An Illinois mother shot and killed her 10-month-old baby daughter at point blank range while a horrified neighbor looked on. She then turned the gun on herself in a chilling murder-suicide that left five people dead. According To RadarOnline reports : Sara McMeen, 30, was found dead at her home in the small farming town of Emington on Friday afternoon. Livingston County Coroner Michael Burke said that the woman’s two older children; Skyler Lemke, 8, Ian Lemke, 7, and her live-in boyfriend, Daniel Warren, 29, had been murdered as well. Warren was the father of McMeen’s infant daughter Maggie. Sheriff Martin Meredith revealed that a semi-automatic pistol was recovered at the scene and called the situation “very gut-wrenching.” A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, told the Pontiac Daily Reader that she heard around five gunshots around 2.30pm and ran outside to see what was going on. “I saw my neighbor in the back yard and she was wrapping her baby daughter in a blanket on the ground,” the woman recalled. “At first I thought maybe she had been startled and dropped her daughter. I asked her if everything was OK. She said, ‘No, everything is not OK.’ “She was standing over the baby and she bent at the waist and shot point-blank. I instinctively ran. I just couldn’t believe it.” Neighbors revealed that the young family had only moved into the area a few months ago and that while the children were delightful, they heard arguments sometimes between the two adults. The investigation is continuing. So sad. Sounds like she just lost it. More On Bossip! More Basketball Wives Beef!!! The delayed For Your Entertainment follow-up sees Lambert working with the likes of Dr. Luke and Bruno Mars. By James Montgomery Adam Lambert Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images He’s already referred to it as his “dream” album and as “existential pop,” but now we know what Adam Lambert will actually be calling his sophomore album: Trespassing. That’s according to a press release sent out by his label, RCA, which not only announced the title of Lambert’s follow-up to For Your Entertainment but revealed that the much-delayed disc would finally be hitting stores on March 20. The news came one day after Lambert unveiled a snippet of the album’s first single, “Better Than I Know Myself.” Lambert serves as executive producer on the new album, which he describes as “an exciting journey through the past two years of my life. It’s been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I’ve experienced. All these songs honestly explore the ups and downs of my reality.” He also co-wrote most of the record, collaborating with a (seriously) loaded roster of talented hitmakers that includes Dr. Luke, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers and Claude Kelly. And while his Glamberts will still have to wait until March to hear Trespassing, the simple fact that there’s an actual release date for the album is probably good enough for now, given that for months it looked like the album might not come out at all. In November, Lambert spoke to The Advocate about the delays that had beset the project, which included some, uh, issues with RCA and a whole lot of tinkering to make his new songs right. “I don’t know how other artists do it, but for this project, I’m adopting the mentality of ‘just keep writing and keep recording as much as possible,’ ” he said. “And then when we know that we’re ready to decide which tracks are going to be on the album, we’ll look at everything and narrow it down.” Related Artists Adam Lambert
Singer is reportedly engaged to marry boyfriend Jason Trawick. By Jocelyn Vena Jason Trawick and Britney Spears Photo: Steve Granitz/WireImage Could it be that Britney Spears is ready to walk down the aisle again? After a report surfaced on TMZ that the singer’s longtime beau and “Criminal” co-star Jason Trawick planned to pop the question Friday night (December 16) in Las Vegas, the singer took to Twitter early Friday and had this mysterious message for her fans. “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for,” she wrote . “Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo” A rep for the singer hadn’t responded to MTV News’ request for comment by press time. TMZ further reports that Jason asked Britney’s dad, Jamie, for his daughter’s hand before he popped the question. According to reports, Britney already knew about the engagement and the couple will sign a prenuptial agreement. As for her conservatorship, her conservators have signed off on the couple’s plans to marry; a judge will most likely give them the go-ahead to tie the knot. A source tells Usmagazine.com that Trawick asked his lady love to marry him on Thursday night while the two were at a romantic dinner celebrating his 40th birthday. The couple will celebrate the engagement at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Friday. “This is something they’ve both wanted for a long time,” the source told the site. “It’s a way to cement their family. They’re both extremely happy and can’t wait to become man and wife.” While there’s no confirmation from Spears’ camp just yet about the engagement, Spears did reveal something on Twitter: what she bought Jason for his birthday. “Hbday Jason! He looked so cool in the video, that I had to get him a new motorcycle,” she wrote. “Check out this new Confederate Bike I got him!” Related Videos Get Inside Britney Spears’ ‘Criminal’ Related Photos A History Of Britney Spears At The VMAs The Evolution Of: Britney Spears Related Artists Britney Spears
Look who’s got words to say in his defense all of a sudden. Almost four months after pleading guilty to having unlawful sex with a minor and being sentenced to less than a year in prison , Shane Sparks has written an open-letter to the world to let us all know he really wasn’t responsible for taking advantage of a 12-year-old. To the dance industry, peers and fans, “Within the last few years of my life I have encountered many difficulties, all while being unable to freely speak and share my side of the story. The truth of the matter is that when I was in my early twenties, over 17 years ago, I began seeing a young lady who I thought at the time was of age. She was an employee at (a well known Los Angeles) dance studio, where I was a dance instructor. My biggest regret and mistake was not making sure that she was over 18 when I began a physical relationship with her. This young lady’s mother was fully aware and knew that her daughter and I were seeing one another, and consented to the relationship, while leading me to believe that her daughter was older. Nevertheless, I apologize to her and her daughter for any harm I may have caused them. For a few years now, I’ve had to deal with the public humiliation and personal strife of being condemned by heinous and false accusations. The case is now over and I was eventually charged and convicted of one count of having sexual relations with a minor, and my punishment was to engage in counseling, which I have already began, and I may have to complete four months in a private jail facility. After my case was over, TMZ released an inaccurate story stating that there were six other ladies who had been assaulted by me which is completely false. Statements by my attorney and the prosecuting attorney from the District Attorney’s Office will confirm how false and misleading TMZ’s story was. I am disappointed and hurt that TMZ would report such a false story without first checking the facts, by contacting the District Attorney’s Office. Deputy District Attorney: Alison A.W. Meyers wrote a legal statement proving that I was cleared of TMZ’s accusations stating that other minors came forward as victims. “While the case was pending against Mr. Sparks, no other chargeable victims ever came forward to discuss with me any allegations of the defendant having (sexual encounters) with them when they were underage.” – DDA Alison A.W. Meyers I am taking all the necessary steps to move towards a positive path and clear my name so I may be remembered as a man of faith, and a talented dancer/choreographer, and leave behind a legacy my loved one’s can be proud of. I can only hope that people will finally hear my side of the story and be forgiving instead of believing false accusations that the media highlights. I would like to thank my family, friends, and supporters for standing by my side and providing me with their strength during this trying time in my life. I love you all, and will be forever grateful.” -Shane Sparks Yeah… you know what? Maybe you should have lead with this in 2009 when you first got popped. And if you had the consent of the mother of your underage girlfriend who looked six years older than she was, why would your lawyer let you cop a plea instead of fighting to defend yourself? Source

Amy Winehouse’s life, while tragic, would make an amazing movie. The rise to stardom, the drugs, the disaster that is Blake Fielder-Civil, the late night melees and most of all the music … it’d be brilliant if the right woman played her. Rumors are swirling that Lady Gaga herself covets that very role. And better yet, Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, supposedly gave his stamp of approval on the casting: “I have heard Lady Gaga is keen to play Amy in a film,” the elder Winehouse is quoted as telling the U.K.’s Mirror . “I don’t know what her English accent is like.” “It’s not just an English accent she would have to perfect – it’s an English-Cockney-Jewish accent so she better start practicing now. But she would be great.” When this triggered a firestorm of speculation, Mitch later walked it back. “I never said Lady Gaga will play Amy in film,” Mitch himself Tweeted, later claiming that his daughter’s story ” will never be told in film ,” and adding: “It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we’d never allow the songs to be released.” Really? Not even a few years down the line? It’d be great, Mitch. Think about it. Speaking of Winehouse’s music, her new album was released last week.
This crazy bird: A 66-year-old grandmother is under arrest after police say she shot her estranged son-in-law because of an ongoing custody battle he and her daughter were having over the pair’s young son. The victim, Salvatore Miglino of Boca Raton, had his cell phone recording the entire time, and the audio was key to the investigation of the Wednesday shooting in Broward County, Fla. The incident unfolded when Miglino, 39, went to pick up his 3-year-old son for a scheduled visit. His mother-in-law, Cheryl Hepner, stood outside the home with the toddler’s pillow and bag. “According to him, when he asked for the things, she instead pulled out a handgun and starts firing shots,” according to Dani Moschella, a spokeswoman for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Miglino was shot twice with a .22 caliber Beretta handgun. The bullets hit him in the shoulder and rib cage. Even though he was injured, he pounced and wrestled the gun away from Hepner, then drove away while calling for help, police said. But it turns out that Hepner, too, had called police, with a different version of events. When she was asked by the 911 dispatcher about whether she or Miglino pulled the gun, Hepner replied: “No, he pulled it on me and he’s got it. He drove away,” according to an audio recording of the call. She also mentions to the dispatcher that he and her daughter were in “the middle of a horrible divorce.” But in the recording on Miglino’s iPhone told a different story. Fifty-eight seconds into the recording, three gunshots are heard. Then Miglino can be heard saying: “I can’t believe you did that. I can’t believe you did that … I can’t believe you f***ing shot me.” Miglino told the 911 operator that he had his phone recording his visit because “I knew something stupid was going to happen, but we’re going through a divorce and trying to settle.” “Mrs. Hepner told authorities that [Miglino] pulled a gun on her so it was in fact the exact opposite of what had happened,” Moschella said. “As evidence goes, that was a gem.
