Parents Arrested After Daughter Dies Of Heat Exhaustion According to Mail Online The parents of a 23-day-old baby girl have been arrested after she allegedly died from heat exhaustion when they took her on a grueling 1,100-mile road trip in a van that had no air conditioning and only one working window. Christopher and Angela Randolph, age 28 and 26, embarked on a 15-hour drive from Columbus, Ohio, to the tiny town of Ringling Oklahoma, to visit family on Tuesday, police said. They stopped at a gas station in Ardmore, 20 miles from their destination, when they noticed little Hanna, born less than a month ago, had stopped breathing. Temperatures in Oklahoma on Tuesday reached 100 degrees with 30percent humidity by 2pm, when the couple noticed their daughter was dead. She was rushed to the hospital, but pronounced dead. Police believe she died from complications from heat exposure, though a full autopsy is pending, according to KOTV. The couple’s 15-month-old baby who was also in the van was taken into protect custody. The parents, Christopher and Angela, were arrested and charged with child neglect causing death. Police in Ardmore say they have learned the two other children the Randolphs had were removed from their custody by the state of Ohio in 2010. The pair were arrested on Wednesday afternoon by police in Ardmore. Newborn infants have minimal ability to regulate their own body temperature and have fewer working sweat glands than children who are even a few months old. Police suspect the child over-headed in the scorching car because of minimal air flow. Why would you take a baby on a road trip in a van with no AC and one working window?
This is so sad. A three-year-old girl is dead after her mom’s negligent friend was too busy playing on Facebook to notice she had slipped into the pool , where she drowned. Via NY Daily News reports : A 3-year-old girl drowned a few feet from the Dallas woman who was supposed to watch her — while she allegedly browsed Facebook. Kariasa Thomas, 37, was charged with reckless injury to a child Wednesday, authorities said. The tragedy occurred at Thomas’ apartment complex pool where she and her legally blind husband brought her daughter, 16, and four of her friend’s children, ages 3, 5, 6 and 7. Thomas only let the toddler, Kanyce Giddings, stand on the steps leading into the water because the girl did not know how to swim, according to the arrest affidavit. Despite this inability, Kanyce was not equipped with a flotation aid or any other type of safety gear, The Dallas Morning News reported. While lounging poolside, Thomas logged onto Facebook with her phone for about 15 minutes and played with her dog — never looking up to check on the children in the water, police said. A complex security guard, who is also a Dallas police officer, told Thomas that the pool was closed. But when she called out to the children, Giddings did not respond. Thomas borrowed the guard’s flashlight to look for the child. She accidentally kicked her upon stepping in the pool, the affidavit said. The security performed CPR while a bystander called 911. The girl was pronounced dead at Methodist Charlton Medical Center that night, according to local station WFAA. It took police until last Saturday to book Thomas. “That was just the investigative process. We never want to rush anything,” Sgt. Warren Mitchell told the Daily News. “We want to look into every case as thoroughly as we can.” Her bond was set at $25,000. SMH @ her accidentally kicking the little girl! Another priest chopping down children. SMH. Priest Molests Teenage Girl According to The NY Daily News Not all Catholic priests who abuse minors escape justice. A California superior court judge sentenced Father Uriel Ojeda, 33, to eight years in state prison on Friday for molesting a teenage girl multiple times. “My actions were those of a weak and sinful man,” Ojeda said in court. Ojeda pleaded no contest to sneaking into the young girl’s bedroom at her parents’ Sacramento home on the night he was ordained and climbing into bed with her as she slept. “You traumatized me,” the girl told him in a letter that was read in court by Deputy District Attorney Allison Dunham. “And you thought I would never tell anyone, didn’t you? But you thought wrong.” According to the girl’s parents, Ojeda molested their daughter on 10 occasions, and the crimes took place between June 29, 2007, and June 30, 2009, the Sacramento Bee reported. “I have committed a crime and a serious sin,” Ojeda told the judge as a group of roughly 30 of the well-liked priest’s supporters watched in stunned silence. “I would like to ask everybody for forgiveness and that they do find mercy for me.” The Vatican announced that it has begun the process of defrocking Ojeda, who wore an orange prison jumpsuit in court. “I’d like to, as a final act as priest, to apologize to all priests who serve faithfully before God, for bringing shame to the priesthood,” Ojeda said. Teen Victim Of Alleged Cleveland Serial Killer Was ‘A Good Girl’ According to NBC News All three women whose bodies were found wrapped in trash bags in a dilapidated northeast Ohio neighborhood have been identified, families and authorities said. The last two victims were identified Tuesday. One of them was 18-year-old Shirellda Helen Terry, the teen’s grandmother told The Associated Press. Officials identified the other victim as Shetisha Sheeley, 28, of Cleveland. Their bodies were found last week along with that of another woman in a dilapidated East Cleveland neighborhood dotted with abandoned houses. Rosetta Terry said authorities notified the family Tuesday that her granddaughter was one of the victims. She said Shirellda was last seen July 10, leaving a Cleveland elementary school where she had a summer job. Rosetta Terry described her granddaughter a caring person who would frequently attend Bible study groups and called and texted her mother. “She was a good girl; she was a hugger,” said Rosetta Terry. “We used to tease her that we were gonna put her on a hug diet.” The county medical examiner’s office did not confirm Shirellda Terry’s identity, saying the family had asked for time to inform relatives. Earlier Tuesday, East Cleveland Mayor Gary Norton identified Sheeley as among the victims. The identification was made through fingerprints and information from the tattoos, which “permitted the comparison” that led to her identification, said Thomas Gilson, Cuyahoga County’s medical examiner. Gilson said his office hoped to release information on how the women died within a few days. Shetisha Sheeley was arrested June 30, 2012, on a charge of firing a weapon from a vehicle but the case was dismissed three months later. Her court-appointed attorney, Michael Nelson, said there were no witnesses who saw her firing the weapon. Nelson told The Associated Press that Sheeley came from a troubled family background and never got help posting her $1,000 bond, keeping her locked up while the case moved through the courts. “She lived on the edge,” said Nelson, who recalled her as unemployed, living in an apartment alone and vulnerable as she struggled to make a life. The first known victim was identified by police on Monday as Angela Deskins, 38, of Cleveland, whose body was found Saturday. Norton said in brief remarks that he realized on hearing her name that he knew her family and went to school with some of her relatives. The Deskins’ family supported Angela and provided a place for her to live, the mayor said. “She always had a place to rest her head, they always assured that she had money to live with,” Norton said. “And just when she trusted herself — she was a very trusting person — entrusted herself to someone who had the worst of intentions, then and only then did this fate befall her.” Michael Madison, 35, is in custody facing preliminary charges of aggravated murder and kidnapping in the slayings. He is a registered sex offender who served four years in prison beginning in 2002 for attempted forced sex and attempted possession of drugs. Madison was moved from the East Cleveland jail Tuesday to Cuyahoga County Jail. East Cleveland police responded to a call about a foul order on Friday and discovered a body in a garage. Within hours they identified Madison as a suspect and went to his mother’s house where he was arrested after a brief standoff. They found the additional bodies Saturday after their questioning of Madison led them to renew their search. Authorities searched again Sunday but called it off without finding additional bodies. In his post Game accused Karen of neglecting his children, smoking and drinking excessively around them and leaving a used condom in his daughter’s bedroom. Game warned other celebrities about letting Karen watch their children, including one of her other clients, Nas and Kelis. To make sure everyone knew who he was talking about, Game attached a picture of Karen to the post with the tagline “Beware if this person is watching your children! She is a very dangerous babysitter.” Karen is seeking unspecified damages. He should have just kept her name and picture out of it and now that ninja has to lose some of those coins. This is probably why 50 kicked him out of G-Unit…ninja has no loyalty and likes to put people on blast.
