Madonna Says Using The N-Word Was Her Son’s Idea, And Appropriating Black Culture Is White Artists’ Right

Madonna Says N-Word Was Her Son’s Idea, Tells Critics To “Kiss Her A**” Madonna is just churning out those soundbites …and possibly jamming her foot in her mouth in the process. In a new interview , she hides her hands on the usage of the n-word when referring to a boxing photo of her oldest son early last year (which she denied being a racial slur) and says cultural appropriation is a non-concern. Via Huffpost : In January 2014, she posted a photo of son Rocco, then 13, with a caption that included the hashtag “#disn-gga.” The backlash was swift and ended in a rare apology from the very woman who has a new song called “Unapologetic B*tch.” Madonna explains that she only apologizes “when I see that there’s a huge fire that’s about to blaze through the center of the universe and I have to put the fire out — especially if it comes to my children.” In the case of the N-word gaffe, Madonna says it was Rocco who told her how to caption the photo. “It was the one time that I listened to my son,” she says. “It was his idea. I was like, ‘What caption do you want me to put on it?’ And I did. I wasn’t thinking.” But Madonna, who has tried on various cultures and looks throughout her career says that she sees no reason to blast artists for cultural appropriation — a term which she doesn’t seem to believe exists. “Oh, they can kiss my a**,” she says of critics who might accuse her of borrowing other cultures’ fixtures. It’s a topic she seems interested to discuss. “I’m not appropriating anything. I’m inspired and I’m referencing other cultures. That is my right as an artist. They said Elvis Presley stole African-American culture. That’s our job as artists, to turn the world upside down and make everyone feel bewildered and have to rethink everything.” Does seeing a white artist try on another culture to boost their own sales make you “rethink everything” though? Madonna actually contradicts this sentiment a bit when she talks about her motivation for being so controversial over the years: “There’s a part of my character that’s on automatic, that just likes to be a provocateur. And to a certain extent, maybe some of the things that I did didn’t really have any thought process behind them necessarily, but they got attention. I wasn’t really thinking of anything specific. I mean, I could even think of shows that I did on the Lower East Side, when I was first starting in punk-rock bands. I can’t say that every creative decision I made was altruistic or came from the deepest part of my soul or with the best intentions or was really well thought-out or anything like that. Sometimes I just did sh*t, you know? Just to, like, throw a firebomb in the room.” Hmmm…what do you think of what the material girl has to say?

Drew Brees Settles DeflateGate Debate Once and For All!

As you may have heard, Tom Brady’s balls have been in the news quite a bit this week.  Sadly, the story has nothing to do with a Gisele Bundchen sex tape and everything to do with the New England Patriots possibly getting caught cheating yet again. Did some rogue equipment manager doctor Tom’s balls on his own? Does Bill Belichick’s pseudo-scientific explanation pass muster? Is Brady pouting and whining about the whole situation? The answer to that last question is a resounding “yes,” but the other two remain mysteries. Fortunately, the patron Saint of football science, Drew Brees, is here to shed some light on the situation: Drew Brees Solves DeflateGate Brees tries to be diplomatic, telling Conan O’Brien he has “no idea” if Belichick and company are guilty, but he proceeds to basically prove that: It’s easy to detect if a football has been deflated. Softer footballs are easier to throw. Some big questions remain following Brees’ demonstration: Did he intend to blow up Brady’s spot by basically suggesting that any QB can tell if a ball’s been deflated the moment he touches it? Who’s gonna pay for that light he broke? And, most importantly, when will Brees finally get that thing on his face checked out? These are the issues we’re grappling with in the days leading up to Super Bowl XLIX. Meanwhile, of course, Tom terrific is focused on what really matters: finding a store that sells Uggs in the Phoenix area. Tom Brady Defends Use of Balls 1. Don’t rub my balls! Leave that to me, please.

Comcast Apologizes For Renaming Customer "A–hole Brown" on Bill

Comcast is on the hot seat again after its mailings changed a customer’s first name to “A–hole” after his wife pulled the plug on part of their service. Ricardo Brown, a customer from Washington State, received bills that referred to him as “A–hole Brown” following a call his wife placed to the company. Lisa Brown said she believes the insulting bill could have been retaliation for her decision to change part of her contract to reduce the monthly cost. “I was never rude,” the two-year customer said of her experience with Comcast. “It could have been that person was upset because I didn’t take the offer.” Comcast confirmed the name on the Brown family’s bill had been changed, but a rep said he had no idea how it happened, according to news reports. After the offending statement, seen above, went viral, Comcast Vice President of Communications for the Washington region issued an apology. “We have spoken with our customer and have apologized for this completely unacceptable and inappropriate name change,” said Steve Kipp yesterday. “We have absolutely zero tolerance for this type of disrespectful behavior and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened.” Ultimately, the cable giant waived a $60 fee it imposed when Brown canceled part of her account, and refunded her for two years of service. That’s at least going the extra mile to make it up to her, we’ll give the conglomerate that. Long story short, though? Epic fail, Comcast. Epic. Fail. 29 Fails That Weren’t Yours at Least 1. Going Up This is what happens when you try to sherpa your belongings up an escalator.

Iggy Azalea Responds to "Blaccent" Criticism

Iggy Azalea has been on the receiving end of some serious criticism in recent months. Some of it might stem from the fact that society of finally getting sick of having the hook from “Fancy” stuck in its collective head, but some of the complaints about Iggy speak to much larger issues: Rappers such as Azealia Banks have slammed Iggy for what they feel is a lack of empathy for the culture from which she profits. Iggy has complained that she’s unfairly criticized because she’s a woman , but in reality, it’s the fact that she’s a white Australian rapper who’s co-opted the style, the dialects, and even the accent associated with hip hop culture, all while demonstrating zero concern for the plight of African-Americans. Iggy’s accent (one part Vanilla Ice, two parts overcompensating Juggalo) has received surprisingly little attention in the debate over her place in hip hop.  That changed yesterday when Eve and Jill Scott appeared on Sway’s Sirius radio show. Asked what she dislikes most about Iggy’s music, Eve replied: “The blaccent. Is that horrible? She’s from a different place. It would be dope to hear her with her swag.” Eve on Iggy Azalea So Eve put a positive spin on it, but it seems that Iggy is in ’round-the-clock defensive mode these days, so she took to Twitter to respond to the critique: “There’s a difference between being yourself and being your stereotype,” Iggy tweeted. “When people I’ve never met say I should act more ‘like myself’ I feel like they’re really saying, ‘Act more like how I stereotype you to be so I can feel comfortable.'” Something tells us that Iggy complaining about feeling stereotyped as a white woman isn’t gonna sway critics who feel she’s woefully ignorant of the problems faced by black Americans. 11 Odd Iggy Azalea Facts! 1. Her Stage Name Has History She took the name “Iggy Azalea” from her childhood dog and the street she grew up on.

Rose McGowan Does Titties on Facebook of the Day

Some people may be excited for Rose McGowan’s tits being posted on Facebook, because Rose McGowan’s got great tits, that she knows are great tits, that are really a huge part of the reason why I know she exists, because in the 90s, she pulled an Emily Ratajkowski and got topless in a movie called Doom Generation, that I am pretty sure I jerked of to on Pause at least once, and it worked out well for her, proving yet again, why you all should show me your tits..not that I can help, but I can stare….and let’s face it…they’re just tis… I am more interested in the picture of her posing as me, I can only assume it has nothing to do with her being in Mexico on the holidays, where wrestling masks are everywhere for white people to pretend they get the culture…and everything to do with me…because I am the only one to ever wear one of these masks…my people invented them. Either way, Rose McGowan is good.
