They are not together. Really, truly, Selena Gomez swears : they are not together. But that didn’t stop Justin Bieber from attending a 21st birthday party for Gomez at Revolve Clothing beach house in Malibu last night, as the artist arrived around 9 p.m. for a gypsy-themed bash. And he wasn’t empty-handed. ” Justin flew in specifically for the party on a day off from his tour,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “He wasn’t dressed in costume, but carried a single red rose in his hand.” Other stars in attended included Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev, Derek Hough, Ashley Benson and Jaden Smith, with the onlooker adding that a very good time was had by all. “Everybody danced and had a blast, especially Selena, who was surrounded by her friends,” says the source, adding that Smith helped the birthday girl and Bieber sneak away at one point – and that they were holding hands! Earlier in the week, in an interview with Good Morning America, Selena reiterated that she was single. But added she would always care about and protect Bieber .

Who advanced to the final eight on Dancing With the Stars? After performances by Selena Gomez’s bindi , and The Band Perry, and a terrific opening number arranged by Mark Ballas and Derek Hough, it was time for the results. Who did not survive the fifth week on the ABC hit? Given Monday night’s scores, the three celebrities in danger this evening pretty much made sense – Victor Ortiz, Ingo Rademacher and D.L. Hughley. The contestant leaving the ballroom this week is … D.L. Hughley. He had a good run though, right? The comedian had been near the bottom of the pack all season, so it was little surprise that his luck finally ran out. Still, sad to see him go for sure. Victor and Ingo, you’re on notice next week! Dancing With the Stars Results: A Semifinal Shocker?

The tension ran high on this evening’s Dancing With the Stars results show. Based on the scores from the semifinal round , any of the five remaining All-Stars could make a strong case for advancing … but were also at risk for going home. It’s DWTS , after all. You’re always in jeopardy until you learn you’re not. So which two were cut, and which three advanced? The two ousted dancers on Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars results show are pictured above. They are … Apolo Ohno and Emmitt Smith! It’s an all-female final! Unsurprisingly, Shawn Johnson and her partner Derek Hough made it through to the DWTS finals, as did Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony Dovolani. At the very last minute, it was also revealed that Kelly Monaco and partner Val Chmerkovskiy will also be performing in next week’s finale, outlasting Emmitt. “After tonight, this show has lost a good chunk of charisma,” co-host Tom Bergeron candidly remarked after the results were revealed, and rightly so. Just the same, Apolo and Emmitt were gracious in defeat, and Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Kelly Monaco are all captivating in their own right. What do you think? Who will win? By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron in “Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: Universal Despite their obvious differences both onscreen and off, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have formed a bond during the filming of “Snow White and the Huntsman” and even more so during the current press tour in support of the film. When MTV News caught up with Stewart recently, we asked her to compare the familiar scenario of doing interviews with her longtime “Twilight” co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner versus her new castmate, the lovely Ms. Theron. “When Rob, Taylor and I do interviews together, they usually don’t actually ask us anything. We just get to hang out and people like to watch that,” Stewart said with a laugh. “It’s fine, because I like hanging out with those guys, but it is weird. With Charlize, it’s been great, because we’re so proud of the movie and we actually only worked together for three days, so we got to know each other probably more or at least on a certain level during press, and it’s been nice. It’s been fun.” Stewart said she especially admires Theron’s ability to light up a room with her energy and humor. “Some people intimidate you. Some people’s energy is so big you feel like you don’t fit in the room, but with her, I really appreciate how different we are. I love the effect she has on people,” Stewart said. “I find it hilarious. I love watching it happen. I do not have that. Maybe I have something else, but it’s definitely not as visceral. Also, she’s really hilarious,” she added, noting that the Oscar winner uses the more colorful swear words with particular aplomb. “[She] puts me to shame, to be honest,” Stewart said. Carter Maria Menounos and Derek Hough on “Dancing With the Stars” Photo: ABC The truth is, anyone’s name could have been called to head home from ABC’s hit show “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday night and it would have been a shock. On Monday night, most of the contestants scored well with the judges. Although opera singer Katherine Jenkins has been a top performer on the show all season, she made a few missteps in one of her Monday night performances — and subsequently beat herself up about it. So folks may not have been too surprised to hear her name called as this week’s eliminated dancer. Instead, it was one of the night’s top scorers who got the boot. It ultimately came down to TV journalist Maria Menounos and her partner Derek Hough and NFL star Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd. Menounos was the one to go, despite having a near-perfect score on Monday night. The judges salivated over the Argentine tango she performed as her first dance, rewarding her with perfect 10s all around. For her second performance, she took on the jive, and the judges actually named her the winner of the night — and possibly the competition itself. When her name was called Tuesday night, Menounos said, “I learned so many things — how strong I was, to persevere … I want to thank everyone here. I want to thank Derek and my family and everyone who voted for us.” Next week, the remaining three celebrities — Latin heartthrob William Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke, Driver and Murgatroyd, and Jenkins and Mark Ballas will compete for the mirror ball trophy.
