Secret Adoptions, Reality TV, And Finding Daddy Drugged Up And Passed Out: Our First Inside Look At Prince, Paris And Blanket’s Lives

Ever since seeing those little un-smiley photo of Blanket Jackson at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in the U.K. last month , we’ve been a little curious about what the Jackson kids’ lives are really like now that their dad is gone. Apparently, we weren’t the only ones wondering. The Daily Mail’s “Mail On Sunday” published a new article today offering the first in-depth (albeit indirect) look at how MJ’s babies are really doing. Until now, only sketchy details have been available about the Jackson children, but today, after interviewing several sources close to the Jackson family, The Mail on Sunday can reveal the first detailed picture of their lives. Within the family, Prince and Paris are now seen as the great hope of carrying on the Jackson entertainment dynasty. There is even talk in Hollywood that they are considering an offer to appear in their own TV reality show. Given the bizarre nature of their upbringing – they often stumbled upon their father passed out on the bathroom floor or in his bedroom due to his intake of drugs – Prince and Paris appear to be surprisingly normal. But Blanket is a seriously withdrawn child. ‘He is shy, speaks very little and seems to be more shell-shocked than his siblings,’ said a family acquaintance. When Michael was alive, the children were educated at home. But now the two older ones attend Buckley School – one of the oldest co-educational day schools in Los Angeles, with fees of $33,500 (£21,000) a year. The Jackson children travel to and from the private school in a phalanx of four-wheel-drive vehicles with their bodyguards. Paris plays on the Buckley flag football team – its only female member – and Prince sings in school performances. ‘They’re down-to-earth kids, not full of themselves, not pretentious,’ says Diane Dimond, author of Be Careful Who You Love: Inside The Michael Jackson Case. ‘They don’t wear $500 sneakers and, except for their father’s trial, they don’t watch TV. ‘Of course, a staff of three maids, a full-time chef and a round-the-clock security detail looks after them.’ The children live with their grandmother Katherine in a sprawling, six-bedroom mansion set in 14 acres. It was once owned by Jose and Kitty Menendez, who were famously shot dead in 1989 by their sons at their other residence in Beverly Hills.

Arizona Mayor to Prince Harry: Keep it in Your Pants!

Prince Harry just relocated to tiny Gila Bend, Ariz. for two months of Apache helicopter training, and the town’s mayor has issued a stern warning to the party boy. Ron Henry is concerned that the fun-loving redhead royal, 27, who had his share of adventures in California, will get wild during his stay in the Grand Canyon State. “There are probably some fathers here in Gila Bend who would go to extremes to protect their daughters,” Henry told the Daily Mail of the sleepy town of 1,700. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we have some very pretty girls here,” Mayor Henry admitted , adding of the hard-partying, playboy Prince of Wales: “Some of the dads won’t take too kindly to a Prince fornicating and drinking the night away. It is a very small, quiet town with a lot of good Christian people.” Yes, he really used the term fornicating. The town’s executive added: “This isn’t a party town. I would advise [Harry] take in the sights of the desert instead.” In the U.S. so far, Harry has shopped at Wal-Mart, indulged in $6.45 breakfasts, scarfed down a whole pizza and rescued a young woman thrown into a pool. He may or may not have smushed Jessica Donaldson at some point too.

Lil Wayne Producer Inspired By Nirvana For Rebirth II

‘I’m bringing it back with a new sound,’ Detail tells Mixtape Daily of finding inspiration in the past. By Rob Markman Detail Photo: MTV News Behind the Beats: Detail Though he is currently sitting atop the rap game, Lil Wayne transcends hip-hop. He flirted with rock early on, picking up the guitar for his “Leather So Soft” video with Birdman and again in his 2008 clip for “Lollipop.” But it was his 2010 rock-inspired Rebirth album that really stretched the boundaries. In October, on the set of Birdman’s “Y.U. Mad” video , Young Money president Mack Maine told MTV News of Wayne’s plans for a second rock LP. During the same sit-down, “How to Love” producer Detail spoke about his inspiration for crafting the tracks for Tunechi’s Rebirth II. “I’ve been listening to Nirvana, I’ve been listening to Pink Floyd,” he told Mixtape Daily. “The zone I’ve been goin’ in on this sh–, I’m bringing it back, back, back, back with a new sound.” Detail, who recently produced Bow Wow’s “Sweat,” is clearly not against finding inspiration in the past. Addressing any skeptics, the Detroit hitmaker promises that he will add his own unique twist. “We all get everything from the past musically, everything has been done already, so for me it’s just taking those elements that I could ride in my car and enjoy and bring it back to something new,” he said. According to Mack, Weezy is not only working on Rebirth II but is actually at least 12 songs into his upcoming I Am Not a Human Being II as well. For the YM prez it is Wayne’s ability to cross genres that makes him such a draw. “He captures all those different audiences, and then at a concert or a show, you bring all those different people together,” Mack explained. “You bring your Rebirth rock people, you bring your Carter people and you bring your I Am Not a Human Being [crowd], and you have a great show. That’s why we sell out arenas every night.” There is currently no release date for either LP, and when MTV News asked Wayne, he downplayed both albums. ” I Am Not a Human Being II and Rebirth II are so not important right now,” Tune said. “We got Twist coming, we got Tyga coming, and then we have Shanell coming, then we got Bow Wow — that’s what’s really important. What I’m doing is really never important, actually. I’m a very unimportant guy. It’s just me.” Related Artists Lil Wayne

Wiz Khalifa Comparisons ‘Huge’ To Newbie T. Mills

‘I thought that whole signing to a major label, getting on the radio only happened in movies,’ ‘Stupid Boy’ MC tells Mixtape Daily. By Rob Markman T. Mills Photo: MTV News Fire Starter: T. Mills One listen to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and that was all she wrote for young Travis Mills. The 22-year-old Riverside, California, native was so enamored by the multiplatinum rap quintet that he decided to jump into music. “The fact that they could sing and rap at the same time, integrate melody and stuff into their songs, I was blown away,” T. Mills told Mixtape Daily. Now that Mills does in fact blend rap and pop melodies in his music, some are comparing the tatted-up newcomer to Wiz Khalifa. While Mills insisted that he’s his own man, he’s also flattered by the comparison. “I think it’s definitely a compliment. I’m a huge Wiz fan,” he said. “Even for someone to put me in the same category as Wiz is a huge accomplishment for myself because I been f—in’ with Wiz a long time and he’s on top of the game right now.” T. Mills hopes to eventually occupy a similar space. When he was 17, the young rapper began recording songs on his MacBook, and by 18, he was posting his music on MySpace. In 2009, Mills performed 60 shows as part of the Vans Warped Tour, where a dance tent was his stage. He went on to sign with independent label Uprising Records, the home of his 2010 debut Ready, Fire, Aim! Although he’s still a relative unknown, his video for “Stupid Boy” has clocked 1.8 million views on YouTube. And T. Mills is just getting started. At the top of the year, he signed to Columbia Records, dropping his free LP Leaving Home with the label. “Originally, the concept for the album was a mixtape, I just wanted to put out a mixtape,” he explained. “What if we do an album that I give to my fans as gratitude?” he remembered asking the record company. While “Stupid Boy” is a party track, Mills believes he has grown since then, so on Leaving Home, he offers up more than just carefree, feel-good music. “It was my first time in a real studio, so it was my first time having access to all that stuff,” he said of his breakout single. “Before then I just recorded on my laptop. I feel like it was a good learning experience for me. It’s not who I am now but it gave me that platform.” That’s not to say that Leaving Home isn’t fun. There’s the sneakers-and-sex ode “Vans On,” where Mills sings about making love while wearing his skater kicks, for example. And to add balance, there’s also the inspirational “Smoke & Mirrors” and the cautionary “Hollywood.” With his major-label debut scheduled for a 2012 release, it seems T. Mills is well on his way. The reality of it all, though, is still a bit much for the small-town kid. “When I was 19, I didn’t think anything could happen,” he admitted. “I’m from a small town; I thought that whole signing to a major label, getting on the radio only happened in movies.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . (crossposted from Daily Kos ) This has got to be one of the most amazing stories I’ve read this year. You might remember back when I was one of the people around Daily Kos chronicling the comings and goings of racist blogger and radio host Hal Turner . It was through that effort I first became aware of One People’s Project , an antifa group, and started communicating here and there with its founder… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Green Mountain Daily – Front Page Discovery Date : 31/10/2011 06:06 Number of articles : 2

Britney Spears: Does Our Girl Still Have It?

Pop icon Britney Spears is making headlines all over the world for her recent songs, music videos and Femme Fatale tour, but not all of them are positive. Her trademark scandalous, skimpy costumes have earned harsh criticism from some, while her devoted fans continue to flock to the singer’s every show. One thing’s for sure: This is not the Britney Spears of old. The pop icon kicked off the UK leg of her tour in London Thursday night, showing off her ample, womanly curves in sexy bras, panties, leotards, etc. The 29-year-old chanteuse, whose weight has fluctuated in recent years, is not shy about flaunting a slightly healthier midsection and … other attributes. But is she phoning it in these days? The Daily Mail reported that Britney’s ticket sales have been sluggish and that her lip synced performance at the O2 arena “lacked soul” and that there was “no real interaction between the singer and her fans.” Does Britney Spears still have it?

Elsewhere In The World: Australian Crime Commissioner Pays Country’s Biggest Yayo Dealer 200 Racks To Turn Snitch!!

Looks like crime DOES pay…in Australia! The NSW Crime Commission has confirmed an informant codenamed “Tom” was paid in March 2006 for “sustenance over the next four years”. “That amount was in fact paid by the commission,” a spokesman confirmed yesterday, The Daily Telegraph reported. The decision to give Tom the $200,000 reimbursement was made largely because of the recommendation of disgraced former NSW Crime Commission assistant director Mark Standen, who was using Tom as an informant. Standen was recently found guilty of trying to import 120kg of pseudoephedrine, for which he faces sentencing next month. The Australian Federal Police confirmed this week that, along with the Australian Crime Commission, it had confiscated two amounts totalling $825,000 from Tom, which he had given to the NSW Crime Commission in 2005. Tom handed the commission a further $53,000 in October that year and it, together with the earlier payments and accrued interest, totalled $936,000, which was confiscated by the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions. The money wasn’t the only perk that “Tom” received from the NSW… Tom was also given immunity for crimes ranging from drive-by shootings to kidnap because the NSW Crime Commission considered him such a valuable informant. According to Standen’s testimony, Tom was not allowed to “keep” his money but was given “money in specie” – in other words the drug money was kept by the Commonwealth but an amount equivalent was legitimised and “he was paid an amount of money from commission funds”, Standen said. We’re not exactly sure what part of the game this is, but it’s safe to say that “Tom” is one lucky muhfugga! How many drug dealers turn themselves and their money in and STILL get gwap like this?! Locksmith Gets Super-Lyrical On New Mixtape

‘I got my notoriety from going into that hip-hop underground battle world,’ MC tells Mixtape Daily. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Ade Mangum Locksmith Photo: IMGMI Firestarter: Locksmith Not much is known about Locksmith , but one thing is for sure: The Richmond, California, MC can spit with the best of them. On Wednesday’s “RapFix Live,” Locksmith closed the show with a tongue-twisting, lyrically packed freestyle verse, but for those who have been following the Bay Area lyricist this is nothing new. “I really got my start … I got my notoriety from going into that hip-hop underground battle world,” Locksmith told Mixtape Daily . In September, the verbal wizard dropped his I Am Lock mixtape as a free Internet download. The 10-track project features production from Ski Beatz and West Coast luminary E-A-Ski . From the tape’s opener, “That Bullsh–,” Lock makes it clear that he is about his business. “It’s more like a raw freestyle song so it’s more accustom for people that are familiar with me,” he said. “They know he can go in. Then, it’s a shock to the people that don’t know me, like, ‘Yo this guy can really spit.’ ” “I ain’t no drug dealer, I ain’t no n—a star/ I ain’t no bitch n—a, I ain’t no prison guard/ I ain’t no f—in’ cop, I represent the Rich/ My little cousin got murdered n—a f— a bitch,” he spits. The wordplay continues throughout. Later in the track, Smith goes even deeper when he lets loose with lines like, “Lyrically I’m on another level, try to bruise me/ I make Lil Wayne sound like Lil Boosie/ I make Andre sound like Kanye/ If a n—a don’t believe a mother—er, step to me.” For Locksmith, however, all of this is simply a warm-up for his debut album, Embedded, which is due out November 15.
