Tank, R&B Money & Toyota Celebrate ‘Women Who Move The Needle’ During BET Awards Weekend

Soul Brother Tank, R&B Money & Toyota” Honor “Women Who Move The Needle Toyota, Tank and his label R&B Money recently marked BET Weekend with a swanky soiree for a cause. On Thursday the multi-Grammy-nominated singer and his partners held a midnight soiree celebrating female change-makers in the entertainment industry, in particular, outstanding African-American women who continue to move the needle. Honorees included Juliette Jones of Atlantic Records, Ethiopia Habtermariam of Motown Records, and Latanya Newt of BET Network. This partnership is an extension of Toyota’s ongoing support of highlighting and championing African-American women across various industries. “I am absolutely thrilled that I was able to recognize some key players in the entertainment industry, who have had a personal impact on my career,” said Tank. “The Black woman should be celebrated and this is just a token of my appreciation to show the importance of Black women music execs.” Toyota Diversity & Inclusion representative, Alva Adams-Mason, stated “Toyota is proud to celebrate diversity within the entertainment industry,” added Toyota Diversity & Inclusion representative Alva Adams-Mason. “It’s women like Ethiopia, LaTanya, and Juliette, who pave the way for future women executives of color to make headways within the entertainment industry and beyond. It is moments like this that allow the brand to showcase our commitment to championing and empowering women of color to ‘go places’ and move the needle in the arts.” Soiree attendees included Nicole Murphy Selma actor Stephan James, Pleasure P, and June’s Diary. In addition to celebrating trailblazing women, Tank is celebrating success. His hit single “When We” secured the #1 spot for 11 weeks on the Billboard Adult R&B Song and UAC Radio charts and top ten on mainstream. More photos on the flip.

CNN reports that Cheeto In Chief signed the order today at the White House after being pressured by both political parties, celebrities, and world leaders. The order means that while deplorable pile of pimento is STILL criminally prosecuting everyone who crosses the border until he gets that dumb azz “wall”, the “tender age” camps and those cages should stop. “We’re going to have strong, very strong borders but we are going to keep the families together,” he said as he signed the order. “I didn’t like the sight or the feeling of families being separated.” Mind you Trump JUST hinted at being unfazed by the sight of crying children ripped from their families and told Americans he’d “rather be strong” than have a heart. Breaking News: Rapper XXXTentacion Shot &; Killed In Florida

(Photo by Miami Dade County Corrections via Getty Images) Rapper XXXtentacion Shot & Killed There’s some disturbing news breaking out of Florida today concerning rapper XXXtentacion. TMZ is reporting that the “Look At Me” rapper was shot in Florida while motorcycle shopping. Eyewitnesses to the shooting reported that he had no pulse but so far that’s unconfirmed. XXXtenacion real name Jahseh Onfroy is 20-years-old. BOSSIP has sources on the scene in Deerfield Beach, Florida where the shooting took place. ****Update**** The Broward County sheriff’s department has confirmed that XXXTentacion has been pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.

As previously reported the songstress and the SNL star recently with public with a Harry Potter inspired photo. And now Pete’s apparently so inspired by Ariana, that he decided to get TWO tattoos tributed to her; one of her initials and the other of the mask she wore in the “Dangerous Woman” video. On Saturday, tattoo artist London Reese shared a photograph of a black bunny ear mask tatted behind Davidson’s ear. “We had a good night,” he captioned the photo. Reese also deleted a photograph of Davidson’s second tattoo, which consisted of Ariana’s initials on his hand but the photo was picked up by blogs. Someone’s clearly smitten kitten. The AJC reports that the Fulton County Medical Examiner said Tuesday that the epidemiologist whose body was found in the Chattahoochee River committed suicide by drowning. The AJC adds that Cunningham’s parents told investigators their son had not been diagnosed with depression but did have mood swings. His family also asked investigators if he could have been given some type of drug that changed his behavior. Some people aren’t convinced that Cunningham self-harmed himself… What do YOU think happened???
