Carrie Underwood Not Fussy With Her Wedding Details

buzznet Life is so good for American country singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood. Flourishing career, good life and love all well-laden to the 4th season American Idol winner. After winning the Entertainer of the Year prize for the second time from a very prestigious award giving body Academy of Country Music Awards on its 45th, multi-platinum singer seemed not so fussy about her upcoming nuptials with Canadian hockey center player Mike Fisher. Underwood tol PEOPLE on Sunday “We’re not people who stress about anything”.  ”We just focus on a few of the main things, and everything is like, whatever.” She also added,  ”I don’t care what color napkins are on the table. I don’t care. We’re just both really laid back. Family, food and fun, that’s all we really need. And, oh yeah, get married.” Fisher, born on June 5, 1980, was playing for the Senators in Ottawa on Sunday and wasn’t able to join his fiancée in Las Vegas. But he did text her during her acceptance speech  and she clearly felt the love from a distance. “I couldn’t ask for anything else in my whole life,” she said. “So many things have been happening and being on tour and planning a wedding. A Woman Stranded in U.K. Needs Medication

A woman stranded in the UK because of the ash cloud asks urgent help from the U.S. government to act so that the stranded Americans can return home. Danelle McCarthy has been stuck in London since Thursday when she was due to fly home to New York afetr attending a sales conference. But her situation is complicated because she needs to take a synthetic thyroid hormone, Synthroid, daily as a result of having a her thyroid removed because of cancer. There are no available drugs from the pharmacists or chemists in the UK. She told CNN that “They have natural form of it which doesn’t absorb in my body the way that it should. I take a very high dose – 250 mcg, and it;s been a nightmare trying to get my medecine.” She also mentioned that the response of the U.S. authorities had been a disaster. She tried to contact the U.S. and all that she receives are links to the web that in anyways, are inpossible to get to. She also tried to write a letter to the White House with regards to her concern and she said the the U.S. should help U.K. lead the stranded people to get back in America. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Monday that Royal Navy vessels had been deployed to bring home stranded travelers. Earthquake in China Death Toll Reached 1,700

The death toll from last week’s 6.9 magnitude earthquake in northwest China has risen to 1,706. There has been an additional 12,128 were injured in the quake Wednesday in Qinghai province. Rescuers have been working 24/7 to help survivors from the debris. The earthquake damaged 15,000 homes around the impoverished country of Yushu, and caused more that 100,000 people to leave the area. There are groups who are still hopeful to recover people and families who wished that their loved ones will be rescued. Northern Afghanistan Struck By An Eartquake 5.3-Magnitude 7 Killed, 30 Injured.

AP (Kabul, Afghanistan) — Officials said on early Monday, no northern Afghanistan hits by a magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck in mountains north of Afghanistan’s capital, killing at least seven people and injuring 30. According to the province’s deputy governor, Kulam Sakhi Baghlani, the temblor hit just before 1 a.m. (2030 GMT Sunday) in Samangan province, about halfway between Kabul and the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif. Quake waswas felt in Kabul as well as the neighboring countries of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and damaged roads and communications in the area, and casualty reports take time to reach authorities. Three (3) districts of scattered mud-walled villages were affected, with more than 300 homes damaged and dozens of head of livestock killed. Landslides sparked by the quake had blocked roads, making even more arduous what was already an eight-hour drive along winding mountain trails from the provincial capital of Aybak, Baghlani said.
