She continues: “I didn’t have anybody who was doing that when I was younger. I grew up in the era of really, really skinny celebrities. That was the look. “And it was cool to be seen partying. Drugs were glamorized, and when I was 12 or 13, nobody [I looked up to] was talking about mental illness. “Nobody was talking about eating disorders. Nobody was talking about cutting. I wanted somebody for my little sister to look up to. “I took on that role because I knew it was important.” We’ve said so many times that we admire Lovato for her candor and the way she has handled these kinds of struggles. She has often answered questions from fans and has always encouraged them to turn to her with any issues to which she can relate. “They’re very emotional. I’ve had people come up to me and say, ‘I was going to kill myself until I got this meet and greet.’ And you’re just like, ‘What?’ “Sometimes I’ll meditate afterwards. Sometimes I’ll just kind of breathe. I used to sage myself. It’s very heavy.” We can only imagine.

The Chicago native is being recognized for his “groundbreaking accomplishments in the music industry and his unsurpassable contributions to social causes.” Chance will receive the Innovator Award for his contributions to social causes as well as his musical accomplishments, particularly through his non-profit organization, SocialWorks. Past honorees include Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, U2 and Bruno Mars. Nominees for the iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on January 10. Artists who have received multiple nominations for this year include Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, DJ Khaled, and Demi Lovato. Camila Cabello is going to be honored with the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award while Bon Jovi will receive the iHeartRadio Icon Award. Some days I feel great and some days I don’t feel great. And sometimes it’s periods of times.” She’s admitted that she’s gained weight — a normal thing for human bodies, but difficult for someone recovering from an eating disorder. “I stopped dieting and have gained a little weight so it’s been a struggle but at the same time, I’m happier because I’m not restricting myself from certain foods and I’m no longer food shaming myself.” That is so good to hear! “As someone recovering from a food disorder, it’s something that I want to put out there that you don’t have to diet in order to be happy.” “I don’t think I’ve heard that message out there in the public and of course, it’s important to be healthy and everything in moderation is fine.” It’s so important to hear her talk about this. Sensible eating and moderation don’t have to look extreme. That applies to everyone, but it’s especially hard for people who struggle with eating disorders to understand. When she says that thick thighs save lives, it’s almost literal — people worried about their thighs not meeting some impossible standard might starve themselves to death or damage their organs in an effort to conform to what they think that they’re supposed to look like. Fans all around the world deserve to have the full Demi Lovato experience. We said that this teaser is more about making an announcement, but she's also flaunting her incredibly sexy look in white lingerie in the process.
