It’s Questionable Poster Day here at Movieline! Hot on the heels of that not-so-good poster for Straw Dogs comes an equally not-so-good poster for John Carter . The 2012 Disney adaptation of the novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs featuring John Carter (a Civil War veteran and not John Carter of E.R. , FYI ) recently dropped the of Mars from its title, but the poster makers apparently weren’t aware of that fact. That’s because Disney has announced that Oz: The Great and Powerful will hit theaters on March 8, 2013, opposite Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. (Nothing like planning in advance.) James Franco and Mila Kunis will co-star for director Sam Raimi, while Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz are in talks for other roles. Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas all but assured their place in next week’s finale by taking a Winner Take All dance in Monday’s Dancing With the Stars semis. We can debate whether or not this new scoring wrinkle is fair, but what’s not up for debate is how far the Disney Channel star has come in recent weeks. Capturing the Winner Take All Cha-Cha and its 15 extra points will help her cause, but she also scored a combined 58 in the other two routines last night. Speaking on Kane’s behalf in a pre-recorded segment, friend Joe Jonas said of Chelsea, “she’s doing such a great job. I think this is just the beginning.” She’ll be tough to beat next week in any case.
