The R&B superstar released his latest single, ” Scream ,” on Thursday (April 26), and it has chart-topper written all over it. The Max Martin-produced banger finds Usher in familiar territory, singing the virtues of living for the moment — just as he did on 2010’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,” which was also helmed by Martin. With a pounding beat and a massive, swelling hook, the song returns Usher to the club after his recent foray into slow-jam territory with “Climax,” the Diplo-produced first single from his forthcoming Looking for Myself. “I see you over there, so hypnotic Thinking ’bout what I do to that body/ I get you like ooh baby baby,” Ush sings. “Got no drink in my hand/ But I’m wasted/ Getting drunk off the thought of you naked/ I get you like ooh baby baby.” In addition to his own new album, Usher also recently hit the studio with David Guetta to record a follow-up to their hugely successful collaboration “Without You.” Usher made a surprise appearance during Guetta’s set at Coachella on April 14. “These are really big records that we’re working on right now,” Guetta told The Hollywood Reporter of his new track with Ush. “It’s really crazy.” Head to our Newsroom blog to see why it’s time for an Usher greatest-hits album. Looking for Myself is set for release on June 12 and is expected to be released in both standard and deluxe editions. The album is Usher’s follow-up to his 2010 smash Raymond v. Maybe Bey Bey was trying to tell us something about her new musical direction when she popped up at Cochella on her indie rock flow to support the hubby last year. Elctro-funk-hip-hop DJ/and producer Diplo just revealed he is one of people Beyonce has recruited for her super secret fourth solo album and that new genre she’s creating . On Monday (Jan. 24), Diplo — who is best known for his work with M.I.A. and as one-half of the duo Major Lazer (with longtime collaborator Switch) — revealed that he, Beyoncé, and Derek of the indie electro-pop duo Sleigh Bells recently recorded music together in a New York studio. “I like sleigh bells so much,” Diplo wrote on the blog for his label imprint, Mad Decent. “Me and switch was in studio in nyc tryin to make tracks with derek and beyonce last week after we played her team their album…dunno if we gonna manage to finish but it was good times.” Sleigh Bells appeared to corroborate Diplo’s post with a somewhat crytpic message their Twitter page: “yeah damn beyonce on it was intense track may not get finished (?) but we finished the rum off at least” Who is Sleigh Bells? They’re a “noise pop” duo out of Brooklyn that looks like this… And sounds like this when they work with Diplo… Do you think Beyonce can pull this sound off? Source

Dutch dance producer tells MTV News how he contributed to C. Breezy’s Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Diplo collabo. By Akshay Bhansali Afrojack in an MTV News Skype interview Photo: MTV News Afrojack already had reason to celebrate as he headed into the New Year. The Dutch dance-music producer’s pop-dance single “Take Over Control,” featuring singer Eva Simons, made the top 25 on Billboard ‘s Dance/Club Play Songs chart in December. And now his second U.S. release, packed with hip-hop heavy-hitters, seems primed for chart success. MTV News caught up with the EDM producer (born Nick van de Wall) for a skype chat last week, and he talked about his contribution to Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now,” the latest offering from the singer’s upcoming F.A.M.E. album. The track is a fast-rapping flurry of awesome self-indulgence courtesy of Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne and Chris, with an eerie downtempo beat cooked up by chefs Afrojack and Diplo. The pair of producers previously collaborated on “Pon De floor,” off Diplo’s Major Lazer full-length release, and according to Afrojack, “Look at Me Now” is the product of a beat he’d passed along to the Philadelphia beatsmith. “Yeah, Diplo called me,” Afrojack recalled. “He was like, ‘We are in the studio right now, and we are gonna do a track on the beat.’ And I was like, ‘OK, whatever. Have fun.’ ” Eventually, “Look at Me Now,” was born. While Afrojack sounded casual about the song’s evolution, he said he’s certainly pleased with the finished product. “I just love these kind of people on a track like this,” he said. “It’s like hip-hop, but really weird kind of hip-hop. “Busta’s verse on it is really sick,” he continued. “It’s like I can’t even hear what he said, but I love the part where he goes [ mimics Busta’s rapid flow ], and then pauses and goes rapping really quickly. And I don’t know how to do it, I don’t even try. But it was really, really cool.” So what’s next for Afrojack?
