Lindsay Lohan Death Watch is Back on of the Day

Just so everyone knows…Lindsay Lohan is playing up this drugged out near death bullshit harder than her father is. She is not going to die. She is not near death. She is probably not even doing drugs. She likes the fact people are talking about her and saying she’s the next to die. She’s milking it as hard as she can and really it’s pretty fucking easy. All she has to do is not shower, fall in public, put white powder in her shoes and get into the fetal position at a Wendy’s drive-through. I know she’s playing this up and I know this is all for attention and if she dies…I will be proven wrong…but as the guy who’s been doing the Lohan Death Watch for the last 3 years…I think I know what I am talking about…. Don’t believe anything you see in Hollywood. Shit is all staged and strategic….Don’t be an idiot even though I know you are a fucking idiot….and for those of you looking to jerk off, just imagine she’s some bitch you got some roofies into and who passed the fuck up in the cab ride you said “you’d share” home with her cuz you “Live in the same neighborhood”, resulting in you getting your way with her in the first Alley you could drag her into… Pics via PacificCoastNews Pics via Fame

Good Charlotte Wanted To ‘Dig Deep’ For Cardiology

Joel and Benji Madden recorded, scrapped, then re-recorded their heartfelt project. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Matt Elias Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden Photo: MTV News Good Charlotte have spent the past 18 months prepping Cardiology, their fifth studio album. The band wrote and recorded an entire album’s worth of material, then, unhappy with the results, decided to scrap the project entirely and start over again from scratch with a new producer at the helm. Needless to say, it’s been a bit of a struggle. The kind of thing that adds years — and, in this case, family members — to people’s lives. “I started this record with one child; now I have two,” smiled frontman Joel Madden, who got engaged to longtime girlfriend Nicole Richie in February.. “And now, the record is like my third child.” The process began with producer Howard Benson, famous for his work with acts like My Chemical Romance and the All-American Rejects. But the Madden brothers weren’t thinking about his pedigree when they listened to some of Benson’s mixes. “We pretty much finished the record [with him],” guitarist Benji Madden said. “And we had to go to Australia to do some TV stuff, and we came back, sat down and listened to a few rough [mixes] and … it just didn’t have that vibe. I didn’t connect with it the way I needed to. When we wrote the songs, I connected to them. They were everything I envisioned them being. It was just that [Benson] didn’t want to try anything. He just didn’t get it. So I was like, ‘We need to throw it away. I never want to hear it again.’ And I never listened to it again. I have the hard drive at my house, and I’m going to destroy it. We don’t have any need for that record.” Dejected, the Maddens met with longtime friend and frequent collaborator Don Gilmore, hoping to get some advice about how to resurrect the project. Instead, Gilmore ended up producing the new sessions, and the difference was startling. “Don said, ‘Maybe we should go up to Vancouver.’ That’s where we did our last record, and so we went up there, and worked with him, and the magic — exactly what I was looking for — happened,” Benji explained. “You could feel it. The thing I was really, really going for on this record was there. And Don knew it too. We both wanted to make something special. When someone puts their headphones on and listens to this record, I want them to feel connected to us, and I want them to feel like they know us.” That’s the reason the album (which is tentatively due in August/September) is called Cardiology : It comes from the heart. And though making it was a struggle, the entire band emerged from the process stronger, closer and — perhaps most important of all — reinvigorated. “We were like, ‘You know, we really want to dig deep on this record, just kind of reconnect with the fans that have been with us the whole way.’ Just kind of let them back in. And that’s what we tried to do,” Benji said. “And we started writing this record, and it really started to mean a lot to me, and I kind of fell in love with being in a band all over again, fell in love with making music all over again, just got real passionate about it.” The brothers say that the result is an album that’s an unabashed ode to the pop-punk acts the band grew up listening to. The kind of stuff they’ve always wanted to play and finally feel liberated enough to do so. “There’s a song that I wrote for my kids that is personally my favorite, ‘Harlowe’s Song.’ But there’s a song I really love called ‘Crash,’ and I don’t know why, but I really love it,” Joel said. “I think it will be great live. There’s an element of pop-punk on this record that’s kind of returned a bit.” “One of my favorites is a song called ‘Silver Screen Romance,’ and it’s totally the Good Charlotte return to pop-punk,” Benji added. “I don’t think we could’ve written this song a few years ago, but it’s a feel-good song. It just sounds like classic Good Charlotte to me.” Related Artists Good Charlotte

Eazy-E, N.W.A ‘Helped Me Understand I Had A Chance,’ Plies Says

Florida native pays tribute to Eazy on the 15th anniversary of N.W.A. founder’s death. By Shaheem Reid Plies and Big Gates Photo: MTV News Plies has long been called a rebel of the music industry, to the extent that some say he embodies the same radical spirit as the members of N.W.A. On Friday (March 26), the 15th anniversary of the death of N.W.A founder Eric “Eazy-E” Wright , Plies and his brother Big Gates reflected on Eazy’s impact. During a visit to MTV News’ offices on Friday, Plies said Eazy and N.W.A.’s music resonates no matter where you’re from. “Being Florida based, where we’ve resided all our life, I look at Florida as the gutter landmark,” Plies said. “I feel that it don’t work in Florida if it ain’t gutta. To see a West Coast group and West Coast artist being embraced in Florida, and on a national level, for me, it’s simple. Coming from the conditions we come from and having anybody represent what you represent and see them win on a national level, it allowed me to understand that I had a chance in music if it was what I chose to do. “I had a chance to accomplish that and do it from a principle-driven way,” he continued. “[Gates and I] say that all the time as brothers and as a company, our principles are non-negotiable. It’s a lot of things we stand for that the business don’t understand right now. We agree that it’s more personal in this business than it is business. At the end of the day, you gotta stand for what you’re trying to represent and reflect. I feel Eazy-E and N.W.A did a helluva job in doing that. I don’t feel like we’re carrying the torch, I feel like we’re trying to stand behind what we’re trying to stand behind. If that’s a way we can be come successful in selling records, cool. If it ain’t, we can look at each other and know we came into the game with our principles and we’re gonna leave the game with our principles.” “I was just listening to a Eazy-E record,” Gates said with a grin. “They started, really, what we’re doing. We looked at them. Even now, we look at them as a influence of what we do. N.W.A speaks for itself. I’m sure you know what it means: N—as With Attitude. You listen to my brother’s music, you see what we representing. I just got out of prison. It’s kinda simple, what we stand for: That’s really what Easy-E brought to the table. He told America, ‘I can say what I wanna say. Speak my mind. Freedom of speech. Regardless of how you feel, what you think I should say, what you think I should wear, I’mma do me.’ I came from a different struggle versus [people in] corporate America. Eazy spoke for me, so I try to make sure me and my brother speak for the people from where we came from.” Check out what the Game and other West Coast rappers had to say about Eazy-E on the 15th anniversary of his death.
