Ice Cube Tells A Story From NWA’s Humble Beginnings As soon as those jerry curls hit the stage, it was over… Everyone knows the details from ‘Straight Outta Compton,’ but Ice Cube is here to give us a story about NWA before they made it big. The Los Angeles natives traveled across the country to New York to do a performance at The Apollo, but before they could even spit one word, “boos” filled the whole place. This story took place before they made it big, so nobody knew who they were…especially in New York. They ended up running into Rev Run after the show, who recognized Eazy-E. He told them to keep going, and not let that experience effect them because cats in New York just weren’t on their wave yet. Fast forward a couple years, the next time Ice Cube hit that Harlem stage, people were throwing money and knocking down doors to get in.
We’ve known since last month that Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell are engaged , and the couple has been refreshingly forthcoming about the details of their upcoming nuptials. Or so we thought … Joseph popped the question at Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding , and shortly thereafter, his family confirmed a number of details about his own ceremony. We quickly learned the location and date of Joseph and Kendra’s wedding in unusual fashion: The family decided to publicly post Joseph’s wedding registry , a move that many interpreted as a bold and uncouth solicitation of presents from fans. But while they were criticized for what appeared to be a desperate cash-grab, Joe and Kendra were also applauded for not keeping the details of their wedding a secret in the interest of TV ratings. Now, however, many fans believe the couple misled their social media followers by claiming they’d tie the knot in October. The above photo of Jeremy Vuolo may seem harmless, but it’s sparked a lot of suspicion from Duggar obsessives. “Kickin it w/ the wee lads at a wedding! Spurgeon is excited; Henry is confused; both are dressed to impress,” Vuolo captioned the pic. He makes no mention of whose wedding he’s attending, spurring many fans to jump to conclusions. “Did Joe get married?” commented one. “Are Joe and Kendra getting married today?? I thought it was in October! Either way, this is precious. The fun uncle!” remarked another. Jeremy didn’t respond to any of the comments, which only led to further suspicion. It’s quite a leap to make on such little information, but it is odd that Jeremy made no mention of who’s getting hitched. It’s unusual to take photos at a wedding and not tag either half of the couple, so we can see why fans believe Jeremy is hiding something. But this is the Duggar family we’re talking about. Anyone who thinks Jeremy is gonna break from the family and spill the beans publicly has got another thing coming. Every time we hear something new about Ryan Edwards and his newly revealed drug use, things just get worse and worse. Guess that’s one of the downsides to being high all the time, huh? Rumors have been circulating for months now that Ryan was using — there aren’t many other explanations for his bugged-out eyes and spacy behavior — but Maci Bookout recently confirmed things on an episode of Teen Mom OG. In the episode, Maci broke down to Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell while on vacation in Puerto Rico. She cried, saying that she’s the only person in Ryan’s life who cares about getting him clean — his parents and his then-fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, weren’t pushing him to get help. She also expressed a fear that Ryan would die from his drug use, so you know the situation is dire. Shortly after the episode aired, Ryan did check into rehab , and as far as we know, he’s still there. Perhaps we’ll receive another update after Monday night’s episode, because Maci is getting real about the matter once again. In a new sneak peek for the upcoming episode, Maci calls a counselor to get some tips on how to deal with Ryan. “I’m not really sure exactly what it is that he’s using,” she admits, “but sometimes he’ll fall asleep while you’re trying to have a conversation with him.” She also says that other times he’s “extremely wide-eyed, and he doesn’t look right.” So we still don’t know exactly what Ryan’s in rehab for this time around, though his ex-girlfriend, Dalis Connell, has claimed that he went to rehab in 2012 for abusing prescription pain killers. Maci tells the counselor that she hasn’t spoken to Ryan directly about things, but that she does want to get him help. The counselor then asks her if she’d be willing to issue some sort of ultimatum to him — the suggestion he makes is legal action regarding the custody of their son, Bentley. “I’m hoping it doesn’t get to that point,” she says, “but that would be the ultimatum.” Maci’s always tried to push Ryan to be a more active father to Bentley, so if she’s willing to go this route, it’s clear that she believes things are very, very bad . But, she acknowledges, “The other aspect of that too would be that if I’m limiting access to him, then I’m also going to have to do that with his parents, because they’re pretty much the sole caregivers of our son when he’s with his dad.” The counselor says that it sounds like Ryan’s parents enable his bad behavior, and Maci readily agrees. And so does everyone who’s ever watched an episode of Teen Mom. He also says that it sounds like she’s got an uphill battle ahead of her, and again, everyone agrees.
