Everyone is really stepping it up (or at least trying) on The Real Housewives of New Jersey this week. THG recaps it all in our +/- review … Teresa’s doing photo shoots for her second book and the entire family is involved. Between Joe complaining, Teresa whining, the kids screaming, and the parents looking somewhere between bored and annoyed, it’s the photo shoot that just won’t end. The photographers earn a Plus 9 because I’m guessing they had no idea what they were getting themselves into and they still managed some decent shots. Rich is an idiot. Victoria is 16 and Rich is telling Kathy not to talk to her about sex. Personally I think that shouldn’t be one talk but an ongoing conversation and either way it’s completely overdo. Rich seems to think that if Kathy talks to her about sex, that will put the idea in the girl’s head. Minus 15 for taking naivete way too far. Then Kathy decides to have said conversation with her daughter in the middle of a store. Oye. Minus another 5 for not making this a private conversation. And those dresses Victoria’s trying on for her junior prom are terrible. They’re either too tight, too short, or completely gaudy.

Ah, ah, ahhhh not so fast… A Florida judge on Monday signed amended court documents mandating that Casey Anthony return to Orlando to serve a year of probation stemming from her check fraud conviction. “From my reading of this, she should be reporting to probation in Orlando probably within 72 hours,” Orange County Circuit Judge Stan Strickland said in signing the documents, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The action came after an apparent misunderstanding in the case. Anthony pleaded guilty in January 2010 to felony check fraud charges, admitting she stole a checkbook from her friend Amy Huizenga and wrote five checks totaling $644.25. At the time, defense attorney Jose Baez asked that Anthony be given credit for time served and be placed on probation. Strickland apparently intended for the supervised probation to begin after Anthony’s release from custody, said Randy Means, spokesman for the Orange County State Attorney’s Office. But the order signed by Strickland at the time seemed to indicate it was to run while she was in custody awaiting trial on murder charges in the 2008 death of her daughter Caylee. Two weeks after the actor’s ex-wife jetted down to Mexico for a controversial attempt to get sober (via Ibogaine, a drug that’s illegal in the United States), we have an update on Mueller’s condition and whereabouts: She’s back in the United States, undergoing treatment recommended, and paid for, by Sheen. The relationship between Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller is more complicated then the plot of Inception . Sources tell TMZ that Sheen was worried about Brooke’s Mexican adventure, flew down in a private jet to pick her up and brought her to an undisclosed location in America. He has also hired the same doctors for Mueller that helped him clean up following the incidents that led to his Two and a Half Men firing earlier this year. Expect more rumors of a reconciliation between this former couple to heat up as a result of Sheen’s actions.
The late Amy Winehouse was readying to adopt a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia at the time of her death, the girl and her grandmother told a UK paper. Dannika Augustine says she met Amy during one of her long visits to the Caribbean island over the past couple of years. Amy often went there for R&R. She says she was living in poverty with her single mom when Winehouse took an interest in her, and that the two remain close from that point on. A-Dubs during one of her lengthy stints in St. Lucia . Dannika tells The Sunday Mirror , “Amy was already my mother.” “I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter. She took care of me and we had fun. I loved her and she loved me … She was the most amazing person and I was looking forward to living with her here or in London.” “This is the worst thing that ever happened to me.” This is not a tabloid fabrication. Dannika’s grandmother, Marjorie, says she was on board with this plan, and she spoke to Amy a few weeks ago about it. Marjorie says Amy planned to return to St. Lucia next month, and that “Amy wanted to have a child so bad …. If she had not died, there is no doubt she would be here in St Lucia completing the adoption process.” “There is no way she would have done what she did to herself if Dannika was with her,” she adds. “I cannot believe she is gone.” Given how Amy Winehouse died , it’s hard to believe sending a 10-year-old girl to live with the Back to Black singer would have benefited anyone, as she seemed largely incapable of taking care of herself, let alone a minor. Nevertheless, it’s tragic for Dannika to lose someone she was apparently so close to. Both of Dannika’s parents had signed off on the adoption. Yet another sad chapter in the untimely death of one of the great singers of our time.
