SMH !!! Florida Student Attempts To Put Hand Sanitizer In Diet Coke Via AP reports: A Florida teenager is accused of trying to poison his teacher by putting hand sanitizer in her Diet Coke. The Northwest Florida Daily News reports that the 15-year-old was arrested Tuesday and charged with poisoning his teacher’s drink. The charge is a first-degree felony. Walton County Superintendent of Schools Carlene Anderson told the paper that the teacher is fine, though she became physically ill and went to the hospital after drinking the tainted soda. Anderson says South Walton High School officials told her the boy is a prankster who didn’t intend for the teacher get sick. In addition to his arrest, the teen has been suspended from school and faces an expulsion hearing. Stay classy Florida!!

According to NY Daily News reports : Are teenagers spreading head lice when they put their heads together to capture the perfect selfie? This idea grabbed headlines when Marcy McQuillan, who runs two Nitless Noggins lice treatment centers in California, told SFist about a spike in head lice among high schoolers. “Every teen I’ve treated, I ask about selfies, and they admit that they are taking them every day,” she said. So, is there really a booming lice epidemic, and are selfies the root of the problem? Experts who spoke to the Daily News were skeptical, but said it was possible that shooting a side-by-side selfie could spread head lice. “In all likelihood it is not the cause of an epidemic, but it is not impossible that it can happen,” Lice Treatment Center’s co-founder Liz Solovay said. Solovay explained that a person could get head lice if he or she put his or her head next to someone whose hair has tons of live lice. However, the chances of this happening “are not high,” she said. Nancy Gordon, CEO of head lice removal company Lice Knowing You, says she has also seen an increase in the number of cases among teenagers, but doesn’t think selfies are necessarily to blame. Instead, the infestations could be caused by the constant “togetherness” of teenage girls. “They work in close proximity,” she said. “They are constantly sharing clothes and hair products.” She also pointed out that teens often greet each other with hugs. And if one person in a group of friends has head lice, he or she won’t tell the others, she said. Others believe McQuillan may have had ulterior motives for spreading the information. “This is a marketing ploy, pure and simple,” Dr. Richard J. Pollack of the Harvard School of Public Health told NBC News. “Wherever these louse salons open a new branch, there always seems to be an epidemic. It’s good for business.” The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there’s no reliable data about how many people in the U.S. get head lice, but the parasites are estimated to affect 6 million to 12 million children ages 3 to 11 annually. According to CBS Boston: A 36-year-old food service worker at a Weymouth middle school has been charged with forced sex with a teenager. Janelle Foley was arraigned Thursday in Quincy District Court on four counts of statutory forced sex following her arrest at her home Wednesday night. According to prosecutors, Foley had sexual relations with a 15-year-old boy around the holidays. An investigation is ongoing concerning a second victim, believed to be a juvenile relative of Foley. The prosecutor asked the judge to impose a $25,000 cash bail. But Foley’s attorney William Sullivan, told the court Foley is a life-long resident of Weymouth, has no criminal record, is married with four children between 7 and 15 years old, and is not a flight risk. He claimed Foley has substance and depression issues that may have resulted in a “lapse in judgement” and asked the judge to impose a $1,000 cash bail with GPS monitoring. A judge ordered Foley held on $5,000 cash bail with GPS monitoring. She must undergo mental health counseling. Foley will be back in court for a probable cause hearing on February 4. She has a “substance” issue alright, with underaged man milk!
This is so sad. Boy Dies Covered In Cigarette Burns This little boy had his whole life ahead of him. According to NY Daily News: A 4-year-old boy died after being found unconscious in the care of a baby-sitter in a Hell’s Kitchen apartment Wednesday — and his body was marked by cigarette burns and defensive wounds, police sources said. Police found Myles Dobson unresponsive when they arrived at the apartment in the Ritz Plaza, a luxury doorman building on W. 48th St., near Eighth Ave., following a 911 call at 10:50 a.m., police said. The boy was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital. The baby-sitter, a 37-year-old woman, was interviewed by detectives for several hours, the sources said. She said she heard a noise, ran back into the bathroom, and found the boy in the tub, unconscious, the sources said. There was no water in the tub, sources said. Investigators had questions about the woman’s story, because the child’s skin was pocked with burns that were consistent with being poked with a lit cigarette, and his body had wounds that appeared to have been sustained while he tried to defend himself, sources said. His body was also bruised, the sources said. “It looks like we’re going to charge her,” a police source told the Daily News, cautioning that a decision had not been made because the investigation had just begun. “It’s too early.” Her story smells fishy. According to NY Daily News: A rapper with close ties to 50 Cent was shot and killed Friday when a gunman in a black ski mask unloaded on an SUV full of people in Queens, police said. Mazaradi Fox, 42, whose real name is Jamal Green, was killed when the shooter rolled up to a white SUV and opened fire. Police sources said Fox stumbled out of the SUV and collapsed in a nearby driveway. He was a childhood friend of 50 Cent and a member of the rapper’s crew G-Unit. “50 Cent was in his New York studio and was saddened when he heard the news. He sends his condolences to Mazaradi’s family,” said a rep for 50 Cent. “We’re sorry to hear about the tragic news. Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends,” said a representative for G-Unit. According to NY Daily News: An argument turned into a devastating tragedy as an Utah man killed his wife and then shot himself early Sunday morning with the couple’s three children in the house, police said. Bret Pepper, 39, got into a heated argument with his wife Jill, 37, in the couple’s bedroom around 1:30 a.m. when he pulled out a handgun and shot her, Lt. Shawn Horton of the Layton Police Department told the Daily News on Monday. Pepper then turned the gun on himself, Horton said. The shocking incident occurred as the couple’s 20-year-old daughter listened outside the room. The girl, who was home from college, then alerted police, Horton said. The couple has two sons, ages 10 and 13, who were also home at the time of the shooting, he said. The calamity does not appear to be premeditated as Horton said Pepper did not leave a suicide note. “It seems to be a shock to the family,” Horton said. “It seems to be a shock to everyone, and it’s especially tragic at this time of year.” Police had never responded to the home before for any type of domestic violence, Horton said. The children are now with family members, but relatives of the family declined to speak to The News on Monday. “That’s what I’m concerned about is the kids,” friend and neighbor Curtis Green told TV station FOX13 in Salt Lake City. “That’s going to be really hard for them, especially this time of year.
