According to LIVEKINDLY , Jay and Bey have partnered with their homie Marco Borges and the 22-Days Nutrition Greenpoint Program to give their fans some incentive to give up meat. By signing up on the Greenpoint website you can enter to win a contest that will reward the winner with free concert tickets for life (1 show per tour for up to 30 years). We’ve previously reported on the Carter’s vegan adventures and Marcos explains what made them buy in: “They got to a point where they realized that the overwhelming information about the benefits of a plant-based diet were too hard to ignore,” says Borges, “so they decided they wanted to challenge themselves and others to move towards a plant-based diet.” Better health and better seats, sounds like a win-win.
When the world first learned that Jersey Shore would be returning to MTV , there were concerns that with the cast approaching middle-age, there wouldn’t be enough drama in their lives to sustain an entire season of television. Instead, the opposite has proven true, and it’s turned out that there’s more chaos and insanity in the guidos’ lives than could ever be contained in a single reality show. First, the relationship between Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley caused quite a stir on numerous occasions. Many assumed that the situation had come to a head when Jen dragged Ronnie with her car back in June of 2018, but amazingly, these two are still trying to make their relationship work. The same can’t be said of Jenni Farley and Roger Mathews. Jenni filed for divorce from Roger back in September but the situation has only gotten uglier in the months since. Mathews has begged Jenni to take him back in public and increasingly aggressive ways. Last month, Farley filed for a restraining order against her ex after an altercation at their home became violent. Like we said, there’s been no shortage of drama for the Seaside Six these days. And we haven’t even mentioned Mike Sorrentino’s prison sentence , which is scheduled to begin next week. But through it all, Vinny Guadagnino has mostly managed to keep his nose clean and his diet keto. “I just want him to know I am here for him,” the 30-year-old shares. “We are here for him as a safety net.” As for Farley, Vinny says he’s unconcerned about her emotional state, as he’s never met someone who’s cooler under pressure. “She’s like the exact example to follow when you have to go through something like that publicly, because she’s not impulsive; she doesn’t react on emotions, she’s like smart,” Guadagnino claims. Vinny says Jenni’s level-headed demeanor is mostly a result of the fact that she “wants the best for her children.” As for his own transition into adulthood, Vinny says his priorities have changed considerably since he turned 30 last year. While Vinny acknowledges his decade or so of hard-partying and promiscuity — saying he “had to go through that phase” — he claims those days are far behind him. These days, Vinny says his primary goals are to “get more sleep and just add on to my new healthy lifestyle.” We’re sure he’d also like to keep the Jersey Shore revival gravy train rolling. Of course, that might have to wait until The Sitch is finished serving his time. The drama never stops with this bunch! We suppose it’s a gift and a curse, as very few reality casts have kept the audience engaged for this long. View Slideshow: Jersey Shore Cast: Where Are They Now?
Source: Sun Sentinel / Getty Demi Lovato Slams Instagram For Displaying A Harmful Ad Demi Lovato took to Instagram on Friday to fight back on an issue she’s long been passionate about stopping: body shaming. Instagram removed an advertisement for a mobile game from their app after the singer posted several IG stories denouncing the ad and asking for it to be taken down. The sponsored post promoting a game called “Game of Sultans” featured two side-by-side characters, one dubbed “obese” and another called “pretty.” “Why is this fat shaming bull**it on my feed,” the 26-year-old wrote on her Instagram story. “So many things wrong with this ad.” She even tweeted about it to draw attention to the ad and how much of a problem she has with it, urging her fans to “always speak up for what you believe in.” Just called out Instagram and some bullshit game on my insta stories.. go check it out. Always speak up for what you believe in! — Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) January 4, 2019 The message from the ad is basically that only skinny women are pretty–which is clearly wrong and problematic–so Demi took it upon herself to take a stand. “This is absolutely harmful to anyone who is easily influenced by societal pressures put on us from the diet culture to constantly be losing weight in a world that teaches us to equate our value and worth with the way we look and especially anyone in recovery from an eating disorder,” she wrote. “Especially when eating disorders are all about ‘control.’” Lovato goes on to directly call out Instagram for allowing an ad that degrades the way people look on its platform. “Please Instagram, keep this bull**it off mine and other’s feeds who could easily be effected by this disgusting advertisement,” she wrote. “With how aware people are becoming of mental health and mental illnesses, I expect you guys to know better by allowing this advertisement to be allowed on your app. And shame on the game.” Following the post, Instagram ended up apologizing and told TMZ the ad violated its terms of service and would be removed. “We’re sorry. This ad was approved by mistake,” the company said. “We reviewed it again and removed it from future delivery in people’s feeds.” Continue reading →
Though there have been times when Derick Dillard says something decent , he is once again coming under fire for a tweet of his. Fans are absolutely outraged after he shared what appeared to be heartfelt story about the steps he took to lose weight when he needed to. Take a look and you’ll understand his followers and their ire. “The Key to Keeping Your 2019 Resolutions,” Derick Dillard tweeted on the same Twitter account he used to derail his reality career. The eye-catching tweet, which proved controversial for reasons that we will explain, links to a blog post. “Some of you may not know this, but 7 years ago I weighed nearly 400 pounds,” Derick’s stunning post begins. “The day was New Years Eve, 2011,” Derick writes. “And I knew I needed to discipline myself to lose 250 pounds and lose it fast!” That is quite a goal for a person to have. “I didn’t know how I was going to do it,” Derick’s surprising post says. “Nor how I would stay focused.” “But,” he writes. “I was determined that it was going to happen, and nothing could stop me.” “I even surprised myself when I saw that nearly 100 pounds had just melted away in the first month!” he claims. That would be multiple pounds of weight loss per day, alarming on multiple levels. “I ended-up ahead of schedule,” Derick says. “Dropping 251 pounds in just 3 months!” If you’re scratching your head at Derick’s unbelievable story, know that it isn’t believable for a reason. Like so much of what comes out of Derick’s mouth, it just isn’t true. “If this story sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is,” Derick announces, as if he is proud of himself. There’s a lot of talk this time of year about making resolutions,” he says. Derick continues: “Whether you intend to make a physical, financial, spiritual, or some other resolution, it’s important to have a game-plan for success.” He then outlines a generic self-help outline for reaching goals. Derick of course concludes: “nothing ultimately matters anyway unless it’s done for the one true God.” Fans who clicked through to his article and found that he had been duped were understandably outraged. “DO NOT CLICK ON THIS FOLKS,” advised one fan on Twitter. “it’s a fake ad to get you to visit their website, lies lies lies!” “They are scum and just want clicks for money for themselves,” cautions another. “Even if that means outright LYING” “Oh, I just read the whole thing,” an additional follower warns. “Shame on you for pretending to have a significant weight problem as clickbait for your blog.” “You used a lie to get money,” that same follower accuses. “I don’t think that’s very Christ-like.” The first day’s of a new year are an unnervingly predatory time on social media. Many people make resolutions to alter their diet, exercise habits, or simply to lose weight by any means necessary. Some celebrities exploit this by endorsing weight-loss products, like those that Jameela Jamil has been opposing . The products sold to often young, impressionable fans are often bad for them, and may simply give them diarrhea. In Derick’s case, he’s using a phony story to attract his personal fans to his personal blog. Is he exploiting his followers for ad revenue or just trying to make a buck like everybody else? What Derick essentially did was prank his fans. If there is ever an acceptable time for a prank (and there is not), it would be April Fool’s Day. Baiting fans with a bogus story of miraculous weight-loss is … well, ethically questionable at best, right? Still, this is far from the most reprehensible thing that Derick has ever tweeted. His transphobic attacks against Jazz Jennings, which ultimately led to his firing from Counting On , are still fresh in many people’s minds. Any grown man who would use his platform and his religion to cyberbully a teenage girl is capable of lying to get some extra clicks to his blog. We can understand why his followers felt betrayed. Source: Thomas Barwick / Getty Science Could Be Giving Us A Pill That Prevents Weight Gain Soon, we might all be able to take a pill that will let you scarf down your favorite foods without gaining any weight. SIGN. ME. UP. According to the people over at Science Daily , this pill is meant to affect the RCAN1 gene. In a study on mice, when the gene was turned off, animals could gorge on fatty foods without gaining any calories in their body. “We know a lot of people struggle to lose weight or even control their weight for a number of different reasons,” the study’s lead researcher Professor Damien Keating explained. “The findings in this study could mean developing a pill which would target the function of RCAN1 and may result in weight loss.” Removing the RCAN1 both increased the mice’s metabolism and expended the calories as heat instead of storing them. This process works for the mice to not gain weight because it turns white fat (fat that’s stored) into brown fat (fat that’s burned as heat). The original findings of Keating’s study were published in EMBO Reports . “Mice deficient for RCAN1 have an elevated metabolic rate and are resistant to diet‐induced obesity,” the report said. “Removing RCAN1 had two major effects,” Keating said. “It reduced the storage of fat in dangerous areas around the belly, for example. And then in muscle it actually [caused] muscles to burn more calories at rest.” As of now, scientists including Keating will continue to explore options for creating a pill like this for humans, so, unfortunately, we’re not out of the woods just yet. “The ideal would be to take some sort of pill that didn’t require you to watch your diet, that didn’t require you to exercise,” Keating said. “Now, that might seem like a pipe dream, but the findings that we have out of this mouse study at least indicate a novel pathway that we might be able to target.” Now we just need a time machine to jump to whatever year we actually have this pill…

Credit: First We Feast Lil Yachty Tries Hot Sauce For The First Time, And It Went Like This… If you know anything about Lil Yachty , you’ve probably heard that his diet is extremely limited–and apparently, the rapper still sticks to eating pizza every single day. His sauce repertoire isn’t any more impressive, and on the latest episode of Hot Ones , Yachty reveals that he’s never tried hot sauce in his life! “I was always curious about, like, how does hot sauce work? Growing up I used to wonder, ‘If I touched it, was it hot?’” he asks during the episode. As you can probably imagine, Lil Boat’s first experience trying hot sauce didn’t exactly go over well–especially on a show that’s too spicy for some people who’ve been eating spicy food their whole life. Check out the latest episode of Hot Ones below to see how Yachty fares with his hot sauce challenge.
Kylie Jenner has celebrated the one-month birthday of her first child by sharing a different kind of first: Her very first photo of her post-pregnancy belly. Two weeks after Jenner gave birth to Stormi Webster on February 1, the 20-year old shared a picture of herself in the driver’s seat of a car. But Kylie was wearing some kind of jumpsuit that covered her entire body, only giving fans a general glimpse of how she and her stomach were recovering from the trauma of child birth. A short while later, Jenner once again posted an image on social media. This snapshot centered on the reality star’s impressive legs … but, once again, Kylie’s belly was being kept under wraps. That was then, however, and this is now. And now Kylie is ready to show off her svelte figure, a mere month after becoming a mother to a precious little girl. Clearly psyched about all the weight she has already lost since pregnancy, Jenner wrote “1 monthhhhhhhhh” as a Snapchat caption to this image. As you can see, it features Kylie in a tight black shirt and a pair of black string bikini underwear bottoms. And that’s it. Nothing else. It’s the Kylie Jenner we all remember from several months ago, before she started to shun the spotlight in order to focus on impending motherhood. According to a previous report, Kylie has been on an insane diet of late, scarcely ever eating more than 1,500 calories per day and working out nonstop. She allegedly eats wild salmon for breakfast, turkey and salad for lunch and then maybe just soup early evening. This diet is making her “miserable,” an insider claims, but apparently it’s accomplishing its all-important goal of getting Kylie back to her pre-baby weight. Elsewhere, Travis Scott paid tribute to his one-month old in a very different way. The rapper did not share a picture of his abs or anything like that. Instead, he posted the above photo on Instagram and penned as a caption: “My lil mama 1 month today. Her favorite unit of course.” Neither Jenner nor Scott has said a whole lot about Stormi since she entered the world, although Kylie did recently respond to to one fan on Twitter in late February, saying the baby “is “good” and “looks just like me when I was a baby.” How adorable! The new mother also admitted she’s still in total awe of her daughter, telling the user she is “still staring at her all day.” And this is what Jenner had to say the day she announced the arrival of Stormi, regarding why she had been so quiet in the months leading up to that occasion: I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. my pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how. My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and i just couldn’t wait to share this blessing. I’ve never felt love and happiness like this i could burst! Thank you for understanding. There’s certainly been no shortage of drama thus far on Vanderpump Rules Season 6. In fact, the conflicts and controversies are so plentiful that they’re spilling off the screen and overflowing into our tabloids and Twitter timelines. Just this morning, we learned that Faith Stowers faked being pregnant with Jax Taylor’s baby in order to land a spot on the show. Now, the afternoon is keeping pace with some old-fashioned, skinny-shamming, joke-missing outrage centering around an interview Stassi Schroeder gave to Daily Mail Australia . Yes, Stassi is currently Down Under, delivering her caustic wit to the land of Vegemite and giant spiders that will eat your face while you sleep. Asked how she maintains her trim figure despite a schedule that seems pretty well packed with work and social obligations, Stassi had this to say: “I’m really lazy,” Stassi told the outlet. “I stay thin by trying to starve myself for the most part, if I’m being honest,” she explained to the outlet. “When I’m home in Los Angeles, it’s like one meal a day.” Stassi added, “But when I go out of town or on work trips, it’s breakfast, lunch and dinner.” Now, this is an object lesson in the danger of print interviews. If Stassi had tearfully confessed that she starves herself, the Mail would’ve said so. As it is, they didn’t describe her inflection at all so we think it’s safe to say that Stassi wasn’t actually opening up to a group of Aussie strangers about her eating disorder, but was instead simply joking. Sure enough, Stassi recently cleared things up on social media, tweeting: “Mmm. There was an element of sarcasm while I was doing that interview,” along with several food emojis. Sadly, emojis for ranch dressing and fried goat cheese balls don’t exist yet. Of course, her diet is far from the most dramatic element of Stassi’s life these days. On last night’s episode of Vanderpump , viewers finally got to meet her longtime on-again, off-again boyfriend, Patrick Meagher. Because people on the internet are easily confused the appearance sparked rumors that Stassi and Patrick are back together . As far as we know, that’s not true, which is a good thing, as dude is a chronic mansplainer and he looks like Riff Raff. Get you a man that looks like Khal Drogo and knows how to mix up a top-notch strawberry margarita, girl. Watch Vanderpump Rules online to get caught up on what’s already been one hell of a drama-packed season.
Sometimes it seems like Amber Portwood just can’t catch a break. Between her issues with addiction, the hard reality that comes with being a teen mom (and a Teen Mom), and, you know, Matt Baier , things have always looked kind of rough for her. To add onto her pile of hardships, she’s also got a number of mental illnesses: she’s been open about her anxiety and her bipolar disorder, and more recently she’s been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder . It’s a lot to deal with, and as Amber reveals in a new interview with Women’s Health, she doesn’t deal with it all that well at times. She says that she spent a good part of 2015 losing weight that she’d steadily gained after getting sober, and she got down to 130 pounds, which was a good weight for her. But then, in 2016, she found herself profoundly depressed. So much so that Matt had to drag her out of bed. She went to see a psychiatrist, which is when she received the borderline personality diagnosis. “When I got the diagnosis,” she says, “I wanted to keep it a secret.” “While everyone knew about my other diagnoses — I’ve had anxiety since I was a kid, for as long as I can remember — I guess it was tragic to think I had another mental disorder.” For a while, Matt was the only person who knew, and he actually accompanied her to one of her appointments so her doctor could talk to him. When Amber was told that she’d most likely be on medications to deal with her mental disorders for the rest of her life, she broke down, but she says Matt was there to hold her hand. Matt Baier, doing something sweet and not completely creepy ? The mind boggles. Amber was put on some new medications, including a mood stabilizer. She says she’s happy with what she’s on because she feels “amazing and normal” now, and her meds aren’t ones she can get addicted to. But when she started the meds, she got “cravings like crazy,” and she also got “very tired.” And neither of those things are good for weight loss. In that time, she gained back all the weight she’d worked so hard to lose months before. She tried a no-carb, no-sugar diet — the diet that helped her lose the weight in the first place — but it didn’t work for her. As of now, she’s lost 10 pounds, and though there’s “extra pressure” to lose more weight for her wedding in October (gag), “I’m using that as motivation.” The whole point of sharing her story, she says, is because so many medications for mental illnesses cause weight gain. “For women who are suffering from mental health issues, I want them to know that other people are going through the same thing,” she explains. “And you don’t have to do this alone.” You’re a gem, Amber. You really are. Now drop Matt Baier and own it.
