Kevin Ware of Louisville is resting comfortably in the hospital this morning, hours after breaking his leg in arguably the most gruesome sports injury anyone has ever seen. The incident took place in the first half of Louisville’s Final Four victory of Duke, as the guard jumped to block a three-point attempt and landed awkward on his right leg. As you can see in the following video, the body part immediately snapped in half in front of the Cardinals’ bench, as teammates reacted in horror. Be warned: this is graphic in nature. Kevin Ware Breaks Leg “I went over and I was going to help him up and then all of a sudden, I saw what it was and I almost literally threw up,” said Coach Pitino of Ware’s bones protruding through his skin. School officials said doctors reset the bone and inserted a rod into the tibia during a two-hour procedure last night. Friends and teammates are now hoping Ware can accompany them to the Final Four in Atlanta this weekend. Pitino left his player the squad’s West Regional trophy and we send Ware our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
At least Omarosa has more time to focus on suing La Toya Jackson now. The infamous, always-erratic reality star got the chop in Donald Trump’s boardroom, the very same place where she became a “star” many seasons ago. Last night’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars involved the cast members creating actual artwork and raising money by selling it off to the highest bidder. When Lil Jon’s team lost, he took Omarosa down with him. Omarosa got canned after raising just $12,000, a paltry sum compared to Lil Jon’s $82,500, yet slightly more than Dennis Rodman’s total of $10,000. It appeared that the Big O slipped some of her own money to a friend to contribute, however, while The Worm was given props for his original work of art. With pieces like a signed Derek Jeter baseball bat, Trump was impressed … and come on, the guy just came back from North Korea . Cut him some slack. Anyway, off she goes. What do you think? Devin Velez was eliminated from American Idol last week. But the finalist hasn’t exactly gone away quietly. Following his ousting, Velez was asked about judge Nicki Minaj’s harsh critique of his Thursday night group performance, saying she “went crazy” and needed to “calm down” and added: “She could have been upset because the night before she was wearing the same colored dress as Mariah,se.'” Minaj did not take kindly to this biting comment, going off on Devin via Twitter in response. “Lol. Be mad @AMERICA when u get sent home,” Nicki wrote. “The JUDGES are the ones who FOUGHT for America to get the opp to vote for you #memba?” Minaj also shot down Velez’s claim that the judges should have used their once-per-season Save on him, bringing up the talents of Candice Glover , Janelle Arthur and others: “America r the ‘potential’ fans,” she wrote. “U MUST win them over. ‘Saves’ are bullshit and they know it. Those girls are just too good this year.” But Minaj did end her rant with some quasi advice to Devin: “Jennifer Hudson didn’t win!!! Oscar Winner! #memba??? ok. Jessica Powell recently broke up with her boyfriend after he pushed her off a cliff against her will – she was attached to a rope, mind you. But still. Boyfriend Pushes Girlfriend Off Cliff Daredevil Creighton Baird spent 45 minutes coaxing Powell to the edge of a narrow Utah canyon in hopes of embarking on a terrifying rope swing. She failed to muster up the courage. So he just shoved her off. Then she mustered the courage to break up with him mid-fall. In the video of this event, Powell can be heard letting out a series of terrified screams before yelling “I’m breaking up with you!” Baird fell over laughing. Not as much later when he realized she was serious. This was part of a series of videos shot by cinematographer Devin Graham, who says Jessica Powell later thanked Baird for giving her the push. “She came up and gave him a big hug and thanked him,” Graham claims. “They did break up, but it had nothing to do with getting pushed off the rope swing.” Sure.

That’s why it’s so hard to imagine the Taylor Gang general as a geek, but in his and Snoop Dogg ‘s upcoming film “Mac & Devin Go to High School,” the Pittsburgh rapper plays just that. “I’m super square in the movie,” Wiz told MTV News, laughing backstage at his and Snoop’s New York concert last week. “I’m a square in the movie, and I pretty much maintain that squareness. I mean, I walk on the wild side, I do some cool things, but I tapped into my nerdy side.” Though the “Mac & Devin” soundtrack hit stores Tuesday, the stoner comedy won’t be out until February. According to Wiz, it wasn’t difficult for him to turn down his cool for the camera. “That’s kind of who I am as a real person too; I was really reserved,” Khalifa said about his high school days at Taylor Allderdice High in Pittsburgh. “I was really fall-backish, so I can totally connect with my character Devin in the movie. It was real easy.” Fans got their first real glimpse of Wiz as Devin in the duo’s “Young, Wild & Free” video . In the clip, which mixes movie scenes with performance footage, Wiz’s character is seen wandering through the school halls looking extremely studious with his shirt buttoned all the way to the top. It was quite the transformation. “I had to do makeup every day to cover my tattoos. I had to spray my hair to get the blond out, but it was cool. It was an experience, and it was really, really fun to be a novice at acting, be brand-new and then have to learn,” Khalifa said. “I watched the movie, and I can actually see myself getting better in the movie.” Are you excited to see “Mac & Devin Go to High School”? ‘Young, Wild & Free’ is first clip off ‘Mac & Devin Go to High School’ soundtrack. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Matt Elias Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa on the set of “Young, Wild & Free” Photo: Matt Elias/MTV News The school year may already be in full swing, but on Wednesday, fans will get their first glimpse of Snoop Dogg and ‘s “Mac & Devin Go to High School” film when the smoked-out duo premiere the video for “Young, Wild & Free” on MTV. Starting at 6 a.m. ET the video will debut across MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, MTV.com and MTV Jams, where it will play every hour. Directed by Dylan Brown, “Young, Wild & Free,” featuring Bruno Mars on the hook, is the first video from the official “Mac & Devin Go to High School” soundtrack. While integrating movie scenes into music videos sometimes gets cumbersome, Dogg and Khalifa worked things out by cleverly filming the clip in a Montclair, California, drive-in theater. “We got some more party scenes where we just gonna be doing our verses and having the scenes from the movie play on the big screen from the actual movie ‘Mac & Devin Go to High School,’ ” Snoop told MTV News on the video set back in October. “So people get a chance to see a few scenes and see us perform at the same time.” In one particular scene, the pair race in off-road karts, with some choice video models in tow. “We just getting it crackin’ in the parking lot, man, turning this thing out, so we had a couple of our little friends in the car and we drove fast,” Wiz said. “I had to level out the playing field; I had some weight issues so I had a couple of girls roll with me to level out my car,” Snoop jokingly added. The song is a carefree affair, with Mars singing, “So what we get drunk, so what we smoke weed/ We’re just having fun, we don’t care who sees” on the track’s hook. Keeping in tune with the single’s theme, Wiz raps about rolling up and sagging his jeans while Snoop rhymes like he’s 17 years old all over again. Khalifa teases that the entire soundtrack will carry a similar mood. “We got the homey Juicy J on the soundtrack, we got Curren$y on the soundtrack, but mainly it’s just me and Dogg,” he said. “It’s a real big deal because nobody’s done it like that as far as a veteran, an O.G. in the game, a pioneer, and then the newest, youngest, most exciting dude in rap coming through and really just giving the people a complete project.” “The music is quality,” Snoop said.
