Continuing her winning steak, Taylor Swift, dazzling in a gold gown, took home top honors at Sunday night’s American Music Awards as the artist of the year. “This is one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me,” the singer, who also won that in 2009, said. “Thank you to the fans. Please, never change.” Swift was also recognized as the favorite country female artist (a foregone conclusion), and her 2010 record Speak Now was dubbed the top country album. The audience at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre was treated to a star-studded night of electronic, explosive, backing track-assisted performances, closed out by LMFAO. The group delivered an appropriate medley of “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy And I Know It,” featuring a dance cameo by none other than Justin Bieber. Since when does a baby shower include brawling house husbands? It looks like that’s the way they do things in Atlanta, or at least on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. “Shower the Baby” gave Kim a baby shower to rival most wedding receptions and we’ll break down the drama in The Hollywood Gossip’s weekly +/- review. But first we have to sift through the boring stuff … Looks like Sheree’s building herself a new McMansion but she’s being practical. It will only have the necessities: a ballroom, a spa area, a space for the DJ and a theater. Just the basics. Plus 8 because she’s planned ahead. There’s enough room to expand later if 8,000 square feet becomes too cramped. NeNe and estranged husband Gregg have a quick and awkward chat when he comes to pick up their son. NeNe wants to know if he’s dating anyone. He says no but then she won’t answer the same question. Minus 5 . If you’re going to ask the question, expect to have to answer it. Once he’s gone, NeNe admits she doesn’t think she can sign the divorce papers. Minus 7 . Well where does that leave them? They certainly don’t seem happy so will they continue to live in limbo or head back to a miserable marriage? Apollo’s on edge these days and even adorable little Aiden can’t seem to make it better. He got pulled over and roughed up by the cops. Sounds like it was all a case of mistaken identity and he was let go but that hasn’t stopped the gossip from spreading all over town. Unfortunately, his criminal record is something he’s always going to have to deal with. What I can’t handle are Phaedra’s sweatpants: hot pink with HIS printed across the butt. Girl, that’s just tacky. Minus 5 . Cynthia gets a visit from her daughter’s daddy, Peter and Plus 10 for everyone getting along so well but I have to wonder how long it will last. Peter just doesn’t seem the type who goes out of his way to get along with people. Which brings us to Kim’s baby shower. She says she wants to make the shower special for Kroy. Really? How many guys are that interested in baby showers? Of course this was no ordinary shower. Wasn’t Kim the one who said that Phaedra’s shower was over the top. Pot … meet kettle. Minus 8 . With 130 guests this baby shower rivaled most wedding receptions. But I’ve got to throw in a Plus 5 . I loved that cake. Prior to the shower we saw the entire family getting ready. How cute was Kroy doing the girls’ nails. Plus 10 . Just plain adorable. Overall, the baby shower is quite an event. Minus a mildly embarrassing incident where Kim’s father gives Phaedra a hard sell on his business (awkward), everything is gorgeous and classy. Plus 13 . That is until Cynthia and Peter show up. First off, they show up five hours late. Minus 11 . What was the point of coming at all and without a gift, no less? Had to agree with Phaedra on this one. “Were they looking for refreshments? Were they out of snacks at their house?” And it only gets worse from there. Turns out Peter trashed the ladies in a magazine interview. Minus 10 . Honestly, what man talks about his wife’s friends in an interview? One who knows that’s the only way he can grab the spotlight and more than willing to stir up trouble. Phaedra was the first to bring up the gorilla in the room and things went down hill from there. Peter walked in with a chip on his shoulder and Apollo looked like he was more than willing to knock it off. If Peter keeps poking that bear he might find it bites back and I don’t think he can take on Apollo. After some loud words and male posturing, it looks like Apollo walks away first. It may have been a lot of drama for a normal baby shower but the Housewives of Atlanta need to take a look at The Real Housewives of New Jersey if they want some real drama. Here, we had no cursing, table flipping, punches thrown, or children sent screaming from the room. Minus 15 because in comparison you can’t really call this one a brawl. You gotta love it when pretty girls with low self-esteem find perspective after a dude who should have never had her fawks her head up… Despite having a new gig on NBC’s “The Voice,” poor Christina Milian’s divorce situation continues to be the most interesting thing she’s got popping. And in a recent interview with Hello Beautiful, she says that after everything that’s happened, she and Teddy Ruxpin are having absolutely no problem co-parenting. We have a mutual friendship and we communicate very well with each other. We both have very busy schedules but it’s working out very well. With all the drama, I just wanted us to be cool because at the end of the day all that matters is our daughter. It’s worked out well now since all the media is out of our business. I mean, we’re going to be in each other’s lives forever because of our daughter, by choice, because he doesn’t HAVE to be present, but he chooses to be. We have a great speaking relationship, and I’m grateful for that. Oh, what a great child support/alimony settlement can do for life. But the fact that she and Terius are friends now does not mean C-Milli is back on the market. I’m enjoying being on my own and have been that way for about a year and some change. I’m pretty much not open to dating. I think I’m just spending time on me. I’ve been from relationship to relationship my whole life. I think the most time I’ve spent in between a relationship was like two months and then I was right back to like a three-year relationship. I have all the love I need right here from my daughter and I’m very protective over her because now when I do decide to date it will not only affect me but my daughter as well. Emily Bustamante aka Emily B. aka Fab’s “Baby Mama” aka the chick he wouldn’t claim after 8 years together spent most of the first season of “Love & Hip-Hop” in tears over his a$$. The new season of “Love & Hip-Hop” kicks off tonight and we’re hopeful she’s got drier eyes this time around. In the meantime, Crème Magazine has relaunched a new section called THE VIP LIST where celebrities, icons and personalities share their world in their own words. Contributors like Danny Simmons, CNN Correspondent Ryan Mack, Mike B and many others will be joined by a few ladies from Love & Hip Hop. Over the course of season 2 they have a few surprise contributors from the show. First up, is Emily Bustamante who opens up about Faboluous and her healing: On Healing, One Step At A Time I always say that I’m not the best person for advice. Don’t ask me! [laughs] It really feels good to have women come up to me and say, “I watch your story, and I could relate to you so much. I was going through the same thing.” And these are regular women and their men have regular jobs. They weren’t even in this world of hip hop. And that was so powerful to me, because I was like wow, my story is actually impacting other people’s lives. My thing is, if I can do it, anybody can do it. Because I just thought that my life couldn’t exist without him. He was my everything. And I realized that once I let him go, you know, so many other things– great things– came to me. A whole new world opened up for me. And both of us changed from it. So sometimes you have to make some changes in your life. To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did. And that’s what I had to do, and it was for the better. My life is so different now, and I’m happy. It’s just been a great journey, and hopefully someone else can learn from my mistakes. I have my moments. And I can sit here and say, I do still love him. My love for him didn’t change. But I love me more. And I love my children more. And I know that I have to focus on that. Love doesn’t go away, but sometimes you just have to let it go. And it just made a lot of things around me much stronger. I focused on my career. When you’re in a relationship sometimes and you’re going through it, you kind of forget about everything else that needs to happen in your life. I just focused on my clothing line. And that’s my man [laughs]. You know, that’s my baby. And I put all my energy into that. And really, just having a goal, or maybe a hobby, or just focusing on something else, really helped me. My clothing line is definitely something that keeps me busy, and it keeps my thoughts on that. Because [healing] is definitely a long process, and it takes a lot of work. And if your mind ain’t right, there’s no way in the world that you can accomplish something like that. So, I had to get my mind right. Writing is another passion of mine. I empty my thoughts in my writing, and it’s usually about love [laughs]. Sounds like a whole lot of truth there. Change is hard but some changes are necessary in order to grow. It seems like Emily B. has grown a whole lot, but at the end of the day only time will tell if this change is permanent or just temporary. Cuz we all know how open she is off that guy riiiiight? The beautiful and multi-talented, Christina Milian , has been a little under the radar lately after the news of her very public divorce from The Dream hit the media. Since then, Christina has been working hard on her new album and as the new social media correspondent on “The Voice”. With all these new projects that Ms. Milian is working on, we had to catch up with her to see just what has she been up to lately! Take a look at my exclusive interview with Christina where we chatted about her new album, dealing with her divorce in the public and moving on. How does she run in those heels? HelloBeautiful: How did you get the gig as the social media correspondent with “The Voice”? Christina Milian: I guess they were looking for someone to fill that role. They wanted someone that could relate to the celebrity coaches and the music industry. They wanted someone who could connect all the dots. Social media has had a huge affect on their fan base. With the following that I have and the fan base that I have, they felt it would be a good connection to have me come on board. They came to me and we had this great meeting and then I was there the next week! It happened that fast. It’s pretty exciting. Its fun. I have the coolest job. All I have to do is tweet and shoot interviews and be myself. I feel so blessed that I don’t have to go out of my way to do what I love. HB: What are you bringing to the table this season? Christina Milian: I like to help edit the videos and give fine tuning detail and bring the personality to it. It’s one thing to ask the basics but having been in this situation that the contestants are in, it’s easier to bring your own experience to the table. HB: What kind of advice would you give to anyone looking to follow in your footsteps whether it be singing or acting or anything that you’re doing in your career? Christina Milian: First off the biggest lesson is patience because it doesn’t happen overnight. The best thing to do is connect with a specific idol. I wanted to be like Janet Jackson and Madonna so I paid attention to their careers. Pay attention to their history and study the people you love and then study the people they studied. I think that’s the best advice. HB: Now, we have to get into the juicy stuff! How has it been living your life so publicly with the birth of your daughter and then your very public divorce? Christina Milian: You know, I’ve been doing it for so long that now, it comes with the territory. Certain things are crazy. There are things in my life that have been private and when it comes time to explain them, no one can believe it. When you live your life in front of a camera it’s not the easiest thing, but people are relying on you to help them get through the same thing. It’s actually motivating in a way. You have to accept it. People always think I call the paparazzi! I’m like “look, I live in LA they are EVERYWHERE!” I mean they pop out of bushes! So I’ve accepted it. It’s my life. It’s like having a spy on you 24/7 so it keeps you in check and in line from doing anything stupid. But I’m still human and I still make mistakes. I used to let it affect me but now I’m just like, nobody is living my life but me. At the end of the day, I have to live for me. I don’t mind. I’ve gained a lot of respect and support especially from women. They have helped be my backbone. HB: Speaking of that situation, how are things with you and Dream now? Do you still talk? Christina Milian: We have a mutual friendship and we communicate very well with each other. We both have very busy schedules but it’s working out very well. Christina Milian: (Laughing) You have to discuss that with him! I mean, he’s an amazing writer and I’ll give him credit for that. I do believe that he’s taking pieces from all his relationships and making them into songs. He’s very creative in his writing and he’s speaking for a lot of men. I think when Dream writes, he writes about everything and he’s also adding what the fans what to hear: the realness. I mean, I’m not the only one in this situation that has a Mercedes car and for second everybody was like “did you hear this?!” and I started thinking that people might think these songs were about me. I called him and talked to him about it, and he basically told me that at the end of the day we’re both creative people and we dated publicly so of course they’re going to point the finger at you but we both know that these things aren’t true. But since all eyes were on us during our relationship, it’s natural for people to look at me. HB: Are you dating anyone new? Are there any artists that you would like to work with that you haven’t already work with before? Christina Milian: I would love to work with Chris brown, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West- we actually did a demo in the past that never came out, so I would love to work with him again. And Rihanna, I would LOVE to work with her. HB: Are you working on any new projects that we should be aware of? Christina Milian: I am working on a new album. Its just a lot of business matters I’ve been trying to clean up. I took some time off after having the baby and trying to find my new sound so now I think I’m in a good place. I’m always traveling and meeting new people, so I’m definitely in a place of moving forward in my career rather than making music just to make it. Trust me, your girl is working hard! And now the questions we always ask… Whats in your bag? My iPad. I went to the dentist today so I have this sleeping guard retainer thing. My Crooks and Castle sunglasses, Mac 3d glass lip gloss and my little red Cannon camera If you were forced to get a tattoo what would it be of and why? I have a bunch of tattoos but if I was forced I would get the quote, “live the life” because it’s my motto. I love to live. You have to be free. I have freedom on my wrist so I think that I would put that quote on me somewhere. Whats your vice and where do u go to get it? Food and shoes! But shoes definitely. I have my share of Louboutins. You can go to the actual store and get the best ones and there’s another store out here that has some great choices. Whats one urge you get but never act on it? To be aggressive with a guy and be like, “hey this is this and this is that and peace out!” But I don’t have the guts to do that because they would know who I am and it would just be all bad! (laughing) When was the last time you cried? Recently in church. I cried and I actually became a member of the church that day. It was a great message and I feel really good in my life and I feel really proud of myself because of all I’ve been going through. I’ve been going to this church for about a year and I have faith and believe in God so the message really spoke to me. I was amazed.
