Tiger Woods Shows up for First Tournament After Scandal Outbreak

Tiger Woods is back to business after several scandal controversies. He arrived in Augusta, Georgia on Sunday, and did some practice in preparation for the Masters. This is his first tournament since his sex scandal. On Monday, the pro golfer is scheduled to play another warm-up round with Fred Couples and two other golfers. He is also set to answer questions from the media on his first press conference. Some of the golfers just like Mark O’Meara and Fred Couples are glad to have Woods back. He has made a mistake and he has come forward and really taken full responsibilities of everything that had come out. Latest: China – 114 Survivors Rescued From Flooded Coal Mine, 39 Still Trapped

XIANGNING, Shanxi — More than 100 survivors are expected to be rescued from the flooded Wangjialing coal mine. A total of 88 survivors had been taken out of the shaft by 1:27 PM, Monday. “Rescuers are continuing the search for 39 trapped miners. California Earthquake shakes San Diego, Los Angeles, Baja Mexicali and parts of Mexico

Today at around 3:30pm, earthquakes were felt in California and Mexico with a reported magnitude of 6.9. The shaking was felt in San Diego, and up to Los Angeles. And then series of earthquakes happened over the next hours. The earthquake in Calexico and Baja Mexicali, Mexico was reported to be 7.2 magnitude. There are still no reports of significant fatality but there is already one dead in Mexico, a man whose house crumbled during the quake. Also there are significant effect on buildings and infrastructures most specifically those that were built in early 1900-1940. In Mexico, the power went out an an effect of the earthquakes. There had been a lot of earthquakes that happened since January 2010, the most memorable of which is the Haiti earthquake. Let’s pray the world won’t have to suffer any loss again due to these calamities. American actress Jessica Marie Alba, born April 28, 1981, has plans of adopting a child. Beautiful Alba, married to Cash Warren, has a 2 years old daughter named Honor Marie.  Alba wants to have a bigger family. “If you have the love, and the capacity to love children, you should just adopt. And I plan on doing it, ” says Alba, 28, who most recently appeared in Valentine’s Day. Anti-Foreclosure Program Aims To Spur ‘Short Sales’

Source: NPR – The government is launching a new effort to encourage “short sales” of houses in danger of foreclosure. The Treasury Department will offer more than $3,000 in incentives to lenders and homeowners. Nearly 5 million people around United States are seriously delinquent on their mortgages. Some may be able to save their homes if they can negotiate a loan modification with a lower payment from a lender. Breast-Feeding Would Save Lives, Money As Per Study

CHICAGO (AP) — Lives of nearly 900 babies would be saved each year, along with billions of dollars, if 90% of U.S. women breast-fed their babies for the first six months of life, a cost analysis says. The findings suggest that there are hundreds of deaths and many more costly illnesses each year from health problems that breast-feeding may help prevent. The marines ended up not only fighting the Japanese but also a tougher enemy which is the jungle terrain. Leckie who has survived Camp Gloucester battle is now starting to show some distinct effect of war and is now needed to be treated in a naval psychiatric hospital. Manny Pacquiao Included in TIME Magazine’s Poll

Pacquio is on the list again! Last April 1, 2010, TIME Magazine started a poll and it’s about the 100 most influential people in the world 2010. The Philippine’s pride and pound-for-pound king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao was included on the list.  Included in the said poll are the most powerful personalities like US President Barack Obama, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Conan O’ Brien.  On TIME Magazine’s “Heroes & Icons” in 2009, Pacquiao ranked 20. In fact, in the Philippines he really is influential because  everytime he has a match, there are very low crime rates all over the country. When he wins a match and returned to the Philippines, different politicians are rushing to be with him, For now, ranking to be on the high spot in the poll is not his goal, his priority as of now is this upcoming election.
