the late afternoon Friday. Schuette said that “Michigan voters enshrined that decision in our state constitution, and their will should stand and be respected.” “In 2004 the citizens of Michigan recognized that diversity in parenting is best for kids and families because moms and dads are not interchangeable.” It’s unclear if that stay will be granted. In his 31-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman heavily criticized the state’s position that the will of the voters should have been upheld. “In attempting to define this case as a challenge to ‘the will of the people,’ state defendants lost sight of what this case is truly about: people,” Friedman wrote . “No court record of this proceeding could ever fully convey the personal sacrifice of these two plaintiffs,” the judge went on. “[They] seek to ensure that the state may no longer impair the rights of their children and the thousands of others now being raised by same-sex couples.” Two Hazel Park, Mich., nurses, April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse, filed their lawsuit in January 2012, saying Michigan has no rational basis for denying them the right. The women have been partners for eight years. “It’s just amazing,” said DeBoer, who wiped away tears and hugged Rowse after learning of Friedman’s ruling. “This is what we’ve wanted for our family and families like ours.” “We got our day in court, and we won.” Friedman did not follow the trend of other federal judges handling similar cases across the country because he did not stay his ruling pending appeal. Unlike most federal judges who have taken up the gay-marriage issue, Friedman opted last fall to hold a trial and give both sides a chance to present their arguments. Friedman’s ruling came two weeks after the trial.
