Ashley Smith is old now…she’s been around for at least 10 years. Fans wanted to know why Gabby Douglas missed Sunday’s VMAs, where her four teammates presented Beyonce with a Moon Man for Best Female Video. It turns out that Douglas is battling a mouth infection that landed her back in the hospital Sunday, her rep told People . “Gabby is back in the hospital tonight being treated for a seriously infected past mouth injury. She continues to have deep swelling and adverse reactions to medication.” Last night, Douglas was feeling well enough to let fans know that she’s on the road to recovery, but it’s been a bit of a painful journey. “Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I’m doing ok” Douglas wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of herself in a dentist’s chair. “I had a complication from a prior injury that caused a cyst to grow on a bone in my mouth. “Got it removed and feeling much better now! “Thanks for all your concerns and prayers and HUGE thank you to the doctors that have taken care of me these last four days! #ontheroadtorecovery #butIstillgottagetthesewisdomteethout” Douglas’ teammates – Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez – missed their girl, but knew it was best for her to stay home (and good thing, too, since she had to be hospitalized again). “I think she’s feeling a little better, but she’s staying home as a precaution,” Biles told People on the red carpet Sunday night. “We’re sad she couldn’t be here to enjoy this with us. We miss her!” Hernandez told Entertainment Tonight that though the growth needed to be closely watched, Douglas is going to pull through . “It’s a little bit swollen, but we hope she can get better soon because we wish she could be here with us,” she said. Vin Diesel has spoken out for the first time since Dwayne Johnson basically called him out on Instagram. A surprising brouhaha has erupted between Diesel and Johnson after the latter shared a scathing post on social media this week. In a lengthy rant, Johnson made it clear he had some issues with at least one male co-star on the set of Fast 8. “This is my final week of shooting Fast & Furious 8,” Johnson wrote. “There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. Universal Studios Entertainment has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em.” Okay, great. All is good then, right? Wrong… “My male co-stars however are a different story,” the action star added. “Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. “When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.” Whoa there! Shots fired! At whom? At Vin Diesel , it appears, with TMZ writing in detail about the problems Johnson had with Diesel throughout the filming of the latest installment in this beloved franchise. And a follow-up report claims Johnson wasn’t alone. Diesel reportedly would show up late to the set… insult other stars… and generally act like disrespectful jackass while filming. Conversely, this same report had nothing but positive things to say about Johnson. According to Fast 8 crew members, he was friendly, easy to work with and pretty much everything you’d expect from the popular star. So… where does Diesel stand on all of this? We’ll soon find out. On Wednesday night, Diesel addressed this feud for the first time, pretty clearly admitting he’s the one beefing with Johnson. But not saying much else. Yet. “So much has gone on this year. KABOOM! No, we’re not making the sound of July Fourth fireworks here. We’re making the sound of the bombshell that was dropped on Sunday night’s new installment of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The BABY bombshell, that is. Oh, yes, Blac Chyna is pregnant with Rob Kardashian’s baby. This is not news to anyone who follows the world of celebrity gossip, of course, but those who watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online got to witness the reactions of Rob’s siblings this week because the show is taped weeks before it airs. The kicked off with Rob texting his older sisters, asking about having a chat discuss his recent engagement to Blac Chyna while they were away skiing. They weren’t thrilled to learn about what news either, of course. “Are you being serious?” Kim asks upon first learning Chyna is expecting. “No I’m being Bible, I’m being dead a–,” Rob responded. “But you have to understand I’ve been trying to do this, I’m not even kidding, this was like really my decision, like it really wasn’t hers on dad’s grave on everything, on Bible.” On bible, people. For reals. “I want mom and you guys involved,” Rob continued. “I don’t expect you guys to be all happy, but I’m sure you guys will eventually. I want you all a part of it. There needs to be a talk between you guys … she’s going to be in your lives forever.” Kim and Kourtney seemed accepting of this reality. But Khloe, though? The sister especially close to Rob? “I don’t know my emotions right now. I am empty … I am internally sad,” she said to the camera at one point. Later on, Khloe and Kourtney talked via phone to their mother, who was in Dubai. They told her that all was fine at home. “There’s nothing we can do … what’s done is done. I don’t know,” Khloe said to Kris, clearly lost and confused. Elsewhere during an intense episode of scripted television, Kylie freaked out over her lip kit . After opening up to her loved ones about it, Kim and Kourtne stopped by to try and talk to her about coping mechanisms when dealing with anxiety. “I don’t know, I just know I’m not supposed to be famous,” Kylie told them in one of the dumber comments in series history, adding: “I can feel it deep down inside.” “That makes me so sad. I’m meant to be famous,” Kim replied, one of the more obvious statements in show history. “I can’t handle it,” Kylie continued. “I care too much and I read too many things.” In the concluding scenes of the week, Khloé founds out that not only did Kris have a sit-down to chat with Blac Chyna and Rob… but so did Kylie! “Her and I were talking about Tyga a lot … I think we all need to be one big happy family” Kylie told Khloe about posing alongside her former bitter enemy . “Then I was like ‘we have to take a Snapchat.'” Kylie later confessed in her interview: “I feel a weight has lifted off both of our shoulders and I feel like that’s all we needed.” Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays at 9/8c on E!
