June 23, 2011 at 5:45 PM. The day that my whole life changed. June 21st my friend came to me and said, “OH! Guess what? I am going to the Justin Bieber Someday launch in NYC at Macy’s and I am aloud to bring a friend, would you like to come? We get to meet Justin and everything”. (Now let me tell you I have been a Belieber for the longest time and I knew he was coming out with a perfume) The moment that she asked me, I became speechless, I started sweating, hyperventilating, and crying. She asked me if that considered as a “yes” and as loud as I can I screamed “YES” jumping up and down out of excitement. Two days later on Thursday, June 23 2011, I woke up at 9:00 just to get ready. We were taking the 3:00 train, but I knew I had to look perfect for Justin. I spent all day picking out clothing and doing my hair. We got to NYC and walked 3-5 blocks as I hear my pink converse slapping the wet ground and millions of girls running around us. We FINALLY reached Macy’s as I saw lines and lines of girls outside, screaming and crying. We got special VIP passes so we zipped through those lines. Finally, we took 7 escalators up to the 8th floor where we were greeted by these two girls. They both worked backstage for Justin. They gave us 2 VIP bracelets and opened HUGE doors. I walked in and my heart was beating so fast that I thought I was going to faint. They were playing loud Justin Bieber music and there were a ton of girls waiting to meet Justin. We got addressed to a VIP line but they said that they were going to let the girls that were waiting outside all night to meet him first. First we approached Kenny. We talked for a little and we took pictures, then they made us get back on the line. Funny enough right next to the line, was Dave Renyolds. We talked for the longest time cause we were waiting on the line for like 2 hours. We were also standing behind this very famous Mets player and his daughter and wife (of course I forgot his name). Finally the VIP line started moving. My party got instructed to a little white tent which was right before the stage to meet Justin. The Met’s guy’s family went first so we were standing in that tent for a while. There was a little curtain to lead to the other tent, so I looked through. In there was Pattie, Scooter, and his other workers sitting. We waved “Hi” and they pulled us away from the curtain. They said “GO” as they pushed us out the curtain and there RIGHT THERE was standing Justin Bieber. I felt like my heart was going to drop on the floor in front of me. He looked ADORABLE! He was wearing bright red Supras, black skinny jeans, a black under shirt, and a black vest. He looked super cute with his new haircut and his David Yurmen necklace. I walked up and he greeted us with “Hey guys!” and as he put his arm around my shoulder to take a picture, I felt like I was going to MELT. We saw flashing lights every where and then they stopped and screamed “COME ON GUYS, NEXT!” But I could not take that for an answer. I said “May I please have a huge, I love you so much!” and he responded with “Of course you can sweetheart!” At that moment I gave him the best bear hug ever. I let go (not to be weird) and screamed “THANK YOU SO MUCH” and ran off the stage. I was greeted by Scooter who escorted us out. “Thank you so much!” I said. “No problem” Scooter said with a nice smile. A spokesperson for the rapper (born Earl Simmons) confirmed his release to MTV News and hinted that the end of X’s latest stint behind bars will hopefully mark a new beginning for the troubled MC. “Earl has so much more to offer the world,” manager Nakia Walker said in a statement announcing X’s release. “His latest project has been on hold for so long! It is now time for X to redefine the world of Hip-Hop with his highly anticipated album of inspirational, painful & street accredited rhymes. It is time to let the Dog out of the kennel.” “I spoke to my daughter, I just got off the phone with my wife,” DMX told AllHipHop.com following his release. “I’m going to go see my daughter while the sun is up, then I’m going to be in the studio, man.” Though the Yonkers, New York, native’s music career has been stalled out for much of the past eight years due to legal and drug issues, he has signed a label deal with UMMG (United Music & Media Group), and Walker has promised “extraordinary things happening from rapper DMX over the next couple months that include collaborations with major names in the music industry.” DMX was slated for release last week after serving seven months of his one-year sentence — including credit for 100 days behind bars while awaiting trial — but was held over for an extra week due to several minor infractions, including refusal to submit to a drug test and smoking in unauthorized areas. Singer opened up to MTV News about trying to capture ‘different moments in love.’ By Jocelyn Vena Jennifer Lopez Photo: MTV News For fans wondering what went wrong with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony in the wake of their split , perhaps they should look no further than the title of Lopez’s last album, Love?. In the lead-up to its release, Lopez spoke to MTV News about how she was examining her relationships on the record. She also admitted she has always questioned the true meaning of love. “I’m excited for everyone to hear all of the album, but I think in particular some of the songs like ‘What Is Love?,’ ‘One Love,’ ‘Run the World,’ ‘Papi,’ ‘Starting Over,’ especially,” she told us at an album-release event in Los Angeles in May. “They all express different moments in love and that’s what this album was about. You know, sometimes it’s difficult, sometimes it’s amazing, sometimes overwhelming, sometimes you just don’t know what to do. And I hope that I captured all of that on this album.” Lopez has explored the topic of love since the start of her career, beginning with her first single, “If You Had My Love,” a tune that questions the nature of her beau’s affections. She went on to sing about the inner workings of love on tracks like “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” On Love?, Lopez’s feelings about the emotion are all over the place, maybe giving us some insight about what she was dealing with in her personal life in the months before it was released. In the spring, Lopez explained why she was excited for fans to hear the album: “some of them ’cause they’re straight club bangers, some because of what they have to say and some because of how they make you groove. ‘It’s not like anybody had sex with each other’s wives,’ the Blink guitarist says in new interview. By James Montgomery Blink-182 Photo: Jeff Kravitz/Film Magic He kept his silence about it at the time, but now that the great Blink-182 breakup is ancient history, Tom DeLonge is revealing details of the tension that forced the hugely successful act apart in early 2005. In an interview with BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe on Monday, DeLonge expressed regret over Blink’s four-year hiatus and blamed external pressures (or, as he put it, “the machine”) for contributing to the split. “The reason the band broke up was really stupid in the first place; it’s not like anybody had sex with each other’s wives,” DeLonge said. “Though, for how bad we hated each other, that should have been what happened. “The band got so big that the machine running the band took over. We were burnt out, we needed a break, but the machine won’t let you do that,” he continued. “The band had stopped communicating because the machine was so big.” In 2005 — just eight months after Blink announced they were going on “indefinite hiatus” — DeLonge hinted at those tensions in an interview with MTV News , saying that he and his bandmates had grown apart and now had “mad different” priorities in life. “My priority was my family, and my life had to be structured in a way where I had to be around for my daughter … and they wanted to keep touring, and it didn’t work out to where our priorities were the same,” he said. “The last words that were said to me by my bandmembers were, ‘If your family is going to be your priority, then you better be cool with the repercussions.’ … I think there was a lot of paranoia and a lot of bitterness between all of us.” But DeLonge told Lowe that all the drama has long been forgotten, and that now, he and his Blink mates are focused solely on their new album, Neighborhoods, which he called their “best work by far.” “The album’s amazing … it’s very modern, very relevant to rock music today,” he said. “But we made sure to throw a couple of songs in there that sound like they’re from the mid-’90s. Casey Anthony became a free woman early Sunday morning. Just after midnight, wearing blue jeans and a bright pink top, and with hundreds of protesters heckling her, the 25-year-old walked out of the front door of the Orange County Booking and Release Center in Orlando, Fla. With her were attorney Jose Baez and two sheriff’s deputies: Casey Anthony Release With the cash from her supporters and a police escort into a gray SUV, Anthony drove her into the hot Florida night, her destination unknown. “She had a look of relief on her face,” said photographer Tony Zumbado. “There was a smile on her face. She looked glad to be out of there.” Most people were not decidedly unhappy she’s out of there. An angry crowd of more than 300 people had formed outside the jail. Police on horseback tried to maintain control of the vitriolic mob scene. “Casey, rot in hell!” one person screamed at Anthony. “You killed your daughter, Casey!” shouted another. That person is far from alone in that belief, but a jury concluded that based on the evidence presented, prosecutors couldn’t prove she did it. Casey was arrested, tried and acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee. The highly unpopular verdict shocked the public and has resulted in many death threats for Anthony and those close to her. Anthony’s future whereabouts and plans are unclear.
