Katy Perry’s a cute girl any way you look at it, but she apparently wasn’t a huge fan of this Twitter photo posted by husband Russell Brand. An image of Mrs. Brand that’s not altogether flattering appeared online (and appears below) this weekend. It has since been taken down. Not a bad way to get on your wife’s bad side, fellas … The greatness that is Twitter personified in one photo . He may be in the doghouse, but props to Russell Brand. Like an album announcement courtesy of Lady Gaga with no pants , this was quite entertaining and gave us genuine insight into their lives, not just what some publicist tells us. That said, we hope the couch is comfortable tonight.

But it has created deep reservoirs of distrust with the president's ability to handle high-stakes negotiations and has compelled even former staffers to level blunt criticisms about the White House's politics. “I think the president made a huge mistake in supporting any extension of tax cuts,” said Steve Hildebrand, the deputy national director of Obama's presidential campaign and a strategist who has long grown sour on Washington. “We can't afford it as a country, and we should recognize that. Fantasia Barrino may possess an incredible voice, but she’s known more for her scandal-filled personal life than anything else these days. The latest bombshell to drop from this former American Idol champion arrives courtesy of her recent court testimony, as Fantastia was a witness in boyfriend Antwaun Cook’s divorce proceedings against ex-wife Paula yesterday. Under oath, Barrino reportedly stated she got pregnant by Cook and had an abortion. In August, Cook admitted he had been sleeping with the singer, but said Fantasia was unaware he was still married. That was the focus of a line of questioning in front of a Mecklenburg County Court judge yesterday, as Paula Cook’s attorney pressed Barrino on whether or not she knew her boyfriend was still living with his wife during their relationship. Because reporters were barred from the courtroom, it’s unknown exactly what exchange led to Fantasia’s admission, but multiple sources told Radar Online she confirmed the abortion and said it took place around the time of her summer suicide attempt . Antwaun and Paula are in court because they were unable to settle on terms of a divorce through private mediation. Meanwhile, it’s still conceivable that Paula could sue Fantasia over the unusual Alienation of Affection law, which North Carolina still has on the books and which states that an abandoned spouse can file lawsuit against the party responsible for the dissolution of a marriage.

Yesterday, Capri Anderson had her day in front of the camera, giving multiple interviews to ABC and explaining her side of the infamous night she spent in NYC with Charlie Sheen. Now, the actor wants to have his day in court, as he’s filed a lawsuit against the porn star, alleging she tried to extort him for $1 million in exchange for silence over his drug-fueled rampage that October evening. “This case involves a shakedown and extortion of the internationally known actor and celebrity Charlie Sheen… by an opportunist pornographic film star and publicity-hungry scam artist,” reads the lawsuit filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The document goes on to say that Anderson (real name: Christina Walsh) “fabricated a sensational tale about being assaulted, battered and held against will.” Capri most recently claimed she was paid $3,500 to be Sheen’s date for the night, witnessed the sitcom star snorting a white substance and then locked herself in a bathroom after he wrapped his hands around her neck and threw a lamp in her direction. Sheen states Anderson contacted him soon after the night in question and asked for at least $1 million. When he “refused to succumb to Walsh’s extortionate and illegal demands,” according to the suit, her reps contacted the Aspen authorities that prosecuted Sheen for domestic violence and attempted to have his probation revoked. The lawsuit, filed by attorney Marty Singer, also accuses Anderson of stealing Sheen’s $165,000 Patek Philippe watch. This is all pretty much a case of He Said/She Said/They Both Suck. Peter Fonda Wrote Easy Rider in a Seedy Toronto Motel and You Should Too

Peter Fonda recently said that he wrote the script for Easy Rider without the aid of drugs between 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. in a low-rent Toronto motel. Since most of the film industry is currently in this very city, it seems like the perfect time to see if lightning will strike twice. Instead of sleeping tonight, I challenge all festival-goers to take a break from the blog updates and crowded screenings, hole up in the cheapest motel you can find and write your own script, Fonda-style. Arizona Republicans are running “street people” on the Green Party ticket to siphon votes from Democrats. Is this fair play? From the New York Times: “Did I recruit candidates? Yes,” said Mr. May, who is himself a candidate for the State Legislature, on the Republican ticket. “Are they fake candidates? No way.” “Are you fake, Grandpa?” he said to Anthony Goshorn, 53, a candidate for the State Senate whose bushy white beard and paternal manner have earned him that nickname on the streets. “I’m real,” he replied. To make his point, Mr. May went by Starbucks, the gathering spot of the Mill Rats, as the frequenters of Mill Avenue are known. “Are you fake, Benjamin?” he yelled out to Mr. Pearcy, who cried out “No,” with an expletive attached. “Are you fake, Thomas?” Mr. May shouted in the direction of Thomas Meadows, 27, a tarot card reader with less than a dollar to his name who is running for state treasurer.
