Bobbi Kristina Brown: Bizarre Funeral Plans Draw Criticism From Friends and Family

Earlier this week, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away , six months after she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Atlanta-area home. Bobbi Kristina’s funeral has been scheduled for Monday, but it seems that even though she’s finally at rest, the controversy surrounding the troubled 22-year-old is far from over. Earlier today, we reported that Nick Gordon is begging Bobby Brown to allow him to attend the funeral . Now, it seems other people in Bobbi Kristina’s life are threatening to skip the ceremony due to bizarre arrangements being made by Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston. Radar Online is reporting that Pat is planning a “sweet 16-themed” funeral , and several friends and family members have already expressed their disapproval of the idea. Sources say famed singer and family friend Dionne Warwick has been the most vocal critic, even going so far as to tell Pat that she refuses to attend a funeral with such a macabre theme. “Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral,” says one insider. “Pat Houston is taking over even though she should be making decisions with Bobby, and not doing it on her own.” Warwick has reportedly slammed the idea as “stupid and disrespectful to Bobbi Kristina,” but sources say Pat is insisting on the theme due to a conversation she once had with Krissi, in which the deceased daughter of Whitney expressed her regret over never having a traditional sweet 16 party. We’ll find out on Monday if Pat had her way, or if the many critics of the idea were able to talk her into a more traditional ceremony. 19 Kids and Counting Editor: Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A veteran 19 Kids and Counting staff member was arrested for possession of sick child pornography and sent to prison, according to a new report. Before the Josh Duggar molestation scandal broke and ultimately led to the TLC show’s demise, William Blankinship, 60, was arrested. He was charged with 10 felony counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a child in 2011, and Radar has the revolting details . Blankinship, who worked on the disgraced Duggar family’s series, took a plea deal to serve 2-3 years and prison plus probation. He was also ordered to complete a sex offender program, register as a sex offender, and avoid children under the age of 16. Blankinship worked closely on other TLC reality shows involving children, such as Jon & Kate Plus 8 , during its ratings heyday. He also briefly worked as an editor on former TLC series Table For 12 , featuring a family of sextuplets and two sets of twins. Josh Duggar was accused in police reports of fondling five minor females, including four of his younger sisters, in 2002-03. TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting two months after the secret reports leaked, as the family’s image never recovered.

Bill Gothard: Duggar Family’s Disgraced Minister Was Funded by Hobby Lobby

In case you somehow haven’t heard, arts and crafts retail chain Hobby Lobby was at the heart of a controversial Supreme Court decision earlier this week.  Millions are outraged that the Oklahoma-based business has been permitted to cite a religious exemption from the national healthcare requirement that they provide coverage for contraceptives. Hobby Lobby Ruling: What Does It Mean? Now it seems the company may have been involved in even more scandalous practices motivated by its executives’ religious principles: Bill Gothard is a minister and home schooling advocate whose adherents include Sarah Palin and the Duggar family, stars of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting.  Gothard was recently ousted as head of his own church following allegations that he harassed and molested several of his female employees. Today it’s been revealed that Gothard and the controversial fundamentalist organization he founded were funded in large part by Hobby Lobby. Gothard and the Institute in Basic Life Principles that he ran for several decades reportedly received hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and real estate from Hobby Lobby CEO David Green and his family. The Institute in Basic Life Principles was a source of controversy even before Gothard’s sex scandal, as Gothard and his fellow ministers espoused far-right fundamentalist ideas that proved too radical for many evangelicals.  The deeply religious Duggars have been called TV’s most powerful family,  and one of Gothard’s victims has publicly urged them to break from the disgraced minister’s institute. Happy Rosh Hashanah from Anthony Weiner, who got into an argument with a voter in a Jewish deli this morning and showed his true colors once again. Proving once and for all why he will never become mayor of New York City, Weiner lost it when a potential constituent suggested that he call it a campaign. Zach Sobiech Dies: "Clouds" Singer Was 18

Zach Sobiech, who fought bone cancer since his osteosarcoma diagnosis at 14, succumbed to the disease after a long battle. He died at age 18. The Children’s Cancer Research Fund reported on its website: “Zach was at home and at peace with those he loved most. Zach’s life ended just as he lived, embraced by the love of his family, friends, grace and music.” Zach wrote, recorded and released “Clouds,” a song about facing death, on YouTube in December; it’s been viewed at least three million times since. The Children’s Cancer site added, ”Cancer may have taken Zach too soon, but he leaves a lasting legacy that many of us will never achieve.” “His message of love and hope delivered through infectious lyrics and simple tunes have imprinted on the minds and hearts of millions around the world.” Zach Sobiech – Clouds Zach’s family released a statement as well: “It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our son Zachary David Sobiech,” they said. “Our family has been blessed not only by his amazing presence in our lives, but also by the love and support of our family and friends and by so many people in the community.” “In particular we’d like to thank those people who listened with their hearts and helped Zach bring his message and his music to the world.” Zach’s parents Rob and Laura, and siblings Alli, Sam and Grace ask that all memorials be directed to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund. Comedienne April Macie said, on Howard Stern’s radio show Monday, that the disgraced cyclist once asked her to perform a lewd sex act on him. What was said act, you ask? You’re not going to believe the details. Macie, a frequent guest on the Howard Stern Show , claims that Lance Armstrong once asked her to lick his butt in a hotel bathroom. Seriously. She and a friend allegedly enjoyed a night out in L.A. with Lance “5-6 years ago,” and eventually returned to his hotel room … where $h!t got weird. “I went to use the bathroom, and I went in and Lance was bent over a bathtub and she was just face deep in his a**hole. I was terrified,” she said. “Then he said [to her]: ‘Does your friend want in on a round too?’” “I was like: ‘Of taint tickling? I’m gonna take a pass’ … I think it’s hilarious that he would ask without even knowing my first name … to eat his a**hole.” “Like: ‘Do you want in on a round too? Of **hole eating? I got pretty for the evening. I didn’t know he was going to ask me to eat his asshole later on.”” Macie’s hotel bathroom horror story is just the latest in a series of public humiliations for Lance Armstrong, who is now facing a number of lawsuits. He’s also been abandoned by many friends and sponsors who supported him during his cycling career, in which he won seven Tour de France titles. He admitted using performance-enhancing drugs in an interview with Oprah this year, a long-awaited confession meant to facilitate his return to sports. Whether that works out for the colossal fraud remains to be seen. Allegations of ass-eating requests won’t exactly help his image rehab, in any case.

Cate Edwards: "Devastated" By Rielle Hunter-John Edwards Affair

When Cate Edwards learned that her father, former presidential candidate John Edwards, was cheating on her mother, Elizabeth, she was crushed. The 31-year-old daughter of the disgraced former U.S. senator adds that he personally admitted to her that he had had an affair with Rielle Hunter . “I guess he and my mom decided that that was how it needed to be done. So yeah, I was devastated. And I was very disappointed,” Edwards said. “I mean, these are my parents. I had grown up with a lot of love in my family. And it was hard to see them go through this,” Cate said in an interview on Today . Asked if she was mad, Cate Edwards said, “Yeah, of course.” She gave a dignified response when asked about the “unpleasant things” Rielle Hunter wrote in her book, What Really Happened, John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me . “I just thought it was … a poor choice, I guess, is all I can say.” Cate spoke fondly of her mother, Elizabeth Edwards, who passed away after a brave struggle with cancer, saying, “I miss her in sort of big ways and small ways.” “The big things that go by, like my wedding. She wasn’t able to be there. But we got to talk about it. I felt incredibly lucky that I got the chance to even have that conversation with her. “I carried out some of her vision which was great, to sort of feel her presence there even though she wasn’t there. And then there are small things. I mean, I get away with bad grammar.” “I never used to get away with bad grammar.”

Beyonce Responds to Lip Sync Controversy, SINGS National Anthem at Press Conference

With talk somehow still circulating around the Beyonce lip sync scandal at last week’s Presidential Inauguration, the singer took to the podium today at a Super Bowl press conference and first address the issue. “I am a perfectionist,” she said. “I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show and a very important moment for me.” And in case that wasn’t satisfactory enough, the Sasha Fierce one that SANG live for reporters. Watch her new Star Spangled-Banner performance now: Beyonce Sings National Anthem at Press Conference Earlier in the day, Beyonce miscarriage headlines also popped up over the Internet after the superstar opened up about the most traumatic event in her life. That’s a terribly sad story, but at least it may have given her perspective over the past week to shrug off this total lip-synching nonsense. Can we all put it to rest now?

Charlie Sheen – yes , that Charlie Sheen – thinks you are a “creepy douche.” Those were the words Sheen used to described the disgraced cyclist during an appearance on The Tonight Show yesterday, although he seemed more upset that Armstrong blew him off in person awhile back than that whole performance-enhancing drugs thing.
