Gwyneth Paltrow can single handedly ruin leather pant fetishes on a global level when she slips her boring, unattractive, awkward shape body into a pair…what the fuck is she thinking, oh right that she’s a princess cuz her daddy always told her she was even after he called all his industry friends to give her a fucking career…bullshit.
‘Never going to forget this one,’ singer tweets after Tel Aviv show. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber performs in Tel Aviv on Thursday Photo: Jack Guez/ AFP It’s been a trying week for Justin Bieber . After criticizing the paparazzi in Israel on his Twitter account, he then vowed to take a break from tweeting so that he could vacation with his family before his performance there on Thursday. Let’s not forget he had to cancel his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well. But on Thursday Bieber finally hit the stage without a hitch. “Well hello there,” he tweeted before he took the stage at Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park. “Time to do what i love best … perform for the fans. Israel … its almost time. #myworldtour.” According to a concert review in The Hollywood Reporter, Bieber took the stage at 8:00 p.m. to play to an estimated 35,000 fans. While most of the show sounded like standard Bieber fare, at one point Bieber’s music director, Dan Kanter, played the country’s national anthem, “Hatikva.” Bieber then played his inspirational track “Pray,” and even paid homage to manager Scooter Braun’s grandmother, a Holocaust survivor who was in the audience. “It was perhaps the one awkward moment in the show, if only because the next line he uttered enthusiastically was, ‘Who wants to be my ‘Baby?!’ ” the writer noted in her review. After his show, he seemed as happy about the performance as his fans. “AMAZING NIGHT … AMAZING PLACE … AMAZING SHOW!!” he tweeted. “NEVER GOING TO FORGET THIS ONE. #BLESSED” Next up Bieber takes his act to the Singapore Indoor Stadium. He has shows booked abroad through May. Related Artists Justin Bieber
‘I’m just a product of all that; all the hip-hop that I grew up seeing,’ Breezy tells MTV News about the Cali rap scene. By Rebecca Thomas Chris Brown Photo: MTV News Chris Brown may hail from a little town called Tappahannock in VA, but when it comes to his swag, these days it’s L.A. every day for the F.A.M.E. star. Whether he’s doing the “Cat Daddy” with Los Angeles trio the Rej3ctz in their colorful clip or teaming up with Compton-born Young Money MC Tyga for the wildly successful Fan of a Fan mixtape, C.Breezy reps for the region. As we gear up for our New West Week on Monday — MTV News’ must-follow series on the upstarts breathing new life into the Left Coast rap landscape, from Odd Future to Dom Kennedy — we spoke to Chris about why he lays his broad-brimmed snapback in La-La Land. “I been out in L.A. for a while but I think it’s just, with me, my style is just me,” he said when we asked how he’d been influenced by the City of Angels. With the exception of standard-bearer Snoop Dogg , energetic efforts from Game and the enduring influence of super-producer Dr. Dre, the West Coast took a backseat in the last decade after the Chronic -fueled dominance of gangsta rap subsided. But although that indelible sound gave way to a scene that’s now varied enough to count groups like Black Hippy and Pac Div, as well as Nipsey Hussle and Tyga among its corps, Brown said he was nostalgic for the Chucks-and-Dickies look of Ruthless Records-era N.W.A. “I’m just a product of all that; all the hip-hop that I grew up seeing … I’m inspired by everything,” the “Look At Me Now” singer said. “And I think fashion kind of goes with me as a creative artist. “The L.A. scene now is kinda poppin’,” he continued. “We brought the snapbacks back … me and Tyga,” he claimed about the trendsetting head gear. “Nobody was really wearing it, it was a handful of people: It was Omarion, it was Tyga, me and Big Sean wearing snapbacks. And we was just really wearing that as our own kind of swag ’cause we were looking at N.W.A and looking at how back in the day they used to have Kris Kross and the whole nine, and we wanted to bring that back for the kids.” He quickly added with a laugh, “We ain’t taking credit for it, but you know, everybody’s wearing ’em now, so we did something good.” Breezy did share the sartorial credit, citing fellow Virginia native Pharrell Williams as another major influence on his Angeleno-tinged style. The N.E.R.D. frontman put his stamp on the hip-hop-meets-skate-punk look early on, eventually launching the Billionaire Boys Club line (Chris was outfitted in the collection when he visited the MTV newsroom). “I kind of look at Pharrell as one of the advocates of that [look]. I think a lot of kids, whether it be L.A., whether it be New York, a lot of kids modeled after him when he cut that skater/preppy look, then it was Kanye after and [so on]. Pharell was that guy that really set the tone for us as the kids and the generation now.” Starting Monday, stick with us as MTV News turns the spotlight on the New West, the next wave of hip-hop acts helping to restore faith in the L.A. rap scene. From groups like Odd Future to rising MCs like Dom Kennedy, we’ll bring you up close and personal to these artists as they carve their own lanes in the post-gangsta rap era. Keep it locked here for the next week for more on the West Coast up-and-comers!- Related Videos The New West: An In-Depth Look At L.A. Hip-Hop Related Artists Chris Brown N.W.A.
‘I am under the impression that movie sequels are based on the success of the previous movie,’ he quips to MTV News. By Aly Semigran, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jon Stewart attends the 2011 Comedy Awards Photo: Charles Eshelman/ FilmMagic Sorry, Jon Stewart fans, but you’d better not expect to see the Emmy winner on the big screen again anytime soon. It seems the funnyman’s aspirations to return to acting are about the same as his ambitions to get into politics: nonexistent. MTV News caught up with Stewart on the red carpet of the Comedy Awards , which air on Comedy Central, VH1, Spike TV, Logo, CMT, TVLand and online at TheComedyAwards.com at 8 p.m. on Sunday (April 10). Stewart, who appeared on the silver screen in bit parts for films such as “Big Daddy,” “The Faculty” and “Half Baked” hasn’t acted in a movie in nearly a decade, when he appeared in the 2002 cult comedy “Death to Smoochy.” When asked if he would consider appearing in a follow-up to the dark flick, which was nothing short of a box-office bomb, the cable host quipped, “I am under the impression, and again I could be wrong about this, that movie sequels are based on the success of the previous movie. Now, I may be wrong!” However, Stewart — who cracked, “I think my character may have died at the end [of ‘Death to Smoochy’]. Or not. I don’t know” — did come up with an intriguing premise for a “Smoochy” prequel: “How did Smoochy get to be in the suit?” “I was never a very good actor. I can do myself like 10 percent madder or 10 percent happier,” he said of his acting skills. “I give props to the craft of acting, ’cause that’s not what I do. Or most comedians. Although there are some that are really good at it.” For now, Stewart will stay put doing what he is really good at — hosting “The Daily Show” — which won for Best Late Night Comedy Series at the Comedy Awards (during which Stephen Colbert hilariously ambushed Stewart’s acceptance speech). When faced with the prospect of 10 to 15 more years of doing the political satire, Stewart joked while pointing to himself, “Look what’s happened to me in the 10 years I’ve been doing it. … I’d be the crypt-keeper at a certain point.” Don’t miss the Comedy Awards at 8 p.m. Sunday night on Comedy Central, VH1, Spike TV, Logo, CMT, TVLand and online at TheComedyAwards.com . Nick Cannon is regretting taking naked pictures with his pregnant wife Mariah Carey. Though the artistic nude photos were meant to be reminders of Mariah’s pregnancy, Nick is having second thoughts about hanging them up in their house. “My children are going to have to see these pictures. It’s a little weird. It’s a little nasty. I mean, have you ever seen your parents naked?,” Cannon said on today his radio show, “Rollin’ with Nick Cannon.” “When they get older and their friends come over, they will see the pictures and say, ‘Your daddy’s butt naked.’ I don’t want my naked booty out there for everyone to see!” SOURCE Mariah Carey Tweets Pic Of Her Painted Pregnant Belly [PHOTO] Nick Cannon Gets Slimed At Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards [PHOTOS]
Beyonce and father Mathew Knowles seemed inseparable, that was until Beyonce dropped the news that she had decided to leave her daddy’s wing and seek new management . Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams commented on the decision and if she was surprised to hear that Bey decided to leave. Mathew Knowles: “Business Is Business And Family Is Family” “Absolutely,I mean when you think of family, that’s all she’s known since she was a little girl but she is a grown women now, so your grown, you make grown decisions. Some are harder than others but the love is still there. I don’t want it to be like I’m speaking for her but that’s her father you can always get another management but you can’t get another daddy. So, I can’t wait till we all get together again.” Source: Necole Bitchie.com
During an appearance on The View that will air today, Billy Ray Cyrus made a startling announcement: he said he’s called off his divorce from wife Tish. “I want to put my family back together,” he told the hosts and the audience, adding: “Things are the best they’ve ever been.” That’s quite the departure from how things have been recently, considering the interview Billy Ray gave to GQ last month in which he blamed Hannah Montana for destroying his family and said Satan was attacking Miley. But Billy Ray claims things are much better now: “I feel like I got my Miley back in a way,” he said during yesterday’s taping. “I feel like we are the daddy and daughter that we were before Hannah Montana happened.” In October, Billy Ray and wife Tish issued a joint statement announcing plans to end a 17-year marriage. Miley has often been seen out with her mom since then – often defending her from paparazzi – but sources say she hasn’t spoken to her dad in months. We’d be very happy for the family if that’s changed, but we also must be a bit hesitant to believe anything Billy Ray says. The man has proven to often be full of it.
Who’s My Daddy?!?? This little girl is no stranger to the limelight. Her dad has been throwing her names in songs since she was a little girl. The mother and father went through a very rough break up to make up period and there is a movie based on how her father made it big… Who’s My Daddy?!?! It’s Eminem’s daughter Hailie Mathers. She’s 15 and on Twitter looking like a little Hannah Montana. Eminem poured his heart out for his daughter in his lyrics. Even thought Eminem’s life has been somewhat of a roller coaster, Haile is the one thing that he has always been consistent about….
The apocalyptic sci-fi flick had a $36 million opening in its first weekend in theaters. By Ryan J. Downey Michelle Rodriguez in “Battle: Los Angeles” Photo: Sony Pictures The big bad wolf and cartoon Martians were no match for aliens of a much more sinister kind at the box office over the weekend. “Battle: Los Angeles” was the #1 movie with a $36 million debut, while the sci-fi flick’s fellow new releases — “Red Riding Hood” and “Mars Needs Moms” — failed to muster the same type of excitement from moviegoers. While the UFO-invasion flick starring Aaron Eckhart (“The Dark Knight”), Michelle Rodriguez (“Avatar”) and Ne-Yo was victorious in the battle for tickets, it failed to conquer film critics. “Battle: Los Angeles” currently has a 33-percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Conversely, last week’s #1 picture, “Rango,” boasts an 89-percent rating with critics. The animated film about a lizard sheriff, which features the voice talents of Johnny Depp (“Pirates of the Caribbean”) and Isla Fisher (“Wedding Crashers”), was #2 on the tally with a $23 million take, making its two-week total $68.6 million. (All box office figures are according to studio estimates.) Amanda Seyfried (“Mean Girls”) stars in “Red Riding Hood,” a PG-13 take on the classic children’s tale, which debuted at #3 after bringing in $14.1 million. The dark fantasy tale was the worst-reviewed film in the top 10 over the weekend, with a paltry 12-percent critical-approval score. “Red Riding Hood” was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, whose last movie was the first entry in the “Twilight” series, which, of course, launched an international box-office phenomenon. And Seyfried’s recently starring vehicle, the 2010 romantic drama “Dear John,” has earned more than $80 million. “The Adjustment Bureau” was #4, earning $11.4 million for a two-week total of $38.4 million. The mind-bending thriller stars Matt Damon (“The Bourne Identity”), whose “Green Zone” opened during the same weekend last year with just a $14.3 million debut. Damon’s new movie has already earned more than “Hereafter” or “Invictus” in just two weeks. With an estimated production budget of $150 million, it’s safe to say that “Mars Needs Moms” absolutely needed more viewers. The performance-capture Disney flick brought in just $6.8 million in its debut week to land in the #5 spot. The take was the lowest in history for a 3-D animated movie opening in more than 2000 theaters. (It premiered on 4,400 screens.) “Mars” was, of course, competing with another Disney kids movie, “Gnomeo and Juliet,” which was #10 after earning $3.5 million to bring its total to $89 million. “Gnomeo”‘s opening five weeks ago was four times that of “Mars.” The raunchy comedy “Hall Pass” was #6 six with $5.1 million for a $34.9 million total. “Beastly” continued to underperform with just $5 million for a $16.9 million total. Adam Sandler’s “Just Go With It” headed closer to the $100 million mark by adding another $4 million to its domestic haul. Its $93.9 million total, of course, is still nowhere near the $160 million-plus earned by the comic actor’s “The Waterboy,” “Big Daddy” or even the more-recent “Grown Ups.” Multiple-Oscar-winner “The King’s Speech” was #9 with $3.6 million for a $129 million total. For a small-budget historical drama, it’s getting surprisingly close to star Colin Firth’s biggest box-office successes — “A Christmas Carol” and “Mamma Mia!” — and has already passed pictures like “Shakespeare in Love” and “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” This weekend’s new releases will include “Limitless,” “The Lincoln Lawyer” and “Paul.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Battle: Los Angeles,” “Rango” and “Red Riding Hood.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . The Notorious B.I.G. worked with a ton of people during his brief career ranging from Michael Jackson to Mary J. Blige . Vibe.com reached out to several of Biggie’s collaborators to get their thoughts on working with one of hip-hop’s greats. Brooklyn Residents Remember Biggie Fourteen Years Later WBW Honors: Booker T. Washington WBW Honors: Medgar Evers Biggie kicked off disc two of his second album, Life After Death , with “Notorious Thugs.” The song paired Biggie with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony . Layzie Bone: “Puffy called us and said, ‘BIG want y’all on a record.’ We are like, ‘Hell yeah…we coming.’ We end up being in the studio with Biggie all night. We did all of our verses and then BIG was like, ‘You know what? I’m going to take this home.’ When BIG went home we did not hear that record until after he passed.” Flesh-N-Bone: “Hearing Biggie do our style was incredible. I understood why he had to take it home and study it for a minute. He put his own spin on our Bone flow.” Krayzie Bone: “It was bitter sweet. Biggie ripped it but we didn’t have the opportunity to tell him how much he ripped it. He came out and did his thing on the song to where he put another notch under his belt because our style is not easy to where you can just say, ‘I’m going to rap like these dudes.’ Especially back then when we were first coming out. For a New York rapper to do our style was a risk. But when he did it that n*gga killed it. New York showed us a lot of love off of that record. ‘Notorious Thugs’ and ‘Crossroads’ are the only songs they played in NYC by Bone. It was Bone and Biggie.” Hip-hop nerds know that Pete Rock was robbed of inspired the beat for “Juicy.” Pete gives the lowdown on the situation: Pete Rock: “Due to people just doing business a new way and me being young and not understanding the publishing side of things, I let certain things fall through the cracks [when it came to ‘Juicy’]. Puffy came over with Big and I had the drums playing and Puff was interested in what he heard. He asked me if I was making it for CL Smooth and I was like, ‘Nah.’ Big was standing there, but he was more interested in seeing how I made beats. He was requesting certain interlude beats. He was like, ‘I want this song you put between these two songs on your album.’ I made this beat called ‘In The Flesh’ that was on the Main Ingredient album. And I made that beat in front of Biggie. He was like, ‘Oh sh*t…I just wanted to see how you did it, son.’ He was bugging. But Biggie wasn’t even interested in ‘Juicy.’ Next thing you know, ‘Juicy’ comes out and I don’t get credit. I really felt a way about it after Big passed away. We didn’t get to have the relationship that Premier had with him. I had a lot of music for Big, but it just didn’t happen.” DMC of Run DMC appeared on Big’s final album on the song “My Downfall,” which was inspired by an old DMC lyric. DMC: “When I got asked to do a record with Biggie, I was shocked. I got a phone call from Puffy and my manager Eric like, ‘Puffy is looking for you.’ I’m like, ‘Puffy???’ Why the hell is Puffy looking for me for? I don’t dance and I don’t drink Cristal…I drink Ole English [laughs].’ But Puffy calls and says, ‘Yo, Biggie wants you on his chorus. He doesn’t want to sample your voice.’ Biggie thought my line, ‘That’s not all, MC’s have the gall, to pray and pray for my downfall’ was dope. A lot of the really lyrical MC’s like Biggie, Rakim, and Freddie Fox told me, ‘Yo, D…you wasn’t that dude that had to have three 16 bars of fire. You would have one or two statements that could shut motherf*ckers up.’ So I go to Puff’s Daddy’s House studios to meet producer Nashiem [Myrick]. When I finished my part, I was soupped! I’m a humble dude, but I was f*cking soupped because Biggie was huge. Of all the people Biggie could have called Big Daddy Kane or Slick Rick. But he called me. When I spoke to Puff he told me, ‘Imagine Biggie is doing a show and goes, I got a surprise guest for you…a legend!’ And I come out. That would be getting hits on YouTube right now! But unfortunately Biggie passed away, so we never got the chance to perform [‘Pray For My Down Fall’] together. Still, I got to make a record with Biggie Smalls. It was an honor to do that record.” Read more remembrances of Big from Faith Evans, Jadakiss, and Sheek Louch at Vibe.com !
