Asked what it was like dating Selena Gomez, the gallant Bieber responded, “Anybody would be lucky to date her!” When a fan asked Justin, 16, his favorite shooting the film, Justin replied, “Going to my hometown of Stratford, Ontario, Canada to hangout with my buds.” What was the weirdest part of the movie? Justin answered, “When one fan very firmly said, ‘We WILL be husband and wife!’ Justin was also very modest and said he had a hard time seeing his face so big in the theater. One thing HollywoodLife.com was wondering was why the film — which showed so many fascinating aspects of his life — didn’t show Justin doing his homework, which we had heard he always does on his tour bus. The director of the film, John Chu explained it to us exclusively, saying, “There were shots of him doing homework in the movie but they were really small because I wasn’t allowed in there when he was doing school work most of the time. It was hard for me to get those shots in.” He also revealed to us what really motivates Justin. “He is really motivated by music it was hard to get him to focus, because for him, it really is all about the music,” he said. When we caught up with Scooter Braun, Justin’s manager and producer of the film, he had this message for HollywoodLife.com’s readers: “I dare anyone who isn’t a fan to come see this movie and tell me what you think. By Kara Warner Halle Berry Photo: Valerie Macon/AFP/Getty Images Early Monday (January 31), it was announced that Halle Berry had dropped out of the upcoming “Valentine’s Day” sequel “New Year’s Eve” and would be replaced by Katherine Heigl . Hours later, Berry’s rep told People magazine that the Oscar winner’s departure is due to Berry’s upcoming custody battle with model ex Gabriel Aubry over their 2-year-old daughter, Nahla. “Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her,” her rep told the magazine. “She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention.” Berry’s rep did not divulge what prompted the dispute, only that the “Frankie and Alice” actress is concerned for Nahla’s well-being. “Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority,” the rep added. “Both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their breakup, Halle has only acted in her daughter’s best interest.” Berry and Aubry met at a Versace event in 2006 and were together for four years before splitting in April 2010. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools athletics director Vicki Hamilton said school officials will wait until Monday to decide on what action to take following Fridayâs incident during the Butler at East Mecklenburg basketball doubleheader. Following a blowout win by Butlerâs girls, a parent of a Butler High starter was arrested after getting into a fight with a school resource officer. The incident was captured on video by WCNC, Channel 36, which was at the game filming highlights for its âFriday Night Frenzyâ highlights show. According to reports from the game and the video, a fight broke out between the father and the officer. Then the manâs wife jumped in, along with the daughter, and began hitting the officer on the head. Sources say the incident started after the officer asked the player to sit on the Butler side of the gym. Several East Mecklenburg girls’ players transferred to Butler this season and the schools have a long rivalry. Hamilton said with school being out and the police report (as of early Saturday) not written, it would be hard to sort through all the information necessary to address the situation. Hamilton said school officials will meet Monday and determine what action to take.

Halle Berry isn’t the only one having issues with the father of her child : Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is headed for a nasty custody battle with the father of her 11-month-old daughter Krishna. Baby daddy Adam Dell filed a suit in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday night in an effort to get more time with his child. A lawyer for Adam — the brother of billionaire Dell Inc. founder Michael Dell — says, “He wants to have an active and substantial role in the upbringing of his daughter… Unfortunately, Ms. Lakshmi has severely limited his time with their daughter and has refused to negotiate a reasonable co-parenting agreement. Mr. Dell has tried his best to avoid going to court, but Ms. Lakshmi has given him no other choice at this time.” Padma’s rep shot back: “It appears to us that Mr. Dell remains more interested in garnering media attention than working out details to see Krishna or in her welfare.” SMH at him doing it to “attention whore” vs. actually wanting to spend time with his child.
