New Neil Young and Crazy Horse video: Oh Susanna

Video: Neil Young & Crazy Horse – “Oh Susannah” I love Neil, but my biggest issue with him lately is that ever since his longtime producer David Briggs died in 1995 Neil has favored a spontaneous type of songwriting and recording that has all but buried any sense of craftsmanship. Exclusive: Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Priority Was ‘Not Dying’ In ‘Premium Rush’

Gordon-Levitt talks to MTV News about getting in shape for his role as a bike messenger thrown into an ‘extreme scenario.’ By Kevin P. Sullivan Joseph Gordon-Levitt in “Premium Rush” Photo: Columbia TriStar Few actors can claim to have a 2012 quite as full of big movies as Joseph Gordon-Levitt . The 31-year-old actor isn’t just reteaming with his ” Inception ” director, Christopher Nolan, for ” The Dark Knight Rises ,” but he’s also starring in one of the most talked-about releases of the year, ” Looper ,” and preparing his directorial debut, “Don Jon’s Addiction.” On top of all that, this summer he’ll headline ” Premium Rush ,” an action film about a bike messenger caught up in a conspiracy. MTV News spoke with Gordon-Levitt about learning to bike like a pro, acting opposite Michael Shannon and trying not to die in the process. MTV News : A bike messenger isn’t exactly your typical action hero. What was your reaction when you first heard the concept? Joseph Gordon-Levitt : I just think it’s kind of a brilliant idea. It’s a summer popcorn action movie. Instead of glorifying cars and gun, it glorifies bicycles. I think that’s great. MTV News : It’s kind of refreshing lo-fi. Gordon-Levitt : I think that makes the action, in a way, a lot more exciting. There’s no computer-generated action in this movie. It’s all guys that actually performed these things. I had four doubles in this movie. Every day, I rode all day, but there are four other guys who are good at different things. One of them is an actual bike messenger; he rides really fast in traffic. One of them is really good at riding a trial bike, a different sort of bike, which is good jumping and stuff. Another guy does tricks but on a fixed gear bike. Another guy’s an actual Hollywood stunt man, so he’s getting hit by cars. Honestly, when an audience sees a real human being doing things, it’s just more exciting than computer-generated, what amounts to a cartoon. MTV News : How realistic is the biking in this movie? Gordon-Levitt : It’s pretty realistic. It’s definitely a fun action popcorn movie, so you know, it’s a guy in an extreme scenario. It’s not like a slice of life, everyday thing. It’s a movie like “Speed” or “Die Hard,” where a guy ends up in an extreme situation and has to deal with it. I’m on the bike most of the time. It is a movie that takes place a lot on a bike, of course, not the entire time. It all takes place in one day, and it’s a chase movie. MTV News : How long did you train to get yourself into bike-messenger shape? Gordon-Levitt : I trained every day for a couple months leading up to this movie. I rode hard every day and all day. That will take it out of you. You have to be in the proper condition to do that kind of thing. I was definitely in really good shape when we were shooting. You can’t get to be like what these guys do in a short amount of time. The guys who doubled me, they rode bikes their whole lives and are some of the best in the world. I wasn’t doing any crazy tricks or anything like that. That’s what the doubles were doing, but I definitely was riding a lot, riding through traffic, riding with cars, riding fast and doing scenes at the same time, performing dialogue and stuff. Those were definitely my favorite scenes to do. The cool thing was that we actually shot it. They would put a camera on the back of a motorcycle and go down the street, and I would ride and perform a whole scene on the phone, riding through traffic. That’s a really fun way to do a scene. MTV News : Where are your priorities when you’re acting in a scene like that? Gordon-Levitt : The priority is not dying. You can do another take and get the scene right, but then it’s just about rehearsing enough. Doing line, that’s something I’m good at. I can do that easy. It actually makes it more fun, makes the lines come to life more, to put them on a bike like that. MTV News : Similarly, having Michael Shannon as the villain has to make that character easier to fear. Gordon-Levitt : Man, that guy! I think he’s one of the best going, honestly. When I found out that he was going to play the villain, I was like, “Oh, wow. Now this is a movie.” To be perfectly frank, he is by far my favorite part of the movie. Honestly, he is so good. It’s definitely worth seeing “Premium Rush” just to see Michael Shannon play this villainous New York cop in an action movie. It’s f—ing great. ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Vinny Tells All In ‘Control The Crazy’ Book

‘It’s a perfect opportunity to help people now,’ Vinny tells MTV News about his book, which chronicles the star’s battle with anxiety. By Christina Garibaldi Vinny Photo: MTV News “Jersey Shore” fans saw a different side of Vinny Guadagnino during season five, when he opened up his life-long battle with clinical anxiety and temporarily left the show . Now, he’s opening up even more in his tell-all book, “Control the Crazy: My Plan to Stop Stressing, Avoid Drama, and Maintain Inner Cool,” in stores Tuesday. The book reveals why he decided to go public with his disorder and includes tips on how to fight anxiety. Vinny talked to MTV News on Monday (April 16) about the flood of support he has received how surprised he was when he realized he had become a role model. “Every day people were like, ‘Thank you, thank you for putting light on this,’ ” Vinny told MTV News on Monday (April 16). “Cause it’s embarrassing a little bit, because it’s a fearful thing, you don’t know what the hell is happening.” Vinny said “Control the Crazy” is his way of sharing his struggles so that other people can overcome anxiety. “This has always been something I developed for myself and I always said one day I want to share this with people. I don’t know when I’m going to have the courage to come out and say like, ‘Guys, I get stressed out a lot,’ because you don’t want to admit that stuff,” Vinny said. “I didn’t have to make that decision because obviously I went through it on the ‘Jersey Shore’ and everybody saw it, so once that happened was like, ‘You know what? It’s a perfect opportunity to help people now.’ ” And Vinny is the first to admit that even though he returned to finish filming last season, his short break at home wasn’t enough time away to control his anxiety. “Those five days were nothing,” Vinny said of his time back home in Staten Island. “I was in a really bad place and five days isn’t gonna do it, especially to go back in that. I needed two months of sleep.” Yet, Vinny doesn’t regret going back to Seaside to end the summer with his “Jersey Shore” housemates. “Part of healing and going through life in general is getting through tough things,” Vinny said. “No matter how tough it was — I don’t care if it was the worst experience of my life at the time — getting through it is an accomplishment.” Vinny will be back with the rest of the “Jersey Shore” crew, including what will be a very pregnant Snooki , for season six , which begins filming this summer in Seaside. “I’m ready,” Vinny said about getting back to the boardwalk. “I just have to keep working on my program, gotta eat right, stay healthy and just have fun.” For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog.

Demi Lovato’s Ass in a Bikini in Chile of the Day

Demi Lovato may be a pudgy little troll and that lost it’s appeal when she turned 18….or for some of you when she left the cast of Barney and Friend at 5…..but the fact reemains that her pudginess may be a direct relation to her meds…and her meds are a direct relation to her crazy and her crazy is a direct relation to her bi-polar disorder and her bi-polar disorder is a sign of manic unprotected sex while burning all her money in a coke and booze soaked night….so seeing her fat ass from some stalker vantage point is hot to me…cuz I know this is the kind of girl you can K-Fed hard….shaved head like Britney without all the Britney money or fame….and as a voyeur with a dream… these work for me…

What The Hell??? Man Stabbed Girlfriend In The Forehead, Sliced Her Neck, And Slashed Her Fingers Over The Taste Of The Steak She Cooked For Him

Wow this isht right here is crazy!!!!! A Belmont man woke his girlfriend early Monday morning and demanded to know why his steak tasted different than hers before stabbing her with his steak knife, police said. According to a report from The Gaston Gazette, 32-year-old Jennifer Elizabeth Wear told police her 37-year-old boyfriend, Michael William Nivens, drank five 24-ounce beers Sunday night and repeatedly told her he loved her. Wear told police she went to bed, but woke up to Nivens holding a steak knife and repeating that he loved her, the Gazette reported. The police warrant said Nivens asked Wear why she wanted him to die. Then he asked why her steak tasted different than hers, started pulling her hair and stabbed her with the knife he had used at dinner, police said. According to the Gazette, Wear had cut marks on her forehead and the back of her neck. He also sliced open her right ring finger and stabbed through her left pinky finger, the newspaper said the warrant indicated. The Gazette reported that according to police, Nivens later called police to tell them he had been in a fight with his girlfriend. He later told the officer who arrived at the 13th Street home, “I did it. I beat her up,” the police said. He must have thought she was trying to poison him, but all that stabbing and slashing was a tad bit extreme. They need to lock his nutty a$$ up. Source

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 7 Premiere Recap: Tamra & Gretchen as Friends?!

After a long hiatus, The Real Housewives of Orange County are back for a seventh season. Let’s catch up with them in THG’s +/- review of the premiere! When we first see Gretchen, she’s getting ready to go to lunch. With Tamra. Because they’re trying to “bury the hatchet.” And because Tamra’s negativity just brings Gretchen down. Slade’s not happy about a potential Gretchen-Tamra truce. Plus 10 for trying to be the bigger person. Minus 10 for the rose petals in the bathroom floor. Vicki’s house is for sale and they have a showing, so she has to go make the bed for her adult son because people won’t want to buy the house if the line on the comforter isn’t straight. And then they have to fluff the pillows on the couch. Plus 10 because they’re doing it themselves. Vicki also reveals that she’s dating a guy named Brooks who lives in Mississippi. He hasn’t been to her house because – get this – Don’s still living there because she needs his paycheck to maintain the house. But it’s okay because she and Don haven’t seen each other in about two months (despite living in the same house). Minus 10 for the weird factor. Now we’re back to Gretchen and Tamra who are having mojitos. Tamra compares them to dogs sniffing each other’s asses to get to know one another. Gretchen thinks that if Tamra got to know her, Tamra would like her. But Tamra says “I DO like you!” And then Tamra says they just don’t trust each other. Tamra brought Gretchen a gift. A pink friendship bracelet with a key on it. They can use that key to lock up their past or unlock their future. I blame the mojitos, but Plus 5 for the thought. They threw the word “like” around so much at that lunch I felt like I was watching a tennis match between two chihuahuas. Minus 10 for poor use of vocabulary. Alexis is awake and dressed and ready to go at 6:28 in the morning, which is earlier than I’m ever even kind of prepared for anything, so Plus 10 for that. In the off-season she landed a Friday morning segment on the local news station giving health and beauty tips. Minus 20 , however, for both the kissy faces Alexis is making into her cell phone on the ride into work and not even knowing her own home phone number so she can call her husband to wake him up. Tamra and I are jiving right now. She’s calling the crazy on Vicki and Don still living in the same house. And then Vicki dropped a bombshell – Don wants spousal support. Plus 10 to Vicki for dealing with that. Finally, the new housewife! Meet Heather. Tamra’s trying to sell Heather a plot of land so Heather and her plastic surgeon husband can build a house, except Heather’s not biting because she can see the rooftops of a shopping center off in the distance. Minus 5 to Heather for her crazy demands regarding where she’ll build her next house. Tamra kind of looks like she wants to vomit from intimidation. And now the women are going to go have coffee. And then Tamra has Vicki invite Heather to a party. I can’t decide if Tamra’s being a genius or a crazy person right now. Alexis is giving us a crash course in what it’s like to be on live TV. I mean, y’all, you don’t get to do a retake or start over if you mess up. Her segment today? Showing off her ASSets for Dr. Booty. Who is, you know, an “expert” in derrieres. (So, a man?) Alexis always felt she would be on camera like this! Despite the fact that she has no journalistic training or experience. That segment was a complete crash and burn. Don’t quit your day job, Alexis. Minus 10 for the awful. Heather and Tamra are having that coffee and Heather can’t remember how long she and her plastic surgeon husband have been married. Minus 5 . Tamra invites Heather to Vicki’s party and tells her a little bit about the other girls. Heather’s intrigued and agrees to come along. I’m pretty sure she has no idea what she’s just gotten herself into. Alexis goes over to Gretchen’s house, apparently so they can pre-drink before the party at Vicki’s. Peggy goes over to Tamra’s house so THEY can pre-drink before the party at Vicki’s. I’m getting the feeling that this party at Vicki’s is going to get crazy. Poor Vicki might have to do more than just fluff her couch cushions before the next showing. Heather picks Peggy and Tamra up in limo. Alexis and Gretchen and Gretchen’s friend Sarah are in a limo, too. After the pre-drinking, Plus 30 for arranging safe rides. All the women are arriving at the party at Vicki’s house and the place is growing more awkward by the moment. This party, which is being thrown for no other reason than that Vicki is selling her house, is going to be fantastic. And by fantastic, I mean crazy. But we’ll have to wait until next week to find out. Coming up this season? An ’80s night, the C-word, divorces, proposals, tears, and lots and lots of wine and yelling. But hopefully no spilling of the wine. At least not on purpose this time. EPISODE TOTAL: +5!

Will Forte on Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie: It Doesn’t Get Much Nuttier

Movieline caught up with Will Forte this week in Park City, where he was at Sundance to support Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim’s absurdist midnight offering Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie . In the film, Forte plays the uptight, moustachioed owner of a sword store in a mall that bumbling filmmakers Tim and Eric have taken over following the epic failure of their brush with Hollywood. Forte compared the more restricted sensibilities of his gig on Saturday Night Live to working within the madcap, surrealist stylings of the cult duo. Forte, like Billion Dollar Movie co-stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, also appeared on Heidecker and Wareheim’s Adult Swim sketch show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! He recalled his first time on the series, filming a bit called the Lazy Horse Mattress Ad. “I just did exactly what Tim and Eric asked me to do — that was the first time I ever worked with these guys, and it was the best experience,” Forte remembered. “It was so fun, because it’s this advertisement for a mattress store and in between there’s this crazy dream, and for the crazy dream part they just turned the camera on and said ‘Go nuts for a while!’” “They’d turn the camera off for four or five minutes, say ‘Try this, do this here…’ They were so good about giving you direction but also giving you a ton of freedom. It was one of the best times I’ve ever had – it was so therapeutic to just be able to go nuts for a while. You don’t get to do that very often.” His more famous gig on Saturday Night Live , on the other hand, is understandably a much different process. “I love SNL , but it’s different. It’s got to be structured because it’s a live show, so the director needs to know what you’re going to do so he can capture it best; you can go nuts on that show, but it’s a different type of nuts.” As for Billion Dollar Movie , Forte is just one of a number of zany characters populating the first Tim and Eric feature, and while his part is plenty absurd, it’s nowhere near the most bizarre or random bit in the film. (Just wait ‘til you find out what shrim is, folks.) “I’ve always been a fan of the nuttier stuff,” Forte enthused, “and you don’t get much nuttier than Tim and Eric – I mean that as a major compliment.” Sundance audiences didn’t quite know what to make of Billion Dollar Movie ; even crew members admitted to Movieline that you’re either a Tim & Eric fan, or you may not get their brand of random, hyper-ridiculous comedy. Still, if the film is a success, Heidecker told me, they’d possibly explore a prequel – Tim and Eric’s Million Dollar Movie , perhaps? [Photo: Getty Images] Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter .
