Dancing With the Stars Recap: Kirstie Alley, Maksim Chmerkovskiy Fall, Make Full Recovery!

Hines Ward and Petra Nemcova led the way last night on Dancing With the Stars with scores of 25 apiece, but Kirstie Alley’s routine got the most buzz. Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s fall to start his rumba with Kirstie was the defining moment of week three, but the way they recovered was the bigger story. It appeared that Maks’ leg just gave out and he tumbled while holding Alley, who also went down hard. But they rallied for a respectable 21. Watch: Dancing With the Stars Week 3 – Kirstie and Maks Monday was personal story night on DWTS , with Kirstie and Maks dancing to “Over the Rainbow,” and Alley telling the poignant story of her move to L.A. Who knew she’d have another story to tell right after. “My thigh just gave out. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” said Maks, who had to take this really hard as a perfectionist. “It has nothing to do with her.” “Sometimes tragedy leads to an amazingly beautiful moment,” Carrie Ann Inaba said, noting that after the fall “something magical happened.” Bruno added, “You can’t keep good talent down. Once you got up it was better than ever.” Indeed. How did that score of 21 match up? Let’s see: Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: 9-8-8 (25). Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin: 8-9-8 (25). Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel: 8-7-8 (23). Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas: 8-7-8 (23). Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 7-7-7 (21). Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff: 7-7-7 (21). Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke: 7-7-7 (21). Romeo and Chelsie Hightower: 7-6-7 (20). Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya: 7-6-7 (20). Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani: 5-5-5 (15). Who do you be in jeopardy tonight, besides the obvious Wendy? Will Maks and Kirstie emerge from this night stronger and more popular than ever? We know it’s early, but who will win Season 12? Vote below, and stay tuned to THG for more videos and updates from DWTS throughout the day:

‘Dancing With The Stars’: Hines Ward, Petra Nemcova Score With Personal Songs

Wendy Williams’ foxtrot is the lowest-rated of the night. By Kelley L. Carter Kym Johnson and Hines Ward Photo: ABC Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” was an emotional event. The celebrities were told to choose a song that told a story about themselves. Some songs talked about their career challenges, some called up memories of now-deceased parents and others were about relationships and the challenges that go along with romance in the pubic eye. At the top of the judges’ list were football star Hines Ward and supermodel Petra Nemcova, who both grabbed scores of 25 out of 30. Talk-show host Wendy Williams earned the lowest score of 15. Here’s how the dancers fared this week: Wendy Williams and her partner, Tony Dovolani, told the story of Williams’ dreams of having a radio career. She performed the foxtrot to “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life,” and the judges thought she lacked fluidity. Judge Len Goodman said she worked extremely hard, but it wasn’t great. “It was suited to radio,” he told her. Bruno Tonioli told her “at times it looked like you put down roots.” Carrie Ann Inaba worried that Williams took a step backwards from her performance last week. Score: 15/30. Disney star Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas danced to “Chelsea,” which was written for her by her first love. Her cha-cha was a big hit with the judges, who thought her performance was sexy and energetic. “Chelsea! Chelsea! Sexy! Sexy!” Tonioli said. Goodman joked, “I remember my first love, and she didn’t look anything like you!” Score: 23/30. Wrestler Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke performed an emotional rumba to “Let It Be,” the same song that Jericho played at his mother’s funeral. The judges loved the powerful dance, an Inaba was in tears by the end. Score: 21/30. Model and reality star Kendra Wilkinson told her partner, Louis Van Amstel, that she wanted to dance to a song by Musiq Soulchild, which reminded her of the beginning of her relationship with her husband, Hank. She talked about “haters” who didn’t care for her dating her husband because of her background as a Playboy model and the former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner. They called her a “stripper,” she said. “There is nothing wrong with a good stripper!” exclaimed Tonioli. Score: 23/30. Rapper and actor Romeo and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, danced to “I’ll Be There,” which was in memory of two of his cousins who died at a young age. They danced the rumba, and the judges thought that his footwork needed a bit of work. 20/30. Football star Ward danced to Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Fantasy,” a tribute to his single mom, and judges were in love with his performance. “My whole life experience has been great. I’m very blessed. This is a tribute to her. It’s a celebration. We’re going to the moon, Ma! We’re on ‘Dancing With the Stars’!” he said to his mother, who was in the audience. Score: 25/30. Supermodel Petra Nemcova danced to “You Raise Me Up,” a song she said she listened to after she revisited the area destroyed by the tsunami in Thailand that she was in. The song, she shared, gave her the encouragement to start a foundation to benefit those affected by the tragedy. She and her partner, Dmitry Chaplin, danced the waltz, and the judges called her performance elegant. Score: 25/30. Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard picked a fun song, “My Prerogative.” He and partner Anna Trebunskaya did the paso doble, and the judges said he needed to work on his lines a bit more. Score: 20/30. Actress Kirstie Alley and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, danced the rumba to “Over the Rainbow,” a song that Alley said embodies “the hopefulness after the despair” she felt in 1980 when in 72 hours she lost her mother, almost lost her father and got her first film role. The judges said she made an improvement. Score: 21/30. Actor Ralph Macchio danced to “Stay Gold,” from his movie “The Outsiders,” which he said also was his wedding song from 24 years ago. He and partner Karina Smirnoff danced the rumba, and Macchio closed the dance by running over to his wife and kissing her. Inaba said he needed to work on his core strength. Score: 21/30. ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Results: Mike Catherwood Is The First To Go

The ‘Love Line’ co-host says he made a ‘lifelong friend’ in partner Lacey Schwimmer. By Kelley L. Carter Lacey Schwimmer and Mike Catherwood on “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday Photo: ABC For about a week now, much of the talk about “Dancing With the Stars” has focused on whether Chris Brown would (or should) perform on Tuesday night’s elimination episode. Fortunately for fans of dance, Brown’s pre-taped performance of “Yeah 3x” and a medley of “Forever” and “Beautiful” was relatively uneventful, so the R&B singer didn’t eclipse the show’s true focus: who would be the first person booted from the 12th season of the popular ABC show. It seemed to be not too much of a surprise when “Love Line” co-host Mike Catherwood’s name was called. The low-scoring dancer — who was partnered with Lacey Schwimmer — had improved from last week by four points, but it clearly wasn’t enough to spare him for another week. Top-scoring celebrities Ralph Macchio, Kirstie Alley, Chris Jericho, Hines Ward and Romeo were among the judges’ favorite dancers and easily were saved for next week. Last-place dancer Catherwood was in the bottom three with boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and talk-show hostess Wendy Williams. When the radio personality was told by host Tom Bergeron that he would be leaving, he talked up how valuable his short time on the show had been. “It’s been nothing but a pleasurable experience,” he said, thanking fans of his radio show and his “Dancing With the Stars” peers. “It sucks to be sent home first, but I’ve made a lot of good friends. America obviously knows that Lacey Schwimmer is a beautiful person on the outside, but everybody needs to know she’s equally, if not more, beautiful on the inside. I’ve made a lifelong friend.” Related Photos The 2011 ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Cast’s Movie Past ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 12 Cast Revealed

Denise Richards Increases Security, In Fear of Charlie Sheen

When Charlie Sheen is spewing nonsense about warlocks and winning, it’s easy to laugh along with the unemployed actor. But then it’s also important to remember: He’s been accused of, and arrested for, multiple assaults against women. This is a shady individual whose issues go far beyond whatever he puts in his own body and whatever words he uses against Chuck Lorre. Denise Richards is constantly aware of this fact, however, which is why sources say the actress has increased security around her and her daughters. She’s taken such a step in light of Sheen’s recent, hate-filled Tweet that labeled her a “traitor” and a “dog killer.” “Denise and her girls live a simple life,” an insider tells Pop Eater . “She wants Sam and Lola to have normal lives, but after the recent threats and verbal attacks, she has increased her security. When you are dealing with a mad man, it’s better to be safe than sorry.” While the public is first getting a look at the dangerous side of Sheen, it’s one with which Richards has been unfortunately aware for years. Says the source: “If Charlie is willing to put those evil tweets out in public, you can only imagine what he has called Denise in private… Denise is no longer angry – she’s scared.” Does anyone blame her?

Cheryl Burke Objects to Chris Brown’s Appearance on Dancing with the Stars

Tom Bergeron won’t be the only one refusing to give Chris Brown a standing ovation tonight. The Dancing with the Stars host has already voiced his displeasure over that controversial star appearing on this week’s results show, and now Cheryl Burke has spoken out against the performance, as well. “As a victim of domestic violence, I don’t agree with him coming on the show, but it’s out of my control,” she told Extra . Earlier this year, Burke opened up about her past and admitted she was molested as a child . It should be an interesting evening on ABC, that’s for sure. Do you think Brown should be welcome on such a national stage?

Wendy Williams & Romeo On Dancing With The Stars [VIDEO]

Link:

Wendy Williams and Romeo Miller took to the hardwood last night to perform for the second time on Dancing With The Stars. While both stars improved from last week, Romeo in my opinion smashed the competition with his vibrant moves and sexy smile! He and his partner Chelsie scored 24 points. Wendy Williams on the other hand was still stiff…but did better in this performance than the last. Being such a busty woman she was worried about her breast getting in the way of her quick step; and she was rightly so. Overall Wendy and Romeo are giving it his and her all and are fun to watch!
