Brooke Hogan Ends Engagement to Phil Costa

It is all over for Brooke Hogan and Phil Costa . The couple, who got engaged in June, will not be walking down the aisle after all, not after Hogan called off her relationship with the 26-year old Dallas Cowboys player. According to Brooke’s rep, via E! News, Hogan wants to focus on her “passion and love” of music over her passion and love for Costa, with the insider adding in a statement: “Brooke moved back to L.A. a couple of weeks ago to be closer to her mom Linda Hogan and she is currently in the studio working on her album. She’s halfway through [the album] and expects to release it in the spring.” Hogan and Costa got engaged in Las Vegas on June 29, with the former writing on Instagram that it was the “happiest moment of my LIFE” and that she was psyched to marry her “best friend.” She included with the message the following photo of the proposal itself: But, hey, feelings change. And at least Brooke is doing okay. Earlier this week, she Instagrammed a “morning prayer” that read, “Dear God, today I woke up. I am healthy. I am alive. Thank you.” Sort of makes you think, doesn’t it?

Sources close to production tell us, the fight broke out after co-star Sunny Carter badmouthed Draya’s new boyfriend Dallas Cowboys star Orlando Scandrick — and Draya snapped. We’re told it got so bad, the girls had to be physically pulled apart, and Sunny walked away with a black eye. We’re told the trash talking has been a huge issue the last few weeks, with cast members maligning Scandrick, basically calling him a philandering scumbag … among other things .. and Draya simply reached a breaking point. It’s unclear if it’s related to the fight, but we’re told Draya bailed on the cast trip to Paris last week, where they were supposed to film the finale. Jakes recently spoke out against Oxygen’s new “Preachers of L.A.” reality show. According to EEW Magazine : “Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV. I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave.” You did not buy what I got. I had it when I came here. You know I had it when I came here. The devil is a lie! I have sold enough books and produced enough movies. I don’t need your offering to pay for this little slimy suit. This time, the baby mama is Erica Syion — a former dancer who worked at a gentlemen’s club in Dallas, TX. Erica and Adrian have a 4-year-old son together. Sources connected to the situation tell us … the two have a financial arrangement, in which Adrian gives Erica money to pay for the kid’s schooling, as well as living expenses. We’re told the two met in Houston back in 2007 … but their relationship has deteriorated in the past few years. Sources tell us Adrian IS involved in the child’s life — but Erica is the primary parent, with Adrian visiting when he can. In total, Adrian has fathered (at least) 5 children: 2 kids he referenced in a 2009 documentary … one was 4 at the time. He didn’t mention the age of the other (it’s likely he was referencing his son with Erica). Since then … he fathered Adrian Peterson Jr. (who’s 2-years-old) and a 3-month-old daughter with a waitress in Minnesota. His other son, a 2-year-old, passed away last week. Police Fatally Shoot Homeowner After He Shoots Intruder A Texas man who shot and killed a burglar who attempted to rob his home is now dead after police fatally shot him when arriving to scene and “not realizing” that the gun-wielding man was defending his home. via Fox News A Texas homeowner was shot dead by police after he shot and killed a career criminal who broke into his home Thursday night, authorities say. The Dallas Morning News reports police did not realize 57-year-old William Keith Hall was defending his home when they arrived, and that Hall ignored the officers’ repeated demands he drop his weapon. Maj. Jeff Cotner tells the paper Hall pointed a pistol at police officers and witnesses on the scene, and that he had plenty of time to “de-escalate the situation.” “He was given plenty of notice, and he didn’t choose a path other than to confront officers,” Cotner said. Hall also allegedly pointed his gun at a contractor working on a house nearby who called 911 after hearing the shots. The caller, later identified as David Humphrey, told authorities Hall was yelling at witnesses to get away from the man who allegedly broke into his home, identified as 30-year-old Jerry Wayne Hale, after he shot him. Humphrey said Hall tried to fire at the witnesses but his gun was apparently jammed. The Dallas Morning News reports Hale had been arrested 14 times since 2000, and that his girlfriend told authorities he had gone to Hall’s home to burglarize it.
