The Houston singer is refusing to hand over documents and private texts between her husband Jay-Z and mother Tina Lawson that the wedding planner believe would help her case. The Blast reports : According to documents obtained by The Blast, Veronica Morales has requested a list of documents and communications from Beyoncé in their trademark battle. Morales wants Beyoncé to turn over all documents showing any evidence she planned to actually use the trademark “Blue Ivy” (since Morales doesn’t believe the singer ever planned to use it) and any samples of her intent to use the name. Morales is also seeking all communications with Jay-Z relating to their 2016 trademark application, any communications of her or Jay-Z knowing about “Blue Ivy” before their daughter was born in February 2012, and any records of convos with Bey and her mother about the mark. Beyoncé has thus far refused to hand over the documents and is demanding a protective order be entered which would prohibit Morales or her legal team from leaking the confidential information. On Friday (March 8), Ms. Wallace reopened the Notoriouss clothing store just across the block from its original location. CBS News reports : T’yanna Wallace, the daughter of Christopher Wallace, better known as the rapper Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, is holding a grand opening for the reopening of her Notoriouss Clothing store on Friday. The store is located in Brooklyn, her and her father’s home borough. Wallace’s initial store opened at 512 Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn in Dec. 2017, the store is moving across the street. Wallace told News 12 in 2017 that she wanted the store to be a “flagship store for streetwear and is heavily inspired by New York and Brooklyn hip hop culture.” Wallace’s father was shot and killed on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles, thus the timing of the reopening appears to be in tribute. Not only fired me while I was in the hospital itself, but then went around telling people in interviews that he came and sat by my bed and cried and stuff like that. Lee Daniels and Donald De Line have been tapped to produce the film via De Line Pictures studio and Tyrese’s Voltron Pictures. Pendergrass’ widow, Joan Pendergrass, is an executive producer. “I am honored to take this journey… this is the role that I feel I was born to play. Teddy Pendergrass embraced me and before he passed put the responsibility on my shoulders to tell his story,” Tyrese told Deadline. “Being here in this time and in this space and moment with Lee Daniels, Donald De Line, Little Marvin and Warner Bros is an answered prayer. Teddy, I just hope we make you, your wife and family proud… Here we go!!” Teddy Pendergrass reached massive success in the 70s and 80s as lead singer of the Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes and his own solo career. In 1982, Pendergrass was severely injured in a car accident that left his paralyzed from the chest down. He would learn how to sing again and eventually perform. He died in 2010.
